We love Turkish food and the golden standard which as I have already learned, cannot be beat, is Taci's Beyti in Brooklyn. Yet, I always give new places a chance in the hope they are able to come close to the toothsome fare we have been eating for the past 30 years. AK had great reviews, and the menu looked similar, I was happy to see pide on the menu as many Turkish places do not have it. We came in, were seated and one thing that I had noticed right away, is the absence of warm service which I am so accustomed to. Fine, we are not regulars, just visiting the area, so perhaps, they reserve this courtesy for the regulars. Onto the food. Baba ganoush was good, really smokey, but I wish it was a tad more garlicky. Liver was overdone and under seasoned, needing a copious amount of salt to make it palatable. Chicken kebab was great. Karisik pide was lame to say the least. I am used to eating this flat bread, layered with sausage, ground meat and basturma, covered in delicious gooey cheese, baked to perfection. This one had very little meat, little cheese, but lots of jalapeno, which was not even listed on the menu because had it been listed, I would have asked to hold it. There is no need for the jalapeno as the pide is already spicy enough from the sausage and basturma. Also, the bread itself was underdone and some parts were soggy. So for those living in the area, maybe this is the best you can get, but if you are ever in Brooklyn, stop by Taci's and taste what real Turkish food tastes like and experience what friendly service really is. read more

Really good food, we started off with lentil soup and Baba ganoush served with fresh bread. Lentil Soup was just average, and Baba ganoush was delicious. We also had Turkish pide pizza, it had a really thin crust and was also good. I would order it again. We also ordered chicken Shish kebab, they were awesome. The entrees take some time to come out, but upon eating them you can tell they were totally worth waiting for. Chicken gyro was also good! For dessert we had bakalava with Turkish tea, a must have! The baklava was dripping with honey and literally melted in my mouth, can't wait to have it again. Restaurant is also family friendly and overall provided great service. read more

Saturday night, parking lot was full but we didn't have to wait as we luckily found the last table open. Atmosphere was warm, clean and pleasant. Service was friendly and polite. We ordered the large mixed appetizer which was very flavorful and perfect in size for four hungry people or six if having full course meals. We were all impressed by the presentation of the entrees. Been thinking about going here for a while and decided to go grab a bite here tonight. If I had to guess, I would be willing to bet that this place gets overlooked because Turkish/Mediterranean food is not highly sought out outside of your standard gyro or grape leaves. This place is a gem and even if you're unsure about it, it's absolutely worth stopping in. We started the meal with the hummus which was delicious. Nothing fancy about it, just plain good. Served with a basket of a thinly sliced roll that was toasted after being cut, so all the pieces were crispy enough to scoop the hummus. If you're a hummus eater, this stuff is worth going for by itself. I got the Alexander kabob which was a pile of gyro meat on top of cut up pita, topped with a red sauce with Mediterranean spices (looks like marinara, but surely is not). Also came with a plain yogurt which essentially was a plain tzatziki sauce (no cucumber or dill) and rice with chickpeas in it. It was a ton of food, enough that I had to take some to go. The dish was delicious. My girlfriend got the traditional turkish dumpling, which was more like a soup. FYI, if you're anticipating a Chinese style dumpling, you are going to be disappointed. This was a chicken and dumpling style dumpling. A gnocchi, for you italian folk out there. Served in a white cream sauce and seasoned again with the Mediterranean style spices. This dish was also tasty but I will add that my girlfriend was anticipating the Chinese style dumpling so was a bit thrown off when it came out differently. Nonetheless, she still enjoyed it. All in all, I would claim this to be authentic however I'm told I'm not well versed enough in Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine to make that statement. What I can tell you is the food is great, the owners/cooks are surely authentic, and I will absolutely be going back. Worth the stop! read more

The falafel wrap was really good, like better (more flavorful) than others I have had in the area. Granted, since I don't do dairy they replaced the yogurt based sauce with hummus, so my review of the wrap is not on the one listed on the menu. The lentil soup was terrible on the other hand. I love Anatolian Kitchen. This is my friend's and my go-to places if we feel like treating ourselves. Their food is mouthwatering and of the highest quality. It's a small family-owned restaurant. I met their owners too. Very nice and humble people. If you want to order delivery, please discuss these options with them on the phone first since the delivery companies like Uber Eats or Doordash are meant to rip off both customers with high fees and also restaurants taking a big portion of the sale. The food is unbelievably amazing. My favorite is Lahmacun, Salad mix, Adana kebabs, and pide. Totally worth every penny! My wife and I were headed to the nearby OneThird (which is one of the better Asian restaurants in the area, but that's another review) when we noticed the newly opened Anatolian Kitchen and decided to stop in there instead. We tried it in no small part because my wife's father is Turkish and we are always willing to try Turkish restaurants in America (such as the very many in and around Paterson, NJ.) Boy am I glad we did. The food is fantastic. I commented to my wife that it was easily the best Turkish we have had in the States, and was probably better than anything we had eaten in Turkey this last summer (outside of her aunt's cooking!) The pide was freshly baked, the cold appetizer plate was just delicious, and our main dishes were great. The service is very friendly if languid and the only off note is the space itself which isn't particularly welcoming. the booths are widely spaced and every time the door opens a blast of cold air rockets through. Next time we will sit as far from the door as possible. Unfortunately we didn't have to worry too much about the cold because the night we were there it was pretty slow. I hope that changes because I would hate to loose food this good from the area. read more

I really, really want to like this business because it's the epitome of the American dream. The food is honest and fresh. The stakeholders seem sincere. The many people (party of 12) in my group, were very happy with most of the quality of the food. But the service was incredibly slow. Much of the side salads among my group consisted mainly of onion. The lentil soup was so thin of flavor and threadbare of lentils that they should have been embarrassed. Several big detractors: The waitress scraping off dishes in front of clients. Suggest you learn to clear tables and not scrape off and stack dishes like at home. Install a better ventilation system that will handle your fried foods and will not leave your guests smelling like a greasy-spoon cafe. Learn how to take orders and give individual checks. An Ottoman experience you'll find it hard not to relax on. Sandwiched in the same strip mall One Third Asian is in, you'll find it hard to pick heads or tails when flipping a coin of which to frequent. The other place is another Yelp review so here's the dilly on Anatolian: Casual atmosphere, friendly waitstaff and a not too cluttered layout invite patrons immediately upon entering. Blue jeans or slacks, you're fine. Got your fave Pinot, bring it and they'll provide a glass. Cordial and clean, sit down and peruse a menu anyone speaking English as their only language will quietly wish each item had a picture. Don't worry, it's all delicious. The waitstaff will guide you thru if you're unsure. Appetizers max out around 6 bucks and most woman-sized appetites will likely call their appetizers an entree. Entrees can reach $20 but you're guaranteed to take a doggie bag home. I know this because I'm 260 and do just that. I'm unsure if this next part is a sales gimmick or a tip generating scheme but every time I've eaten there, somewhere around mid-course something gratis appears from the kitchen. Be it their Turkish pizza or stuffed grape leaves or a mixmatch of other appetizers, you're getting more than you thought you're ordering. Final pill to swallow, (ordered food, not counting freebies) three appetizers, one bowl of soup, one entree, tea and soda came to $29. I've been there several times and intend on going back many many more. read more

I am so in love with this place. It is an hour drive from where I live but I think about the food almost daily. Sometimes more. The food is simple and fresh and very much prepared with love and attention. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. The space is clean and bright and inviting. The prices are very reasonable and portions are great... there are so many things I want to eat, we generally order waaaaaay too much and are stuffed, but still end up with a bill of under $40. The first time we went, we got a small mixed appetizer platter - all of which were delicious, my favorites were the eggplant salad, the ezme and the melt-in-your-mouth grape leaves. The freshly made bread was dynamite and completely addictive. I had a cheese pide with red peppers which was delicious and really huge, made entirely from scratch so it took a little extra time to come out which I did not mind waiting for one bit. My bf got a chicken kabob platter, and the chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned, with a lovely salad and aromatic bulgur pilaf. I couldn't resist trying their kazandibi, one of my favorite Turkish deserts and it was just rich, creamy heaven (and definitely big enough to share!! do not attempt this alone!) Our second visit we ordered ezme, the potato and zucchini pastry which was divine, and I got the vegetable dumplings with garlic yogurt sauce which was tremendously comforting, though maybe better on a winter day while there is still a chill in the air. My bf had a falafel platter and their falafels are outstanding - perfectly crispy outside and smooth and creamy (NOT brittle and cakey like some I have had!). We didn't have room for desert, but I pined for kazandibi again... we will be visiting here a-plenty. Definitely worth the drive! read more

I really enjoy the food here. My family and I come here at least once a week. The food is fresh and always taste good. They get busy sometimes and they don't have a bunch of employees so it can take a while before you get service. They are foreigners so don't expect the usually "happy go lucky" customer service you might get at a regular American dining place. Nevertheless I don't let their attitude ruin my appetite because the food is worth it! Lol! You can BYOB if you want to dine in. Their chicken soap is to die for! This place is likely the Turkish equivalent to what a pizzeria is to an Italian. And it is very good! Small, but not claustrophobic. Not fancy but not a dive. Very clean and most importantly, the food was tasty. Not too expensive either. My daughter and I were pleased. This place is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Lehigh Valley. I lived in Southern Turkey for 3 months. One of the things I really miss about the area since coming back to America is the food. As someone who has lived in Turkey, I guarantee you that the food at Anatolian Kitchen is extremely authentic. It has everything from Kebab to hummus, to Boregi, to pistachio baklava. It brought back a lot of nostalgia for me. I definitely recommend The Adana Kebab, it even had the onion parsley salad. It was like I was back in Turkey again, eating kebab by the city square. The restaurant is family run, the place has a clean and warm atmosphere and the service is very friendly. I'll be coming back here every time i'm back in the area, and I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in wanting to try some Middle Eastern or Eastern Mediterranean food. read more

Fantastic addition to north Bethlehem restaurants, and a great partner for its neighbor, One Third. The restaurant was quiet, which can be a bad sign, but I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service friendly...although a little slow. But given that the lamb meatballs and kebabs were made from scratch this was ok. The doner kebabs are the best I've tasted in the USA and very close to those I've had in Europe ...the meat very well seasoned and tasty. The menu has some good variety and I will definitely be back. Anyone who enjoys trying different food will find good variety here; all served fresh, of high quality and at a good price.
