It's been a while... I shave my own head but have a pretty good size beard. I have only had it trimmed once at Mike's Barber shop and that was horrible. I left very upset. This experience was much better. I was a bit nervous as can be imagined but it went well. The owner Josh worked on my beard and did what I asked. I will definitely check it out again but if i get someone different I will again be nervous and will adjust my rating accordingly to my new experience. read more

I thought the place was good at first because of the reviews, but when I went in the music was really loud and I was already having a bad day. I waited to write this review sometime before actually posting something because I didn't want my bad day to bias my opinion. All in all, the haircut was okay. The guy took way to much hair off the sides, but he didn't cut the hair off the top as requested. The owner is cool and gave me a good haircut the first time I went there. I just came back for my second cut and it went like this. I decided to get steps on one side, they were good enough that I came back two days later to get the same thing on the other side. This is what happened: http://i.imgur.com/9qkm7.png (one side is angled, the other side is straight across/wider and has a gap) I paid $15 plus tipped $5 for the cut and steps on one side and was charged $6.50 on my second visit for the messed up crooked steps side... I brought it up after the cut and the guy got defensive and said, "They'll always be crooked if you get them separately, next time get them on the same day and that won't happen." Doesn't seem right, considering he was the one who did them the first time and he had an example....on the other side of my head to go by. I've never cut my own hair and I've never attempted to give myself steps, but I guarantee I could have done better in the dark, drunk with one arm. I always get my haircut here. You can do reservations here with a barber of your choice, but I have found that each barber here does a really good job. I usually get a skin tight fade, and for 25-30 bucks it's a fantastic haircut. Everybody here knows exactly what they are doing and they are sure to please. For anybody who is wanting to have an extended and therapeutic experience, the knife shave + haircut is an awesome time. It gives me nostalgia for a time I never knew. Hot shaving cream, sharp razors, and hot towel treatment feels awesome. Very cool ambience, the waiting room is comfortable and they play good music (generally classic rap) and they have plenty of magazine. If you are 21, they will offer you a complimentary Pabst while you wait! Overall, an excellent place to go for a haircut. The wait can be long at times, but it's worth it because they really take their time when cutting your hair in order to make sure it comes out exactly how you want it. 10/10 barbershop, definitely give it a shot. Sorry to say this is one of the worst haircuts in town. I popped in there the other day thinking that I would try it out. It looks cool from the outside and when you enter the place is quite the hipster hangout. But sadly my haircut turned out quite terrible. The barber, Jason, was a cool guy and was agreeable in terms of discussing what he would do. But when it came down to form, sorry bro pretty bad. There are a significant number of uneven buzzer cuts around my ears, the top was lazily scissor cut with a dull pair of scissors, and the fades are different heights on either side. I knew something was not right when the guy wet the top of my head and then cut the hair with a comb and scissors and never once touched my hair with his hands. How are you supposed to get it even if you don't have control of the hair? When he was done, 25 dollars late, I went out to the car and realized the side wasn't blended well. I went back in and asked if he could fix it. He was nice and said he wanted me to be happy but that he didn't really see what I was talking about. And that sums it up. Sorry to say but dont go here. I ususally go to A&J on 7th but they were closed and I needed a haircut in a pinch. Big mistake. Oh well, it is hair and it grows back, but I am certain I will never go back to Analog. read more

Best Barbershop in town! Change my mind ... Steve is my ninja sheer barber and he gets down, so many years of experience and it shows. Don the main dude also cuts a mean cut but he's not cutting anymore. The music could be a little lower and more hip hop/rock, 90s and 80s but I don't go there for the music. Ive been coming there for 6 years and my last barber in San Diego was able to send my haircut records to Analog... and if you're a walk in, are over 21 and have an ID you might just get a free brew, or two! Many of the barbers around town have come out of this place with much knowledge. One thing don't hop around on your barber, be loyal... I trust Steve so much when he hands me the mirror to check my hair I always wave him off! If you cant trust your barber, you can't trust nobody. Hope this helps you visit ANALOG! Awesome place. I actually get the cut I want and love. I mostly just say do your thing and it always ends up killer. Ice cold pbr. For those over 21 and waiting. The face shaves are worth every penny and are relaxing. Super smooth shave. Atmosphere is laid back. Don the owner is super nice. A kid was there while I was getting cut and whenever a song came on that had swearing in it he would stop cutting walk over and change it. Which I thought was cool as I have a kid. Don't go here. The barber Kellen is frustrating and impatient as shit. I explained to him what I wanted with simple hair terminology but some minor adjustments, and those simple instructions confused him and he told me he's just gonna do what he usually does. It took some arguing and at the start to get him to give me what I wanted and I walked away with an okay haircut and kind of what I wanted. It's a gamble to come here, if you want a specific haircut expect a debate between you and the barber. There's a couple good staff members but there's more bad ones like kellen then there are good. Super attentive to detail and it had been a couple months since I'd gotten a cut so he had his work cut out for him. I've been coming to Analog since I first touched down in Eugene, and have seen a couple different barbers as they pass through. Never have I had a complaint about a haircut. I've been seeing Mario every two weeks for the past few months and the guy is awesome. I've never had to wait a minute past the time of my appointment, and he finds a way to fit me in his schedule whenever I'm due for a cut. He's advised me on a couple of different hairstyles, and each one turns out even better than anticipated. I'd recommend Analog to anyone, but more specifically I would recommend Mario for your barbering needs. read more

So.... I am one hairy dude that never shaved his face. I get a haircut every couple months.....My co-workers attempt to strike a deal. The deal was that I would shave my big ole beard if we raise 2000 razors for the Eugene Mission. Well... I accepted!!! This community has some BEARD hate! They raised almost 4500 razors to help our guests at the shelter. So, where do I go??? Thank goodness I am a Yelper! This place looked like the go to spot, and boy I am glad I chose This shop. We were pleasantly greeted with genuine friendly banter. I could tell I was in the right hands. I got my third tattoo from Jordan who works upstairs in the shop, and I just dropped in on a Thursday afternoon and I just wanted something small on my ribs and he did a perfect job and made it a great experience! I was so afraid of the rib area, but it didn't hurt half as bad as I thought. The $50 tattoo minimum is a good deal too, I paid a total of $60 including tip and I spent less than 45 minutes in the shop and he executed my tattoo perfectly. read more

After waiting for over an hour and seeing three people walk in sit down for 5 minutes and get served.
