Called him back a week later to indicate that I had selected them; he said he had second thoughts on the initial pricing he provided, and that he he could only do it for X amount (including tax and tip). I agreed, despite their reneging on the initial pricing, which I thought was unprofessional. I asked the owner to email me confirmation after we got off the phone that the booking was completed, and that I would mail him the deposit check that same week. Two weeks later - still no email. I decide to just mail the check in, having assumed that he forgot to send the confirmation email, and that I would catch up with him later. The check is mailed, and several weeks go by - no indication that the check was cashed, and not even a courtesy call to say "you're booking is all set, and I have the deposit." I called him back and asked if he received the check - he begrudgingly says he will check and get back to me by the following day. Following day comes and goes, as does a full week - no response. The following week, I call him again to ask whether he received the check and whether the booking is confirmed - I'm told *again* in a snooty tone that he will verify and get back to me. At this point, it's been over a month since the check was postmarked, and over six weeks since we had first talked. I cancelled the check and wrote him an email canceling our "arrangement." I have to ask myself... if it's this difficult to get these guys to cash my deposit check, and they have to be treated like babies just to get a response - I cannot imagine what the actual service would look like in terms of timeliness and professionalism.

My first trip from Albany to JFK a year ago was great. But…read morelast night from JFK to Albany was not that good. I was supposed to be picked up around 6 pm but driver called and said she was ready to pick up around 4. It was good except I had no time to get water or food, and barely managed to change my SIM card to talk to the driver. (Why don't they use WhatsApp which would make it easier for travelers coming from other countries?) It was very hard to find the car. Driver just said "a very big black car" at the passenger pick up. Well, there are ziklinins big black cars at JFK, and very many pick up spots. After several calls (in a very loud and busy outside environment), she finally said lane D. It's a long lane. After I ran back and forth with 2 suitcases (I am 66 and have limited vision in the dark), she said D3. Even that place had several pick up spots. Finally we left JFK close to 6 pm. There were 5 passengers, one of whom spoke very loudly throughout the ride, discussed political issues with the young student from Serbia, shared her opinions etc. I was very uncomfortable. And loud. I did my best to keep my mouth shut, as did the other two women in the van. There was no water, snacks or scheduled toilet breaks. No announcements of seat belts, bathroom breaks etc. There was a small accident (not our driver's fault and no injuries) which caused another delay, and a subsequent loooong and looooud discussion by that same very talkative woman and the young man. By then I was getting a bad headache (hunger, dehydration, jet lag, and all this noise including the driver playing the radio. She never asked if it bothered anybody. After Kingston I moved to the back of the van hoping to get away from the loud passenger and the radio but music was even louder in the back! Also the ride was very loud and bumpy there as well. When we finally stopped at the Albany airport I had another anxious moment because I did not see my backpack with all the luggage. Turned out that the you gman from Serbia grabbed it and placed it on the sidewalk. He meant well, tried to help, but imo, it was the driver:s responsibility to safeguard all the luggage. I will use this service again since there are very few choices to get to JFK, and I do travel a lot, but I wish the company takes notice of these issues and improves drivers' training.

Do not use this company. We called for a taxi to bring us to the Saratoga Race Track from our…read morehotel. The taxi arrived, picked us up and went in a direction away from our destination. We asked the driver where he was bringing us and that is when he pulled into a parking lot to pick up another fare. This is a complete violation of the taxi code for Saratoga Springs. We called the company and told them that they were wrong to do that and the dispatcher became very rude, cursing at me. He did not like the fact that he was confronted. To have someone else get into a taxi with you, that you do not know could be VERY dangerous. This company is operating in in violation of city ordinances, and this incident will be reported.
