He was chatting with the guy (in another language) before me and I feel like they kept looking at me weird but they were the only dog stand around, so I just paid for my dog and left.

And if you like caramelized onions, you won't find better ones in the city. I am a person that generally despises hot dogs unless they are really fancy (a la International House of Hot Dogs, down the street). But on a sunny day, sometimes its nice to sit outside and people watch the tourists, sunbathe and eat a greasy dog buried in tasty toppings. Other than IHOH, you won't find a better dog in down. However, their description states they are noted for their standout Panang. The interior is ok, not fine dining, standard tables and chairs, not too cluttered with artwork, and music was playing. As I also love Panang, I chose to have that with chicken, and husband ordered something called Khao Mu Dang. We also ordered a Thai Tea. The server was energetic, and smiled a lot. We didn't have to wait long, I was served a hefty portion of rice, and a big bowl of curry sauce. Mine came out first, and I started without him. I must say that I do agree, this is standout Panang, and it's the best I've had in Anchorage. It's just the right amount of kick. Just enough to get my nose running after a few mouthfuls. The sauce is amazing, and the chicken is plentiful, and very tender, and I do have leftover sauce and rice in the fridge for later. If it were served on its own as a soup, without rice, I'd call it "Chicken Soup for the Soul" because it surely did my soul good, even eating it alone without rice. Superb, perfectly spiced, perfectly seasoned, deliciously umami. I think I could eat this several times a week, and not feel cheated. His dish had some pretty spectacularly flavoured pork, it was delicious, and the sauce, yet again, so good, but his was what they call a "dry dish" whereas mine was "soupy" or maybe they call it wet. I don't know, all I know is, that the amount of times I was saying "mmmm" was kind of embarrassing. So, that was an absolutely delightful dinner, and I'm grateful because we'd not been anywhere in recent weeks that thrilled me like this. Will definitely be back for more. We knew to look for the red umbrella and they were so friendly throwing us a shaka as we walked by. After getting a walk in first, we made sure to stop by for a reindeer sausage loaded with onions and a choice of condiments that you can add yourself, perfect to enjoy at the grass area nearby.

I discovered that they have chicken sausages, so I decided to stop by. My daughter and I were welcomed as soon as we walked up and the guy let me know they have vegan dogs also. My daughter had a corn dog, which is chicken also. All the ingredients were not available for the chicken dog and I opted out of the bacon but still delicious. I wish I could say the food was amazing, but it just wasn't very good at all. I found myself very disappointed with my choice in what truck to order dinner from as there were so many other options. It was edible, and I don't think it was made wrong it just lacked any flavor. The Mac & cheese barely had any cheese. The pulled pork was more the flavor of the bbq sauce than actually smoked pork. The peppers and onions on the reindeer dog were barely cooked. Nothing had seasoning on it. It was one of the most lackluster meals I've had in a long time. I tried feeding the Mac to my toddler so I could get something else, and even he wasn't having it. To add insult to injury both items were $10, which I felt was pretty pricey for the dog. The Mac I can understand a more expensive price tag because of the pulled pork, but portion size was still fairly tiny. Not sure if it was an off day or what, but I'm wary to give this truck another chance. If I did I would just order plain dogs, and add my own condiments.
