Emily and I both agreed that going out for a drink sounded good and I asked if she wanted to check out Bust'd and she said yup. We rolled up on a Friday night around 6pm and the place wasn't too busy. There was a couple couples in there so we grabbed a beer and took a seat and started playing some games. A coworker told me about Shut the Box and funny enough, it was on the table and we played quite a few rounds as we worked on our first beer. Emily's first beer was the That One Coach and my first one was the Cattails. I usually really enjoy hefeweizens but this one felt a bit flat. It lacked the banana and vanilla punch I am used to them having. It was good, don't get me wrong but didn't hit quite like hefeweizens usually hit. Emily said she really enjoyed her beer. I tried it but brown ales are not my cup of... beer. Once we switched to playing Anarchy Pancakes, we grabbed another beer. This time Emily got the Trailblazer and I got the Hazy not Hazy. I jokingly said the Hazy should be called Hazy not Crazy and the bartender (who I think might be one of the owners?) laughed and said she liked that. They have a giant Connect Four and a plentiful board game collection to enjoy while you are there. I absolutely love that these social establishments are providing fun stuff to do and providing a place for people to gather and socialize. As we were paying our tab, I picked up a t-shirt and some stickers. The shirt was $25 (I think) and the stickers were $1 each. Emily grabbed a beer opener for $5. In hindsight, I wish I would've gotten a beer opener, too. Not just to support a local business but they were pretty good quality, too.
