He was very knowledgeable of the fleet and helpful choosing the right vehicles. He was reliable with communication as things transpired throughout the day. We needed a party bus for the bachelorette party and John the driver was such fun -so friendly and professional. We are not from the area so he was a big help with locations too! We also needed day of transportation: for our guests we had a shuttle between the hotels and reception and Andrew was polite and friendly. He was also flexible with a time change! We booked a trolley for the wedding party between the ceremony and reception...off to pics and back again. I had reserved a party bus for my wedding in Ames on July 9th. I called them the night before to…read moreconfirm the bus. They never showed. When I sent them an email - Steve Casteel talked down to me and said that I gave them the wrong address and never told them the location of the church. Wrong address - The address I gave was what I found on the church website but google maps directed them out of the way. Google obviously failed them here because if they looked around they would notice that they weren't anywhere near the number address of the church (2622 vs 5910 lincoln way). I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if I were the driver in this situation, knowing that I was looking for a church and directed to this area I would have called someone to get to the bottom of this. I never got a call from them. Finally in the same email Steve said that no where in the contract or emails did I mention the name of the church. Well, how is it my fault that the contract doesn't have a line for "what's the name of the place we're picking you up from?" Thank goodness I talked them into not charging me but I would never recommend them to anyone. I know for a fact a friend of my brother also had a terrible experience with them when organizing a bar crawl and wanted to use their services. That's why I called the night before to ensure that they were coming. They fail.

Our routes were changed to accommodate her getting to dance, which causes our kids (one being autistic) to be dropped off farther from our house and forces them to have to cross a busy street. The driver is rude and only cares about her friends. My autistic child was also slapped on the bus and the driver refuses to talk to his mother because "that's her friend." I disapprove. What a mess. I call and ask to speak with the general manager and leave her messages and our bus driver calls me back. Totally defeating the purpose.

That night our scheduled departure time from restaurant to hotel was 8pm. At 7:45 the driver entered the restaurant and announced that he was leaving in 5 minutes. After paying the bill and rounding up my colleagues we were outside by 8:00, but he had already left! So in addition to the $2,500 we paid this company to transport us, we then had order multiple ride share services to get us to the hotel. I strongly advise against hiring this company if you need reliable transportation.

I am SO grateful to DART. I needed some assistance a little bit ago, and Stephanie helped me, with…read moreno issues. She walked me, step by step, thru my confusion, easy as can be. I have a TBI, so being able to get to and from work, the gym, social engagements, it is a HUGE blessing. My only complaint is that they, very sadly, did away with the bus 50. I work and live on that route, so them taking it has affected me, and SO many others. We have quite a bit of mothers with children, elderly, handicapped, and houseless individuals, that used it to get to, not only MY job, but to the mall, to JOPPA, The DMV, homeless advocacy resources, the food pantry, DHS office, WIC, the list is endless, and it was a VERY needed and VERY used line,so I truly hope they bring it back. But in the meantime, we are all making it work, as best as we can. The depot is clean, they really monitor it. The drivers make me feel safe and secure, and the front desk staff are ALWAYS helpful. Again, after well over 2 years, I finally asked if someone could assist me, to teach me how to use the app the way it was intended, and Stephanie came to the rescue. She explained to me what I need to do, the best way to utilize it, and how I can go about getting my pass in order next month. Thank you DART, Stephanie, and all the rest of your staff.
