Apparently he's there every other Saturday until November - then it will be every Saturday. May want to call ahead and ask if you're driving from long distances. Don't be alarmed by the densely populated table of wood - each ring, pair of earrings, or necklace is 100% unique and comes from recycled/rescued urban trees. So each piece also has a story (like the tree that fell on his house) and a location. Michigan, represent. The rings go for $25 and are worth every penny. They are sturdy and gorgeously 'rustic' while still being artful and elegant. He makes them in a variety of sizes. The larger necklace pieces run $60 a pop (please don't buy the one I'm lusting after! I'm just waiting for my next paycheck...). He tells me he can also do custom orders of plugs (for the ol' earlobe stretchers out there) but he doesn't have any in stock (since everyone wants different sizes in a different look). His site has stunning photographs of his collections and gives you an idea of his range of work. And the mood it can set. He also does furniture, culinary tools, and leatherwork, oh my. If you want some amazing, one-of-a-kind natural bling, get thee here.

I will not go back here. I took my watch in for repair and it went very poorly. This was a 25yr old…read moreSwiss watch my mom gave me. There were two "pips" that had come detached and needed reattaching and the watch had stopped working. They told me it needed an overhaul. I started calling to check the status after 2-3 weeks. They didn't know the status and were very bad about following up with me with answers. Eventually they said it would be another week and someone would call me. No call. I called, they still didn't know and had to check and I had to follow up and they needed another week. This went on and on. No apologies, no improved follow up. They were nice, but didn't seem to understand why this would be a bad experience for me. If they'd said it would take 2 months when I left it, it would be one thing, but that it just kept dragging on without any accurate expectation setting felt really bad. And I just got the feeling they had no idea what was happening with my watch, that it was being neglected, and no one really cared to do anything about it. When I eventually went to pick it up, they gave it to me like all was done. I immediately noticed the two "pips" were totally gone, not repaired. Turns out they threw them out and werent going to say anything. After I asked, they said they were "unrepairable" so were thrown out. I think it was likely an excuse for a mistake on their end. They did not apologize, did not offer a discount on the repair, nothing. The watch seems to be working okay now, so I'm glad for that, but this was not a nice experience and I'm pretty sad about my lost pieces. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I didn't see anything that would've warned me about this when I first looked to see if I should go there for a watch repair, so hopefully this helps steer some people. Or perhaps the store will improve based on some public feedback about how they navigate this type of work.

Botched Watch Repair & Terrible Customer Service: TL/DR find…read morea different store if you are looking to have your watch repaired. In April I dropped my watch off here for repairs; the watch was running slow and the crown needed replacing. I was told that it would be ready in 3-4 weeks, which would allow me to retrieve my watch before I move out-of-state in June. However, the repair took longer than expected due to parts sourcing. While this was an understandable delay, I was not informed of any delays or repair updates; I had to continuously text and call the store asking for an ETA for the watch to be repaired. When I finally received the watch in July (two months after I had been told it would be ready), the watch was in a worse state than when I had dropped it off: the chronometer is offset by 2-3 seconds, the lower hand has fallen off of the face, and the self-winding mechanism is making scratching noises inside that watch that were not previously present. As I now live in Tennessee I contacted the store to ask for a refund: they refused without seeing the product (which I am unable to hand deliver and do not feel comfortable mailing them due to their poor customer service and botched previous repair) and told me "you have a warranty for this". For context, I've had this watch repaired multiple times over the years due to damage received while deployed or on exercise with the Marines; this is hands down the worst experience I've had with a repair shop.

Owner suggested that if you buy a car on sale, as I bought the ring on sale, the warranty doesn't transfer. I was confused, does he associate his store with a used car lot? Went to three local jewelers to see if they would buy the ring. Two refused and said it was poor quality. Third bought it for a loss from what I originally paid.

They're going through some structuring of their Center displays. The owner, Brendan. He's had the shop here for 38 years. That's quite a long standing. I got five antique rings resized. $120 to resize each. Brendan said he should be able to finish them within a week, even though they're quite busy. He said that they will call me when it's done, but I can also check in if they don't call me in a week. The 5 rings fit perfectly now and look great. $600 to resize five rings, at a cost of $120 per ring for the resizing. He said two rings cracked during the laser process he used to resize them, was able to fix and solder them up to look perfect. Happy with his work.

I found Elements on yelp and checked out their website where I saw a video of the process they go through to make jewelry so I dropped in. Brendan was very kind and informative and made a process I knew nothing about really easy to understand. I gave him an idea of what we wanted and dropped off the raw materials I had on me to get my now fiancee's engagement ring and even my own wedding band. Since it was a unique gift I asked if I could come in to document the process to which he agreed. He first sent over mock-ups of the designs and answered any questions I had then had me come in when he was ready to melt down my "grandma-gold". That experience was pretty cool and huge thanks to Brendan for accommodating me. A week later it was ready for pick up and was perfect. It's been a while but thank you again Brendan and hope you and your loved ones were safe since I saw you last.
