Ordered pickup from here and it was ready in 15 minutes! Casual takeout spot with a few tables. Typical eastern PA sandwich shop... Except the steak hoagies in the Lehigh Valley hit different. Ordered a pizza steak and side of pierogis. The pierogis are I N C R E D I B L E!!! Order some if you're thinking about it! The steak with the sauce and hot peppers is everything. So good! Looking at the reviews I thought this would be a good place. When I got there everything was overpriced (3.50 for a 20oz bottle of soda), the place was empty and looked dirty. But I figured I would give it a try as the photos and reviews were good. When I got the food I was sad to say the steaks were not filled, falling apart and bland. If I could name my price I wouldnt have paid half. Same yourself the cost and get better steaks elsewhere. read more

I stopped by on Black Friday to grab cheesesteaks with the family. We were promptly taken out separate orders and food came out fast and hot. I did the homemade pierogies (an absolute must have!) and large cheesesteak on a seeded roll. I asked for sauce on the side (I didn't like the sauce, and you didn't need sauce) the cheesesteak was excellent. Next time I would try the ribeye $2 upgrade. Definitely will be back! read more

We had cheesesteak and pierogis, both very good! We had the regular, not "in-house rib eye" and the meat and cheese stayed together so well and the bread was delicious! The pierogis are fried, which I didn't expect, but they were also excellent! It's a local deli type place, some people complain about the "ambiance", it's clean and the people are friendly! I have been trying to get here for about a year and finally got the chance. Eli's is considered a top 5 steak in the LV by a lot of people I respect so I had to find out for myself. I have at least a very strong top 3 so there is room in that top 5, but it'll have to knock at least one more decent steak out. The meat was seasoned well, the onions were cooked well and had the proper dice to them, and the roll was solid. The ability to get cooper sharp on a steak always makes the place an instant point higher or so in my opinion. Steak was a bit pricey but what isn't these days? I would definitely say this slides into the top 5 in the LV for me. I've heard their other sandwiches are just as good so i'll need to go back soon, but Eli's - Didn't Suck! A very serious cheesesteak!! Plenty of meat (high quality) and flavor. We got without pickles and sauce. Got the sauce on the side and it's really good. When I go next time I'd ask for extra onions and cheese. Also tried the pierogies. Those were very good also. I'd definitely try some more food for sure if I lived in the area. Tried Eli's for the first time with my wife. Appears to be mostly a pick up and take out establishment. Only a couple of table's available. However, we dined in and had an enjoyable experience. The owner was incredibly friendly as we discussed his business. I went with the Cheesesteak and my wife went with a sub. Both sandwiches were nice size and tasty. Personally, I believe the roll makes a big difference and the roll here did not disappoint. Stop by and treat yourself to quick and quality meal. read more

This five star review is based on ONE visit....but....this is a REALLY good sandwich place in Bethlehem. Was with a group of guys who stopped in for lunch. They have a variety of subs and steak sandwiches, along with other grill type items (and deep fried ones). I can completely speak to the PHILLY Steak they have (they have more than one type of steak sandwich that varies with toppings, cheese, and condiments). The PHilly was with onions, peppers, prov (and mayo...which some would argue isn't ever on a true Philadelphia steak...but thats another agrument...because the flavor was excellent and the bread was SPOT ON...slightly grilled but really soft). Others had a roast beef sub and some version of a chicken steak (not sure of which one)......everyone enjoyed their meal. I ended up getting a combo, which for another $4.49, you can get chips and a drink (which pushed the lunch to about 12.50....which seemed a bit high...the sandwich a la carte was $7.49...not sure if I'd get the combo again as it came with a drink and choice of fries/homemade chips....but that's a personal preference). I was sold though...I drive by this place several times a week and was glad I gave it a try. They seem to have other specials on a sign that are a bit cheaper each day, so if on budget might try one of them...but I was pleased if you haven't figured it out by now. I had been in this place under the previous ownership before it was remodeled, and was pretty much disappointed. Today I was in for a surprise! Operated by the previous owner of Broad St Deli (west Bethlehem & then East Allentown) & Grille and Dellio's Deli & (Airport Rd accross from LVIA) Grille. He makes great sandwiches. Had the "small" 7" & it lived up to all his previous locations quality! Yum. Great roll that he toasted on the grill!
