There wasn't any microwave and when I heated my dinner, I found there were no bowls to put it in. Lucky for me I had a storage contain bowl with me. The room had a queen size bed that was firm and comfortable. The pillows were comfortable too. The kitchen had refrigerator, stove, and most stuff need for cooking. Air conditioning and heating. The water in the unit took a long time to heat up. Housekeeping did a nice job of tiding my room, even washed my dishes. This place was very quiet, even thought it sets next to a road. It had the county feel. I saw a good size pool, but didn't get the opportunity to use it, due to it still being covered. It was in the 70's and would have felt nice. This was a nice place and I would stay here again if I return to the area. Rates were pretty reasonable too.

The Chez Scotty C residence includes indoor and outdoor cigar smoking facilities. Imagine yourself on the upper deck smoking facility with an overview of a splendid wooded area. The Residence also offers laundry facilities as well. In addition, they have a wide variety of videos for entertainment. Anyone who's lived through the 80 and 90's will quickly find something they like. If you happen to forget any essential sundries, have no fear - Chez Scotty C provides extra soap, shampoo, or toothbrushes as needed. Just when you think that is the best they have to offer, we haven't even talked about the food yet. A full range of breakfast offerings to include French toast and for the health-conscious among you oatmeal is available. Snacks include a variety of chips and dinner is always scintillating. We started at one of the oldest buildings in Saratoga springs a lovely and were so many beautiful details were pointed out. We enjoyed yummy bruschetta before going to the farmers market. The farmers market meets down below the end every Saturday. I'm not sure when it starts but it ends sharply at 1 PM. The farmers market was the favorite part of our day. We sampled food from many different local vendors that were so incredible. The best Greek yogurt I've ever had, wonderful wine, cookies from Scabdanavia and local produce. We even sampled water from the springs. Next we went on to a local brewery and enjoy pizza and a beer. After that we went to a farm to table comfort food restaurant. Next was a local market where we tasted yummy cheese. Lastly we stopped at a honey and tea place where we sampled honey's and a little tiny dessert with cheese and apple. Our camp is only about two miles from Revolution Rail, and for years we've been saying, "We really…read moreneed to try that someday!" Well, we finally did this past weekend, and the only regret we have is waiting so long! What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ride is about 7 miles round trip--3 1/2 miles out and 3 1/2 miles back. It's not overly difficult, but let's just say your quads will definitely remind you the next day that they got a little workout! The staff was wonderful--friendly, easygoing, and full of interesting information about the area and the tour. Our guide, Bryan, did a terrific job sharing the history of the trail and the surrounding area, which made the ride even more enjoyable. About halfway through, there's a relaxing stop with picnic tables where you can enjoy a snack or drink that you bring along in the handy storage bag attached to each rail bike. It was the perfect chance to sit back, take in the scenery, and recharge before heading back. And then there's the railroad trestle! The views of the Hudson are absolutely beautiful and definitely a highlight of the trip. Just be warned--you can't stop in the middle to take pic of the scenery so your rail bike partners are still pedaling and you snap quickly but hold on to your camera!! The ride back seemed to go by even faster, probably because we were having so much fun, plus more downhill which is always easier. This was a memorable experience filled with fresh air, beautiful scenery, great people, and plenty of laughs. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique Adirondack adventure!
