I hired her for a Gala- she was not only ridiculously late, she was beyond unprepared. TERRIBLE!

Amy Ashton was excellent as Live Auctioneer for our school fundraiser. We saw her perform Comedy and do the Live Auction at another event. She was lively, very funny and seemed to really know how to get the money out of people and keep it very fun, so we thought perfect for our mixed crowed. Boy were we correct! She offered her services at a special rate and we agreed to give her a bonus if she met our goal and she tripled it!!! She was able to get us the most money we ever made. She's also personable, experienced, and extremely helpful in the details proceeding. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give you zero stars I would. We were desperate for an auctioneer. This was our first gala and were on the fence about getting an auctioneer or just doing it ourselves. This caused us to wait until the last minute so we looked up Auctioneers online and most everyone was booked. She called us back and she was not booked she asked me to send her emails about the event which we did and when we had a meeting she would read the email Word for Word on the call. When I told her about what it is that we needed to do or services that we wanted she made it all about herself. It's clear to me that she just wants to have a comedy show and we needed an auctioneer. She would not listen to anything and instead would get very defensive for no reason. She cost $2500 and is worth at most $400, the feedback at our gala was all the same, that the event was amazing but your Auctioneer was awful. She did little to no research on the auction items. She sounded very needy and whiny when going over the items almost shrieking like, think nails on a chalkboard. The fund a need instead of doing her research on the different levels of giving and picking and choosing as we discussed She ran through them all probably because she never even read the email till the morning of is my guess. I had to cut her off several times she did not get the clue. She is not funny at all. the funniest thing about her is after she finished she actually thought she did a great job. This woman is either delusional or is a scam artist disguised as an auctioneer/comedian. After the event, you can see her post photos of herself promoting how great she was and how successful she made it. DO NOT BOOK HER AND AMY IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE FIND A NEW CAREER AND STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF NONPROFITS. read more

Our company hired this amazing comic, Amy Ashton! She was so gracious, talkative and so hilarious!!!!! I highly recommend her, she made us laugh all night, endlessly with very creative, had super funny and cute repertoire, line after line! We were almost crying from laughing, not made up or dumb, but very spontaneous! She talks to you as if you are an every day friend. Even the guest I brought was laughing so much and clapping, and he is a tough customer, lol. Amy is a natural, loving and friendly ! You have nothing to worry about, Amy is a professional and knows how to treat people right. We hired her for our Main Corporate Holiday event, last December and left us wanting more! We hired Amy for our school's annual fundraiser (not the same as the previous review). What a disaster! She was unorganized, unprepared, and unprofessional! Our school brought in $50,000 less then the year before because of how terrible she is. We found her on Gig Masters and Gigsalad. Her reviews on both were excellent, and at this point I am guessing fake. I wish we would have seen the Yelp review before we hired her. Needless to say she is horrific, and only book her if you do not care about your event. She could not control the tone or pitch of her voice, the screeching was so terrible that many of our bidders walked out during the auction. Beware!!! read more

In love with Amy Ashton!!!! I've had the pleasure to work with her twice, she performed a Wine Club Member event and just recently performed Comedy Show for over an hour! She was so funny and a sweetheart to work with! After the show, I had numerous people approach me and ask if I was bringing her back! My answer was, "Of course!". We had Amy Ashton perform today for a luncheon of the combined senior adult groups of Congregation Emanu El in Redlands and Temple Beth El in Riverside. The 80 people in attendance were delighted with her performance. She is very funny, very personable, and out on a fabulous program. I am so glad that I found out about Amy snd was able to book her. Our non-profit hired Amy Ashton to be the auctioneer for our annual gala's live auction and raise the paddle. From the moment she was hired through the night of the event, she made herself totally available to us via phone or e-mail -- several times, she would take the initiative to contact us for updates on the details of the auction items and she would even let us know when she would be out of town/unavailable to reach for a couple of days. She is very detail-oriented -- inquired about our organization as well as our expected revenue goals and stated that she would bring in as much as possible -- and she delivered! Our revenue numbers were much better this year than in past years, and we believe it had to do with Amy's talent. She is an excellent auctioneer! Definitely not a diva! Funny, friendly, and personable as well. We thoroughly enjoyed having her as part of our team for the big event. read more

Awful. Our Foundation's experience with this auctioneer/talent was beyond disappointing. We found her through GigMasters. She sent us an invoice, encouraging us to pay her outside the Gigmaster's purview (and we didn't know in advance, their full refund policy). We paid her in full before our event at the Hyatt, Jan 2017, but as the night went on, I suspected she was not going to show. Amy arrived an hour late looking very disheveled. Our event was in progress and she called the organizer during our live presentation asking for directions. When she arrived she was up front talking and changing clothes while our Chairman was speaking! It was so distracting. Many at our event noted she did not look "well or together". They thought her slurred speech, bag of clothes, gestures and appearance was part of a skit. Amy, whether intentionally or unintentionally, insulted some of our major donors and it was clear, this was no joke. We talked and emailed many times leading up to the event about her process, but she didn't try to understand our mission or audience. We had to feed her all the information on the auction items, every word including interesting facts, etc. She added nothing to the descriptions, no research, no comedy and decreased the value of our items at least $40k. She just read the descriptions and screamed,"come on people, its a trip to XX, you are XXs, you're pathetic. We were standing by the stage mortified, the look on the Board's face said 911. Finally, our Director got up on stage and asked Amy to step down and tried to salvage what was left of the auction. When asked, Amy would not refund any of her fee. Buyer beware. read more
