I still have unpacking to do, but writing this review is so important for me because this couldn't be made possible without Amy's help. Period. I was a first time home buyer and this is not my home country. With my language barrier, and without any family members in the US, there were a number of confusing matters for me as I went through the home-buying process. Amy helped me with literally everything - no, she actually went beyond by anticipating what might help me and by providing me with helpful recourses. My mortgage agent was a difficult person to work with, but she stepped in and helped me with solving all the issues. She is not just a capable and professional lady, but a very kind person. For her I was probably not an easy case to assist with, but she was always so gracious, funny, and kind. She is genuine and someone you want to be friends with. I cannot recommend her enough - this is the first time I ever write any kind of reviews online. This probably says a lot about how great she is as a realtor and as a human being. In fact, she was recommended by two of my friends who are type-A college professors. The fact that they both are 100% happy with her and recommended her to me is also another strong testament! We don't think that we could recommend Amy Brown highly enough. We originally looked into selling our house three years ago. Due to market conditions, we weren't able to make the sale at the time and decided to the rent the house instead. However, we held on to Amy's name because we were so impressed with her, and when it finally came time to sell she was our first call. Amy was an amazing Realtor. She was proactive in her communication with us and her follow up with potential buyers. Her expertise ranged from recommending vendors to make needed repairs, to carefully safeguarding our interests (while not antagonizing the buyer) during negotiation and closing. Amy is FABAMUNDO...would not have wanted to go through this process with anyone else! She is a professional mediator (which makes her very good at negotiating -- seriously)! But even more importantly, she has your back 7 x 24 through the whole process -- whether I sent her an e-mail in the morning, night, weekend, whenever -- I always got a quick response. She truly was my life line. I moved here from PA several years ago and was renting, so I knew nothing about contractors or who to contact for what. Amy literally gave me a list of every contractor I needed (all of which come highly recommended due to her experience and interactions with them)...she knows who to go to for the best deals, and who delivers without the run around! I had given my landlord notice as we were under contract with a house and had settlement date scheduled. Unfortunately, that seller was unwilling to make the required repairs (not even one of them), so we terminated the contract. Amy knew I had given notice to my landlord, and the next morning, first thing, she had sent me an e-mail with 39 houses to check out -- and this was first thing on a Sunday morning. Amy is an amazing realtor! Her quick response to questions and local insight to the real estate market allowed us to find our ideal move up home in Catonsville. She worked with us beginning while we were still living in California and planned our move to Maryland. She showed houses to my parents before we relocated. It's hard to even put into words how awesome Amy is at what she does. Not only is she extremely honest and forthcoming when you are working with her, she is fun to deal with it and makes you feel very comfortable with the entire home buying process. My husband and I may have set the record for widest search area and longest length of time to purchase a home. She is extremely honest and gets to know your personality and looks for homes that match your personality and family needs. I have used Amy for the home I live in now and also for my daughter's home. Amy is terrific. My husband and I were able to sell our town home is 10 days from listing. She gave us great tips and suggestions on staging and their professional photographer took great pictures for all the websites. We first bought a house and then sold the house we were previously living in and Amy was our realtor at both the buying and the selling. It was amazing to see the efficiency she displayed in her field that could have only come through long years of experience. Each step was well thought out, executed flawlessly and with quiet proficiency. She would reply to our numerous questions very quickly and we depended on her wise advise although she was very careful to let us make our own decisions.
