Magpie & Tiger - An intimate and well-light shop.

    Magpie & Tiger

Stopping into Magpie & Tiger is a calming, peaceful, and delightful experience. This is a shop…read morededicated to the art of slow living at its finest. Elena, the soulful and wise owner, has carefully curated an eclectic and unique selection of all the accoutrements for letter writing, small beautiful objects, journals, bespoke teas and cocktails, art, and more. In fact, her shop is an homage to the art of connection, and there's even a desk where one is invited to sit down and write. After selecting a card from her collection, I did just that. And when I was finished, she offered to stamp and mail it for me. Her newsletter is a thing of beauty, so be sure to get on her mailing list in addition to earning reward dollars to spend. Which you'll be sure to do, because no where else in Central Vermont is there a shop as sweet (well, Delish which is right next door, but that's because it's a candy and confectionery shop). Going back means discovering new delights, and creating more opportunities to connect with all the intimate and finer things (and experiences) in life. Elena also hosts monthly gatherings at the store, where people can gather and write letters and cards. She provides hot teas and all the necessary tools. I haven't gone to one yet, but plan to, especially when the Vermont evenings start to get darker, colder, and more isolating. Magpie & Tiger is just the antidote and invitation many of us are seeking in our increasingly impersonal and digitized existence. Pop in, slow down, take a look and experience a different and beautiful way of doing business.

It appeared they stopped as soon as we left then charged us as if they had completed the job. I know, right, we shouldn't have left but this company had a good reputation and I trusted them to complete the job they were hired to do. In the chaos of moving, I had left my wallet there and when I returned to get it, $200 was missing from it. I have tried to work this out with the local franchise but they do not call back. We gave them a $300 tip for gods sake. I will be calling the local police department in an effort to report the stolen money and let them know exactly who stole it. I will take a video of the house shortly and it will be posted on YouTube. I need to make sure other people don't have this experience. 0 out of 10...DONT RECOMMEND. BURLINGTON VERMONT FRANCHAISE.
