Four of us enjoyed lunch, ordering an appetizer of rolled grape leaves, one kabob wrap with chicken, and three gyro wraps with lamb. We all loved our wraps served on in house-made pita that was pillow-soft and steaming hot. Our server was friendly with a good sense of humor to match ours. Food came quickly to our table. I only came here a few times for take out. They do have tables inside if you wanted to eat there. Service is friendly. I've started with their bolani and samosa. Their falafel is good too. We were pleasantly surprised by how great the food here is! It's a small place with beautiful murals of Afghanistan on the walls. Nothing fancy. We've been twice now and the second time was just as good. I tried the eggplant curry first and shrimp curry the next time and my husband had chicken kababs. The babaganoug was smoky and warm. I'm from VA, so it was a new experience. our kabob spots give u a side of chickpeas, spinach, eggplants, or potatoes and a roti/naan.. this was just rice and a salad in the chicken over rice container.. a little disappointed in portion size for $18... but then again there's 100 kabob spots back home so I guess they have to price competitively.... . seems like competition is few in Allentown area... food was great tho. A gem that I recently discovered. They truly have very scrumptious kebabs. I didn't take a picture because we got excited to eat it. I got the lamb kebab and bf got the beef one. Very flavorful. It was a takeout but the person on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. One of my favorite places to get a kabob wrap in the Lehigh Valley, . Prices are pretty fair compared to most places I've been, and the quality of the food is always good and the staff is friendly every time. I have tried the Samosas before, and those were only okay. Wouldn't say I'd recommend them, I usually just stick to the different wraps. I do have two knocks on the place, which is why they get the 4/5 stars....they take FOREVER to make your food, and I mean forever. Luckily I think it's worth the wait most times, and only order when I'm not in a time crunch. They also have one of the worst parking lots I've ever had to drive in. This place needs to be more diligent when it comes to preparing food for its customers. I have no issue with a long wait time if the food served is fresh, but the last time I went there, I waited very long for my gyro and bolani only to get home and realize that it was clearly sitting there for a while or maybe ordered by someone else who didn't pick it up. It was cold, soggy and the lettuce was wilted. The bolani was also cold and greasy. It doesn't take much to prepare FRESH food. Do better! read more

I don't know whether this is really traditional Afghan food but it certainly is tasty. I had a dish of lamb and raisins in rice. It wise nicely spiced and cooked tender. I definitely want to go back to try other items on their menu. If you are sensitive to spicy food be aware that it is a bit spicy but very tasty. read more

This was a good surprise. The 3.5 stars on Yelp should be 4.5 in my opinion. My brother and I were visiting and wanted a different place to eat. The restaurant was empty when we arrived since we got there really early for dinner, but we were soon joined by 2 other groups of diners. We shared the mixed appetizer, I had the chicken seekh kebab and my brother had the beef seekh kebab, and we split a pistachio kulfi (the cardamom flavor was intense, but I liked it). The portions were generous, the food well spiced and the staff was very courteous. I had to take some of my food home. Where to start......went on a Tuesday night. Place was empty. Should have been the first clue. Very well lit. Cold - no heat on although they had a small portable heater running. We went to front counter where a young (10-11) girl was at the register staring at us. There is no sign to seat yourself or wait to be seated. We approached the counter and the girl looked frightened. She only spoke in extremely hushed tones after we asked her if we order first then sit down or what. We checked on the menu at the register and ordered. We them asked if we could sit....the girl more or less just walked to the back so we sat (should have been the second clue. We ordered the combo platter. Came out with a side of yellow rice that was dry and tasteless. Was not fresh. In fact the entire meal was very dry as if it was all microwaved. The beef mishaki was very dry and chewy. The chicken mishaki was ok. The chicken kabob was dry and extremely spicey. The beef kabob was dry and had some heat. We were given one small cup of yogurt/mint sauce between the two of us. The pita was not fresh, was definitely microwaved and chewy. We did not see anyone after our meals were served. We had to go to the front to flag down the waitress for our check. The meal was very overpriced for what we ordered and the quality ($18.00 a plate). This was so disappointing because we love Middle Eastern food. We will not be back. I would not waste my time. read more

There is no accessibility and they act sorta resentful toward those who are somewhat handicapped.

It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

Good authentic takes on Afghani food. This is Central Asian food, not Middle-Eastern as many adventurous americans mistake regions for. That being said, I've had Afghani food near Afghanistan (pulaow, lamb boti, naan) and their flavors are reminiscent of cuisine from that region.
