The Artie with sweet potato fries
    Colette G.

This is a 5 star dive bar and restaurant. Hasn't changed in 30 years, and there's a comfort to that for me. Wood paneling and sports memorabilia on the walls. Small tables and booths in restaurant area. And the bar is as neighborhood feel as they get. Spent many nights here when I was in college at St Joseph's. 30 years later, came for a meal and a drink. Service was friendly and fast. The menu is typical bar fare, with a flare for value! Meals come with soft drink, huge salad and for $3 upgrade a small pitcher of sangria or beer, equivalent to 2 pint glasses! We started with mozzarella sticks. Nice size, generous portion and perfectly cooked. With 3 in our party we got a huge side salad to share, and couldn't finish it. This comes with your meals. You choose your own dressing and get individual bowls to serve yourself. I love this! The burgers are amazing! So many choices. I went with a classic..The Artie, which is cheddar & bacon. It was cooked perfectly! I love that they offer more than just fries as your side dish. Regular fries, steak fries, baked potato, sweet potato fries or linguini you can choose from. I went sweet potato and they were great. Our server was so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed reminiscing and had a great meal at a great value. I forgot how much I love this place. I won't wait another 30 years before I come back.

Came home to Long Island to visit family and had to visit this great place. Things haven't changed. Still as good as I remember. When you enter there is a bar area off to the right. Then there is a bunch of restaurant seating parallel to the bar and in the back. The place was hoping and the waitress non stop moving helping tables. We placed our order and got the all you can drink beer. When ever a pitcher was empty it was filled up nice a quick. I always love getting the burgers. So many to choose from. They have a great selection.

Went for Mother's Day and we had to get the high tower which was good, I think it was priced high for what it was. Shrimp sandwich was my favorite. Why I'm not rating it higher: I made the reservation 2 weeks before Mother's Day, the only thing available was a 10:45am so I took it. They called me two days before to confirm and said they had a 1:30 available, I started asking questions about the food more being suited toward lunch or breakfast, a bit snippy they put me on hold, I txt my wife quick and she said take the 1:30, the woman gets back on the phone and says sorry someone on the other line just took the 1:30... I said.... What! I was offered it and didn't give you an answer yet. She didn't care and was very dismissive. Won't be returning,

So 2026 did not come in hot for me. My little romances with Italian Mr. Big and my half-Italian…read moreAiden? Yeah... both fizzled. On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

Came here on a Saturday night for a private dinner party followed by some drinks at the bar. Off…read morethe get go, customer service was great and offered a coat check free of charge for my jacket and umbrella since it was raining, definitely helped make it feel just a touch more upscale than your usual restaurant. Our wait staff was nothing but kind and patient with our moderately large party and checked up on us without being overbearing. Ambiance is very cool, and definitely leans into its classic and nostalgic feel of its name, but not in a campy way. If you bring a date here, they would be impressed by the nice tile and wooden features alone, but it's the food that is really going to blow them away, but we will get to that next. The menu and cocktails do rotate seasonally a bit, so your experience may vary on availability for some items, but if you come back often enough (and spoiler, you will want to), you'll see them comeback! We started with Caesar salad, calamari, and Korean fried wings with the easy standout being the fried wings, a bit spicy but delicious but buyer beware they are messy (don't worry though, they give you moist towelettes to clean yourself off), calamari was cooked exactly how it needed to be and not rubbery, and the Caesar salad was as good as I've had it anywhere (although there's was made with tahini, giving it a little sesame flair). For mains, we had a pesto pasta, steak frites with an au poivre sauce, with sides of jersey asparagus and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked just right and I'd dip almost anything in that sauce, and the pesto pasta was a nice lighter and herby balance to the meal. Fries were perfectly crisp shoestring style and the other end of the potato spectrum was the delightfully smooth mashed potatoes and gravy. Asparagus has always been my favorite green, and adding a cream sauce with bacon only makes this version of it that much more enticing. Capping off with dessert, we had the chocolate Basque cheesecake, a brown sugar pie, and a pistachio cake. Choosing a favorite out of these is like choosing a favorite child I'm sure, but I am still craving more of that cheesecake, RUN do not walk to get that at the very least. Parking can be crazy in patchogue, there is a small attached lot and some street parking, but I'd advise using one of the municipal lots nearby and walking a little bit for your own sanity. One of my favorite dining experiences in patchogue to date, and will be happy to comeback here to try more of the menu for any occasion!

There's a rotating list of cocktails as well as the staples. Last time I got a potato chip martini of sorts, because why not, and it was actually super tasty! Brunch is also a good time to come with a limited menu so you're not overwhelmed with a little of everything on it. I tried the salmon caesear salad which was light with a nice dressing. We also tried the pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, as well as the steak and eggs (can't go wrong). Bottomless mimosas are also offered for $25 additional. I can't wait to do lunch/dinner here in the future.

Visit Date: December 11, 2024…read more I came here with the guy I'm dating. We like to go to the vinyl nights that Tom Perrone has, with other people from 8 o'clock shot (the best group on facebook). Tom and Maria were hosting a Wednesday night Vinyl Night at Fadely's. This place is so interesting. I couldn't stop looking around at all the decor, everywhere I looked I saw something new tucked into one of the nooks & crannies of the place. It was raining when we went but the outside looked like a great place to be. There was one spot where you can shelter from the rain and they hung an upside down Christmas tree in it. The drink offerings seem to be a wide variety and good choices. I don't drink alcohol so I had my orange juice and seltzer which is one of my go to drinks if I'm not having a non alcoholic beer. Everyone here was nice and friendly including the bartender. I would come here again, a nice place to hang out.

The place offers live music occasionally and has a ton of space both indoors and out back to hangout, both with TVs in case you have any sport viewing you want to do as well. I definitely recommend the outdoor area if you've got a nice enough night for it. The drink variety won't blow your pants off, but it's got something for everybody and at prices that won't blow your pants off either. Although I didn't get a chance to try any of the food, from what I saw though it looked like good bar fare, and I in particular was eyeing the pizza. There's no dedicated parking lot, but there is some decent parking along the side streets nearby that shouldn't give you too much issue. This place is a nice change up from the typical scene you see a long main street. It might not be the loud and club like vibe you might be looking for, but for me that's quite alright. Would be happy to come back here anytime for a cold hard beverage and good conversation.
