Last week we visited the the shop in search of a BONG (water pipe) to use smoking my prescription Marijuana for my PTDSD MST. The young man running the shop (name I'm drawing a blank) is very personable and friendly. He is also educated in the Products theory sell. T-shirts, shorts, sandals, Boba Iced Tea, any many other treats and delights. Amsterdam Vape Cafe & Gallery are providing a service to our community which is dearly needed. There are other store with similar items, however the other shops are not providing this level of service. I will post pictures later read more

Called if they vape related things and was told they had plenty, just to find out on arrival they only had 2 items, 2 items isn't plenty. Definitely not recommended for vape...... He doesn't just buy anything to sell. Our friend will only shop at this shop now. She tried others in the area but not the same. His knowledge and better products is why we come back. read more

Honestly the coolest glass shop in SLO county abs hella kind, knowledgeable guys. Dope variety of colorful, quality artsy pieces, bongs, etc. and always have the Puff/Flum bar varieties I want. Date of visit to Grover Beach location: Sunday, Sept. 3rd 2017 This is truly a one-stop shop for all your Vaping / Hookah needs and more! In all honesty, Amsterdam Vape Cafe & Gallery is by far the best Hookah lounge / Vape shop I have ever visited. Now obviously I have not been to every single Hookah lounge, but I have been to quite a few across California in the 10+ years I have been smoking shisha/hookah. The location is great, although it does not even matter. I believe if Guy picked up his lounge and moved it to Nebraska, it would still be amazing. The ambiance of the Hookah lounge was admirable. It was Reggae Sunday, which I have come to know is every Sunday, and it helped create a great environment for my wife and I to just unwind and relax after a very eventful day on the sand dunes and the pool. The expansive knowledge of the products that are available on-site was a breath of fresh air. I have been to many vape shops and have had to leave without having all my questions answered properly. This will never occur at Amsterdam Cafe. The menu items on the beverage menu are unlike what you would expect for a Hookah lounge. For example, Italian soda and Boba drinks can be enjoyed here. I had the passion-fruit Italian soda. The customer service / attention given to my wife and I is completely unmatched to anywhere else. For this alone, Amsterdam Cafe and their team deserve 5+ stars. I am from Sacramento, and this location is about 5 hours away from me, but I'm sure the next time I am in the area of Pismo or Grover Beach, CA, I will be making my stop here. I'm already planning on buying the Hookah we were able to use in the lounge here. Never seen one like it. I will also be adding some photos from the visit. P.S. Best hookah place I have been to. What makes it the best? Yes the hookah is smooth. With flavor. Exactly what is should be, you just don't know yet. And... my visual senses are pleased! The baristas are making my eye dry since I am not even blinking. The place is so nicely decorated, clean, attention to detail. Did I mention you can get a latte ?? Yes! I am getting an amazing latte! I have always had a rad experience here i think there whole new layout is going to be successful! My husband just walked in with a banger for our e-nail and instantly noticed there was a handle broken off. We questioned what to do since it doesn't make much of a difference. My husband went back as its just right down the street to see if maybe there were others. There wasn't any the same size. Regardless the boss gave him half his money back. This place is cool! I've passed it so many times and have never noticed it before. It has a lounge vibe. There is a really beautiful fish tank and there is attractive modern lighting throughout. We ordered a gummy bear flavored shisha and it was pretty delicious. The staff was very nice and checked on us periodically. They serve water, tea, coffee, boba, and some other refreshments. The music is just a tad loud I think for the size of the place and the amount of people that were in there but that didn't stop us from having an awesome time!! :) read more

This is a great one stop shop for all of the locals and anyone visiting the area. The owner of the shop, Guy, is very friendly and helpful. If you've not tried Kratom before, you should and this is the place to buy it from! They have a great selection and can discuss all of the different options with you on an educated level. Red Borneo - is great for pain relief, relaxation/sleep, Bali Gold - is also great for pain yet seems to have less sedating effects, Maeng Da - is another great option for pain relief and offers a lot of energy and creativity. He is also always willing to get product restocked as quickly as possible and is always open to suggestions on new things for his store. Super friendly staff and helpful! The town I live in didn't have the biggest selection of Vapes so I came here while I was in Grover Beach. Came in looking for a specific brand of disposable vape and they recommended a different brand that I had tried before but didn't like until they showed me the air control on it. I had complained to different shops about not liking it before and all it took was someone at Amsterdam to recommend the air flow change and they had a really good flavor I hadn't seen in other shops. From the moment we walked in, until we walked out. Excellent service, excellent environment. The place is setup perfectly, very nice modern furniture and decor, lighting is awesome, and the staff is on point. Very attentive, friendly and they know their stuff. The aquarium that divides the shop from the lounge is beautiful. Glass hookahs are primed, and the bowl was well packed and lasted. The only thing they need to improve on: the menu. If they are gonna just have a "board menu" then it needs to be a little bigger. But the place is perfect, environment, experience, and the energy. I've never been to a hookah lounge quite like this. This place was clean, unique, and quite cozy. They clearly care about the customer experience, which is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Immediately, you see the cleanliness and modern design of the place, but then you are greeted by very friendly staff. In my experience, staff at hookah places are fairly arrogant and aren't very inviting - it's quite the opposite here. They are very helpful in their recommendations, and they are passionate about their craft. However, I'm not just talking about the smooth and delicious hookah - you've got to try the espresso drinks! You should definitely give this place an hour of your time (at least!). I know I will be coming here much more in the near future! read more

Not super stoked on my experience. Bought some glass here the other day. Came back from the store took it out put it on my desk. I filled it with water and left my room for about 10 minutes. I then lifted up the glass and noticed that there was a huge leak. The next day I called the store and they told me to bring it in and they would be able to help me out. So I drive the 25 minutes to the store and put it on the table. The employee/ owner takes a look at it and says there's about a 20% chance that the supplier will take it for exchange. But how is that my issue if you sold me something that's broken. Long story short they will refuse to exchange what they have sold to you and all the employees are tools who look like they base every life decision based on what will gain them the most tik tok followers. I'd stay away. read more

Upon walking into Amsterdam, I felt like the environment and aromas were pleasant. But after coming back a couple times, I started to realize the lack of care towards a "valued" customer. Beyond the overly-loud music (which genuinely makes it hard to hear employees), the shop never has the coils for my vape. What makes it even worse, is the fact that they sold me the vape that the coil goes to. And what makes it EVEN worse, is the fact that they will tell you a day they will get It in, and then don't. When you go back on the new date you are told they will be in, they still don't have your product. This problem seems to trend across many products they carry including juules. Don't waste your time looking for coils, new tanks, or vaporizers here. In terms of glass selection, I seem to find better stock and newly updated products at competing shops. And prices are pretty absurd. A quick google search will inform you of that. Employees were helpful, and informative, but search elsewhere for glass and vape products. read more

Doesn't get much better guys! The first time I came into this location I thought I knew a lot about my vape and vape products in general but I was sooo uneducated, the workers here are so educated and good at what they do that I bought a entirely new mod ontop of there personal favorite juices. Turns out I was using very dangerous batteries and wasn't on any of the settings I thought I was...this owner actually cares about the customers, cares about there safety and doesn't lie to you, doesn't push products onto you for sales, doesn't miss educate you just so you feel comfortable with the product, they are honest with you and want you to enjoy the experience, taking there time to individually help everyone and answer literally any question you have. They have a high tolerance for someone that doesn't understand very well, since I asked the same question about 50 times to see if it would change... as a professional brand ambassador I am very critical on customer service and commission based sales people. I never once felt like I was pressured into a purchase or anything similar. I spent 5 hours here but times flys when your having fun. Being from LA, Venice beach/DogTown area this place just makes me feel even more like home, ever since I moved back here I've been searching high and low for something as welcoming and bashful as my hookah/smoking lounges I went regularly to in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. I was simply heart broken!! So to everyone here me out here !!!! Are you are age 21+ and simply just want to make some new longterm friends, maybe find a new hangout, new vape shop, hookah bar, possibly just wanting to have a cup of coffee with that old friend that only contacts you once a year, or chose the wrong person from your friends list only to suddenly remember why you stopped talking to them, or trying to meet someone new to bring you back into that summer love feeling, struggling to find a place that makes you feel welcomed or give you that "wow, I could do this all night" feeling??? ....Two words ...one blessing ....AMSTERDAM VAPE!!!
