Other dentists have been a disaster. Dr. Walters had solutions to all of my problems and the training and technology to make it happen. When I needed to get cavities replaced he knew to shrink the nerve first before putting on a permanent filling. My previous dentist did not and I ended up with a root canal. Dr Walters had a simple modern appliance for my teeth grinding, my previous dentists wanted to sell me a complicated 'old' style appliance. As a result of all of my experience with Dr. Walters, he's the only dentist I've ever trusted 100%.

I'll start with a little info about me, I hate going to the dentist and avoided going at all costs, in fact I hadn't been in over 7 years, continually putting it off for fear of being judged! I guess you could call me a dental delinquent! Thanks to some not so gentle encouragement from my fiancee I finally agreed to go to her dentist after she explained how non-judgy they are here and she was 100% correct! I have seen both Dr. Bhargava and Dr. Telang here and they are both incredibly friendly (and non-judgmental) about your teeth! Dr. Telang explained in great detail all of the stats she was discussing with the hygenist as well as explaining in easy terms what you need to do. The hygenists here are also very friendly and gentle, despite needing to use many of the little hooks I had very little discomfort or pain! One final bonus is that they will deal directly with insurance if you have it, eliminating the hassle of having to deal with insurance companies yourself!

After reviewing dozens of dental clinics on-line, I chose Vimy Bridge Dental (Barrhaven) as my first choice for having teeth cleaning and all my dental work done. I chose Vimy Bridge Dental, simply due to the numerous glowing reviews found on their website. Now I believe that these reviews are either fake or they don't allow less than flattering reviews on their website. Even though I provided all of my dental insurance plan information well in advance to the front desk, my account wasn't set up and ready during my first appointment. After my initial appointment, I had to go back home and give the staff my insurance information a second time. While this dental clinic wasn't off to a good start, I gave them another chance. On my second visit Dr. Aghasi refused to do some dental work for me saying that it wasn't necessary. Dr. Aghasi's language was coarse as he refused to explain why he wouldn't do the work that I had requested. During my next visit, six months later, I found out from staff that Dr. Aghasi isn't trained to do the dental work that I needed done. My hygienist didn't give me a toothbrush after my teeth cleaning, saying that they had run out. I found Vimy Bridge Dental staff to be very unorganized and treated me just like I was a number. Therefore, because of my poor (unacceptable) experiences, I can't recommend this clinic to anyone.

First off both ladies at the desk, Judy & Janet were amazing and very welcoming. Judy was very accommodating to get me booked quickly and at a time that suited me and was helpful in getting my records transferred. Janet was very knowledgeable explaining and performing the pre-screening tests Dr. Hamill was very thorough and answered all my questions and very personable too. Now, you'd think we would prefer the hand-holding type of dentist in this situation, and in the past that's what we've sought. Well, that hasn't always worked out. Now that we've both had some terrible issues (including problems caused by previous dentists) fixed by Dr Polonsky we both agree she's a godsend. Dr Polonsky is honest and direct without being patronising or judgmental. She is 100% focused on her work, and I trust her - which has resulted in my mother and I becoming so much more confident in addressing dental issues. Dr Polonsky is sympathetic and understanding, but when it's time to get the work done she's focused on getting things done right. Her assistant (Mimi) takes care of the bedside manner/comforting part of the treatment which works GREAT. So far, this clinic has provided me with the only dental experience I've ever had that wasn't followed by complications.
