She made me see myself as strong, powerful, resilient! & also soft, beautiful & my children's safest place!!!! I enjoyed being near her. My husband and I just knew she was the one! Take the time to meet her and if she is the one, you may just know it! She spoke very openly to us; very tell-it-how-it-is. She is exactly the strong woman energy I felt I needed near me during birth. I was new to the area and had little resources. She was able to point me in directions I never knew to ask. This is invaluable. She knows the area very well and has the experience as a doula that made me feel comfortable. We were planning a HBAC (home birth after cesarean). My 2 1/2 year old daughter would be there also. It was very important that we found the right person to be support for my husband and daughter also. She was the one. My daughter grew very fond of her leading up to birth. She looked forward to our visits. I could be at ease with my daughter's position during birth with her support. Dawna helped us make our plan possible. Leading up to birth, Dawna was a constant resource. I looked forward to our visits and felt like she was my personal cheerleader. I really needed that! She knew I could do it all along. This was my second birth, and unlike my first one, I felt like everything flowed with all my plans and wishes respected. Everyone there was valuable. Dawna just did exactly what needed to be done while I was in "labor land". She gave me the encouragement I needed and took a load off my husbands shoulders. She brought me drinks with a straw without being asked. She was like an amazing birth angel. Her energy is very calm, strong/confident, go with the flow, and on point! I'm obviously very happy and would hire her again. Right after birth, she made sure I was comfortable and fed. My 2 year old couldn't wait to see her again. We all looked forward to her postpartum visit. There's a reason why she is so experienced and adored by her clients.

Specially as we navigated first time parenthood. We just had our second baby (natural delivery) and we're lucky to have Dawna again as part of our birth team, including her doula services. I can only describe her as the whole package: unique, invaluable, knowledgeable, dedicated, intuitive, resourceful, multifaceted, gifted, flexible, encouraging, fun and all around indispensable. My husband describes her as "heavy artillery" as in "call in the very best!" Though I have the greatest husband and my phenomenal sister was supporting us, all of us agree the experience would have been significantly different without Dawna. She truly has a calling which we were lucky to experience in both types of birth settings.

Palms Birth House made all the difference in the world. We can't say enough how (1) personal and friendly the front office staff was (they know your name when you call and are INCREDIBLY responsive!) (2) how patient and kind Elizabeth, the midwife, was at every visit (she spends as much time with you as you need, there's no rush to get you out the door) and (3) how professional and calm Elizabeth was during our fast-middle of the night-on a holiday-home birth. We wanted to have an experience birthing our son that felt natural and with as little intervention as possible and we had just that. At every step Elizabeth had the perfect answer for any question or concern that I brought to her or stories of friends birthing issues that I was concerned about. She was easily able to express how she would handle those moments if we found ourselves there. Throughout the pregnancy she was relaxed and gave us all the information to make the decisions we needed to make without making us feel stressed or imposed upon. We laughed at every visit and looked forward to seeing them all even though it was a 35 minute drive from our home in Jupiter! From my very first call, when Tiffany answered, she was full of helpful information and that's remained true to this day. Everyone goes above and beyond. It is nothing like an experience you would have at a doctor's office where the wait times are long and they have you in and out quickly. The service is so personalized it's truly amazing. My mom could never get over how long Elizabeth spent with us at each check up. If we have more children it will definitely be with them and I highly recommend it to any mama looking to bring baby into the world in a most loving and tender but also intelligent and safe environment!

I honestly don't think I would had done it without her guidance and support. From the beginning on the prenatal visits she gave me all the tools and information to prepare for birth. She helped me ask the right questions to my OB and made me feel confident on the decisions I was making. It was great to be able to ask any questions and know I had support 24/7. I also had so many questions once the baby arrived and on my postpartum visit Lisi gave me valuable information in regards to breastfeeding and much more. She even discusses postpartum and lactation matters and provides crucial resources in the community that every new AND experienced mother needs. I sincerely wish I would have found her for my first pregnancy (I found her for my second pregnancy). The medical system and your traditional OB provider will never even have the time to explore such topics with you and it's not information that can just be picked up off the internet. I'm so happy that Eyla and her team, it was such a necessary investment that will empower you and leave you feeling supported in every way no matter what kind of birth experience you choose. I really wish we would have been able to take the 8 week course but my husband and I were not able to this time.

I saw there was only one review of my school and unfortunately this review was giving false…read moreinformation insulting not only my school but my professors. I too am doing the RN program during covid currently, almost on my last semester to graduation. Simply put: if you need help at HCI, all you have to do is reach out. There is not a single person there that has ever treated me poorly, and they go above and beyond to see us students exceed including using their off time to meet with us either one on one for tutoring any time we request help, and also to do extra review sessions not during class hours. It insulted me to see that someone blamed their own academic performance on the college. What you put in, you get out. If you need help- ask for it. Just because the easier decision is to blame something besides yourself doesn't mean it's correct. Yes, some professors do have multiple jobs. Those with multiple jobs or children home in online learning as well still make time outside of class to answer us and help us whenever possible. Administration is extremely responsive and always willing to help as long as you come to them and ask. Covid has made things messy for everyone- but HCI is doing their best just like us to make it work as smoothly as possible. It is something unprecedented that no one has experienced therefore no one will be an expert on how to handle it, yet HCI college did their best and in my opinion has done an amazing job at helping all of us. Even during the confusion of clinical hours- instructors and admin were MORE than helpful and understand with issues with hours or not understanding the content requested to complete clinicals. Also as for accreditation- please do look into it because the claim was false. HCI is and has been accredited, and is in the process of being accredited by ACEN additionally. (nursing schools have two forms of accreditation, maybe this is why they were confused?) My opinion from personal experience of HCI- the main people who have a problem with HCI are people who prefer to blame anything but THEMSELVES before they have to take responsibility and put forth the effort to get off their behinds and get it taken care of- which is simply done by asking! Also if you don't like it here, then leave. No one likes bad company.

I will be honest, I recently graduated about 1 month ago. And since day one of the last semester,…read morethe mentality of the administration staff was to make us fail. I was top student number scoring only A+, and it is sad to see several of my fellow students fail due to this. They implemented several measures to flunk you in a way or another. For instance they want you to pass 5 exit exams including HESI, Kaplan, ATI. They tried implementing a 50% in subcategories, what does this mean. That even if you had a A+ in a class and A+ in the final exam, if you dont get all subcategories in your final exam above 50% you would fail. And most of the times this subcategories had what 2-3 questions so you missed one question you would be at 33% and would have to repeat the whole class and pay 5000 dollars again. Which makes no sense at all. Administration does not care about you, they dont give you information written they implement stuff with out written proof. There where so many incongruencies with the administration staff. Im not saying all of them are bad. There are amazing people working for them but the head of this school is simply terrible. I would definitively not recommend you assist this school. Please look somewhere else if you dont want to be stressed and with a limited chance of graduating. With the probability of paying thousands of dollars just so you fail one question or you fail you final exit exam and you have to repeat the whole semester again, which makes you loose money and time.
