I like this shop for salads and sandwiches options. This was what I was in search of on the southwest side and they lived up to the billing! My wife had the half turkey sandwich with pasta. The turkey sandwich was light, cool to taste on a hot day and very fresh. You could really taste the turkey and cucumber flavors! I liked the pasta salad though I thought it had a heavy Mayo and parsley taste - more than I prefer. I had the garden fresh salad and half The Hoosier sandwich. The salad was very good. Lots of accent veggies - all of which were very fresh and delicious. They don't make their own salad dressing which is okay. The Red Royal French was outstanding! The Hoosier sandwich was good as well. The ham was plentiful and sweet. The bacon added a little more salt and smoke flavor. The cucumber pieces were a unique touch - I would have preferred pickle instead. The restaurant is clean and well organized considering there is another shop with them. The indoor seating looked inviting and comfortable. We choose to sit outside. They have several covered and uncovered options which were all relaxing. Love this spot! Taste: The food NEVER disappoints. My go to is the combo pick - 1/2 a club sandwich and a cup of their daily soup. The soups are phenomenal. Homemade, incredibly delicious, and worth it every time. Service: The service is lovely. Family ran business. They do get busy and occasionally there is a wait to order, but that's what happens when the food is so good. Soups run out, so get there early! Ambiance: It's a cute cafe with a mom and pop shop vibe. Always clean. They also have a fun little knickknack shop attached to the restaurant. Overall, highly recommend!! read more

Food was good, cute place. Girls working had great customer service. Went downhill though when I was given my drink with lipstick around the rim of the glass. Then as we were finishing up the owner approached our table and lectured us about having put two tables together without asking. There were 5 of us that couldn't fit around a 4-seater and we thought nothing about moving two tables together in the very back. Apparently that is not allowed at this place. We were honestly taken aback because that is not something you think to ask permission for, but mostly because of how disgusted she acted that we did it. It was so strange! I struggle to wrap my mind around the owner being okay with treating her customers that way - in front of others even. Not okay! None of us will be returning. read more

Everything here is amazing- from the staff ( who had smiles a mile wide and were some of the friendliest people I've met) to the food! I enjoyed the BLT with chips and pickle spear, and it was so good that I indulged in a cup of chicken velvet soup! DELICIOUS!- just like my grandmothers! Fresh baked bread was off the charts! And I still have a lemon berry bar to enjoy when my tummy has room! They have outdoor seating that was shaded this morning and plenty of parking! This is my go to when in the area - the perfect, small place with delicious food. Today I opted for their special - egg salad wrap with chips or fresh fruit and a house beverage. Their egg salad is something you must try! I've also enjoyed their Turkey salad which is unique and scrumptious, plus soups, etc. Service couldn't be better - order at the counter - since I'm always getting carry out - it seems I wait just minutes and my name is called! Everything is freshly made - and I'm telling you, it's great! I often fight the urge to add on a baked good - and I've even bought greeting cards. This is my second visit to Anastasias. It is a nice lunch spot. The menu has a variety which should cater to most. The first time I visited I had the soup and sandwich combo. On this particular visit I had the fruit plate with scoop of chicken salad. It was very good. I would probably say it was more quality over quantity. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The chicken salad was very tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. I dined outdoors, which has 7 tables. Three of them have collapsible umbrellas. If you are Southwest Fort Wayne and looking for a nice lunch spot I would recommend. read more

Adorable little cafe for lunch! You can find this gem tucked into the strip mall near the Mercedes dealership off Jefferson. It's easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled for it! The interior is quaint with wire tables and chairs. The staff is friendly and greets you with a smile. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. They have a variety of options like soups, salads and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT which was served with chips. It came on fresh wheat bread, lightly toasted with crispy bacon. Super cute little cafe and gift shop. I love that it is locally owned and the location is out of way from high traffic. AC has outside eating available with some tables having umbrellas. Nice friendly staff so willing to help you make a selection and offer their opinion of what chip would be best with my sandwich. The BLT is so good and such a classic!! read more

My favorite cafe for a quick, delicious lunch. I've been a repeat customer for over 2 decades. Their bread is amazing and so are their cookies. My go-to is the filet (roast beef) sandwich and soup of the day. I am slightly obsessed with their soups; they are some of my favorites. They are freshly made and always great. I also like the Turkey sandwich and the chicken salad. Highly recommend! I've always had great service too, and I've been there many, many times. They are very polite and serve fairly quickly. They make a lot of food and soup from scratch so if you come late, they might be out of some things. There is also a really cute shop attached. Prices are fair and cheaper than many other lunch spots. read more

What can I say- I'm a sucker for something with my name on it. On my recent/ and first visit to ft Wayne for the Vera Bradley outlet sale we were wanting a bite before we shopped and Yelp did me good in finding ANASTASIA and Cheer Basket. I had the spinach quiche that came with homemade bread and orange slices - Oh my !!! The quiche crust melted in my mouth (in a good way) and the egg was fluffy :) the bread was warm and perfect. #ilovebread and because it was my special day of travel I had to add a piece of the Key Lime Pie that Didn't disappoint. read more

I met some friends here for lunch last Friday. I didn't even know this cafe was here tucked in here. A cute little cafe with shopping too! I ordered the veggie pita, they were happy to take the cheese off for me. Nice soft pita, stuffed full of veggies and they serve the sauce on the side. Perfect! We were comfortable sitting and chatting for as long as we liked! Defiantly recommend for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters, they have their bases covered with something for everyone! read more

This is my favorite cafe in Fort Wayne! I'm never disappointed by the food. I have tried to recreate their food before, but just can't come close. The soups and sandwiches are the best things to get. Not only do they serve food, but they have a great selection of gift items! There's a reason this place has been around for so long! Clean, Quaint and quiet location (we were on a Saturday morning) with a nice little outside seating area. No more stars for Anastasia's. We've been patronizing Anastasia's for over 10 years, our past couple of experiences have been horrible. My mother ordered a meal and was told there wasn't enough of the salad she ordered to complete the meal, before she could answer as to what she wanted instead, the manager/owner says "Well, I'm not going to discount it!" This past weekend, we decided to offer one more chance. We came in at 2:22pm and were immediately told that we could not stay and our beverages would be served in to go cups. Not a big deal, as we'd not intended to stay, but the place doesn't close until 3. The young man behind the counter was distracted and inattentive, when my father told him all of our orders would go on one bill, he still rang us up separately, when I pointed out that the failed to give us one of the Italian sodas we'd ordered he argued about how many we'd purchased until my father pulled all the receipts out of his wallet, and still continued to stand there looking from one receipt to the next for some time before agreeing. The sodas were terrible. There was no flavor at all to them. I attempted to phone the manager today and apparently she answered. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was. I asked her name and she very rudely said "What is YOUR name and where are you from?" I was astounded. Thinking I'd called the wrong number I asked "This is Anastasia's right?" She repeated "Who are you and where are you from?" She was defensive from the moment she answered the phone. The quality has faltered, the customer service is deplorable, and the manager/owner apparently feels that she is too good to talk to customers. We will not return. Without good customer service, the product is nothing. read more

My wife and I eat here about once a week. It is always great with wonderful specials to go along with a great menu. I can honestly say that their soups are some of the very best in town. My sandwich was missing the cheese and two of the vegetables I asked for on it . For a place as expensive as this I expect homemade salad dressing for my salad...no I was given a packet of commercial dressing! To top it off you order at the counter and there is a tip jar there and then the person taking the order asks you how much tip you want to give when you pay your bill. For what? Picked up a carry out lunch yesterday. Ordered Asian Salad and a full size of their gourmet Chicken Waldorf Salad. Total bill was over $16!! Took back to office for myself and co-worker. The Asian Salad had little or no dressing on it. They either forgot the dressing or it is sooooo lite that you can't tell it is even there. The Chicken Waldorf salad had two (2) chunks of chicken in it. Ridiculous! We could have shared a lunch from one of the finest restaurants in Fort Wayne for $16. I will not be back! I tried to call them right away about the dressing an no one answered, not even a machine. read more
