Amy's Barber Shop I recently visited Amy's Barber Shop in Moreno Valley. Atmophere: 3 Stars. From the moment I walked in the place is clean, well-lit. They have a nice waiting area with comfortable seating and even some magazines to browse through while you wait. Service: 5 Stars. Amy is a true professional. She listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure she understood before she started. I went for a classic fade, and she nailed it! Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she took her time to ensure everything was just right. I was especially impressed with how she handled the blending -- no harsh lines, just a smooth, clean cut. Value: 3 Stars. The prices are reasonable, for the times we live in, especially considering the quality of service you received. Quality: 5 Stars. Overall, if you're looking for a skilled barber, Amy's Barber Shop is the place to go. I'm definitely going to be a regular here! These barbers don't mess around, folks! I called to make an appointment for the first time and they were slammed for the day. Luckily, they were able to fit me in that afternoon. Just have to make sure you actually arrive on time, because they book on the spot while cutting at the same time. I had the pleasure of working with Tony. At first this place was ok. It's ran by a couple. Then I started to notice things like, the barber Amy doesn't really clean or sanitize her equipment, important given the volume of people she services. (I started to noticed bumps on the back of my head). They get made if you are couple minutes late when you make an appointment. They both cut hair but they have a 3rd chair person cutting hair that's always a revolving door. That tell you a lot about this place. If you want a hair cut without the BS this isn't it! Tony and Amy, the owners, never listen to what their clients tell them, they cut your hair how they wanna cut your hair. Being familiar with this barbershop over the years, I could see that the pandemic has led to precautions and changes being set up. As such, Amy's allows us to set up appointments now! Even though walk-ins are still welcome, it is always best to call in and set up an appointment, to avoid having a long wait time, like in the past. Along with that, Anthony (Amy's husband) helps maintain the cleanliness of the shop, handles the phone calls for appointments, and provides hand sanitizer with temperature checks at the door walking in. Went in on Friday 9/1 to see only 2 women cutting hair. The wait was ridiculous and you don't even know when you're next because people wait outside and leave the shop. The interior is ugly nothing nice or special about this place. It's a hard pass in my opinion. read more

Sooooo glad I found this place. Prices for a haircut are thee best you're going to find anywhere, hands down. To top it off, Amy and the women who cut your hair are incredibly nice and knowledgeable and make sure you're happy with your cut. They ask how your days going and interact with the customers and know a lot of people by name and I love that relationship they have with the community. I'm usually in town from the Palm Springs area at least once a month and wait until I am to get my haircuts. I like this little place that much. There are 4 people that work here, but there's a reason why people wait for Amy. She does a great job with what I want with my hair, and other people none the less. Went in for the last time Saturday before last. I've gone to Amy's a total of 6 times. 3 cuts (1 for 3 with Amy) with 3 forfeits due to long wait times for her. It is just impossible to get her unless you camp outside for the night. This last time and final time I came in and what looked to be short wait, as I entered the shop she says " I have 4 inside and 3 waiting in their cars outside for me, little bit of a wait" LOL ...No thanks. I walked out and will not return. No one barber is worth that much trouble. I went to another shop, which I wont name as I want to keep the wait times there from getting long, and was given just as good if not better cut. So long Amy! The service was NOT satisfactory. Only reason why it is a two star is because its next to Dairy Queen. I bet $20 that Dairy Queen could give better haircuts. The man before me PROBABLY HAD LICE. Yet she decided to not sanitize the clippers and now I have lice. My friends constantly remind me of this DREADED uneventful event. They mock my haircut and compare it to a lawn being cut with scissors. Thanks, Asian ladies should stay in the kitchen. My aunt is LITERALLY blind and i would prefer a haircut from her. Never have any complaints, and the best part is that Amy uses a vacuum cleaner to get any loose hair off your head after! (Memories of childhood haircuts in the kitchen). Great place to get a good haircut. I've never gotten a haircut from Amy, however both Lupe and Irma give me really great haircuts. Irma takes her time and cuts my hair exactly how I want it. I recently moved to Mo Val and was looking for a decent hair cut place. I have had the whole gambit of cuts from old school barbers that shave to professional stylists that will give drinks while you get a hair cut. I briefly reviewed on Yelp the haircut options. I was hoping to find a decently priced professional stylist but was not confident with the options available. So I decided to go with a value cut. I went in keeping with minimal expectations hoping to get a decent clean up. I got just that and even more. When I walked in two barbers were working both females one was an Asian lady who I assume is Amy and another lady who I got. She did an excellent job was not rushed in her work and definitely took her time blending my hair even though there was a wait for about three people. Amy was finishing up with her customer as I was sitting there and also was taking her time and had finished a very solid zero fade on the customer. For a value cut ($10) with no bells and whistles this is a solid option. read more
