Anchorage Forget Me Not Cleaning did a great job on our home. We have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2-story home with a very hairy German Shepherd Dog. Signi and her team thoroughly cleaned every part of our home - places we frankly never think to clean. We have been using another highly rated cleaning service for the past year who did a solid job, but Forget Me Not Cleaning did a significantly more thorough job - to the point I honestly don't think a stranger would even know we have a dog. Our dog was less pleased and immediately started shedding her fur everywhere to make the house smell like dog again - which is why we asked Forget Me Not Cleaning to become our regular cleaner. A word to the wise, use this company with extreme caution. Back in August, Sigmi came to my house and provided an estimate of $875 for a one time cleaning, $480 for carpets to be shampooed with a deposit of $875 to hold the date we were requesting & to go towards the final bill. Considering the size of our rental, at the time I thought we were getting a steal of a deal. Fast forward to a week before the cleaning, I am told by the rental company, hey don't worry about getting the carpets shampooed, the homeowners are replacing all the carpet when you leave. I then tell Sigmi about this. She proceeds to yell at me about how I have lost her money because she is now unable to clean a hotel because she booked the van for our house, even though I told her we wouldn't be using this service and had time to fill the slot. The day of cleaning, she messages me an hour and half after they were suppose to have started cleaning telling me that the property is in worst condition then when she did the inspection in August, keep in mind that the rental is completely empty as the movers had taken all of our furniture a week prior to the cleaning just so that everything would be cleaned throughly for the move out clean. Right away I ask what the additional fee is going to be because I know it is coming. We stop messaging around 3pm and so i head to the house around 6pm to lock it up because I thought the house being empty would make it a one day clean, nope. I showed up and they had only completed the middle floor of the property. She claimed the kitchen was disgusting behind the stove, washer, dryer and she couldn't get the fridge moved to clean behind there which may have been true but if you want to feel like a disgusting human who sucks at cleaning, hire her. She will make you feel like shit about it especially when she sends you videos of cleaning the top of cabinets that probably haven't been touched in years by the looks of the before video. The unplanned second day of cleaning, she told me, her and her team would be at the house by 0730 but didn't show up until 0845, claiming she would be there by word of mouth but that morning she told me she was there until 930pm. We told her to be out of the house by 1200 because she wanted an extra $300 for the "12 additional man hours" but here is the deal, I don't even know if they showed up at 10 the day prior as previously discussed because I was hoping she was an honest person to her word. While her cleaning was fine, there were clear spots that were missed that the rental company let slide, her attitude towards us when we told her we wouldn't need the carpet shampooed turned petty as she still chose to charge us the $480 because she had to vacuum 6 times to get the dog hair up out of a room. (Which I know she lied to me about it because the room she claimed that dog hair came from, the dogs hadn't been in for over 2 years because it turned into our storage room) If you do use this company, get everything in actual writing, not the PDF "contract" that you can't actually sign and don't pay your deposit without getting a few additional quotes because after the fact, I found companies who would of cleaned the 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath with a large basement, living room, family room and kitchen for around $400, even with the amount of dog hair that was left. I hired this company for a deep cleaning on my 2700sft home. Signi arrived for an estimate and quoted $850.00. I thought this was high, but agreed to move forward because of the positive reviews. I asked how many people would be doing the work and she said four. The night before we were scheduled, I called for a confirmation and we agreed four cleaners would begin at 12pm and she stated the cleaning would take around five to six hours. At 12:30, two women arrived. I showed them around and told them what my priorities were. I asked them NOT to waste time vacuuming because we had just had the carpets deep cleaned the day before, and asked them to start with two small 11x11ish bedrooms belonging to my children as I needed to put my daughter down for a nap and get my son out of everyone's way. By 1:30 neither room was completed, nor was any other room, and the ladies were moving at a snail's pace. I've had lots of housecleaning done in the past and it is very hard work, but these two women were the slowest I have ever seen, to the point of being almost dramatic. At 1:30 I texted Signi and asked if two more cleaners were coming and she assured me two more would arrive "in a little" to help and said she had eight cleanings that day. Not my problem if you over-scheduled. Two more hours pass with no one else showing up, and not a single room had been completed in three hours. The ladies spent the entire time upstairs doing I don't know what aside from an hour and a half vacuuming nothing, despite me repeatedly telling them not to and to please focus on what I had asked be done. All that the children's bedrooms needed was dusting and one bed made, and neither was finished. There was food and sticky stuff left on two of the nightstands, and they said the room was done. I took a picture of the nightstand and sent it to Signi letting her know that they STILL, three hours later, hadn't finished a single room upstairs and hadn't even started the bulk of the work which was downstairs, nor had anyone else appeared. At this rate they wouldn't even be finished by 10pm. She started to get a bit argumentative, telling me "cleaning takes time" and that she could have started at 8am if I needed it finished. Had she told me the night prior she would be sending two people and that it would take all day, I would have been fine with that, but she said noon, four cleaners, and five to six hours. After reiterating this, she finally said she was coming over with another girl. When she got here around 4:30, she started arguing with my husband about the carpet needing to be vacuumed. Doesn't matter that she thinks it needed it (it did not in almost every area), and I specifically asked them not to waste time on it. Then she started arguing with him over the nightstand being clean in the master bedroom, pulling out her phone and saying she'll show him the picture I sent. The picture sent was of a nightstand in my son's "finished" bedroom, which, incidentally, never was cleaned. Finally, she tried to argue with me over cleaning the inside of the refrigerator. She acted clueless as if we had never spoken about cleaning the refrigerator, which wasn't the case. When we did the walkthrough I specifically stated I wanted the refrigerator done, and would ensure old food was thrown out. With four people now cleaning the house, they managed to finish the job and left at 7:30pm as I was busy bathing my daughter and getting her to bed. Signi offered a walkthrough which I declined. Had I not been tired of the entire affair, I would have pointed out another half hour worth of stuff they missed. Bottom line: the cleaning, overall, was adequate. Lots of missed places for a "top to bottom deep clean", but it was acceptable. The experience, however, was frustrating and unprofessional. For the $1025.00 I ultimately paid (including a tip I really didn't want to give), I would expect more attention to detail and not to be argued with when what was promised wasn't delivered. I pre-cleaned, made sure everything was away and all areas accessible, and there was no excuse for the day going as it had. Wouldn't use again. EDIT: Within roughly ten minutes of leaving this review, I received EIGHT more argumentative text messages from Signi. She corrected me that she actually brought two more people with her, so it was five (not four) that still couldn't finish the job on time. Thanks for pointing that out! Also, trying to say my house was in "bad shape". Really? I'm going to go ahead and post a few BEFORE pictures of my built in 2014 "bad shape" house, taken while the first two women were upstairs cleaning. Nothing downstairs had been done when these were taken, aside from pulling out oven racks to begin the oven cleaning cycle. This kitchen and garage entry were literally the dirtiest areas of my house, and I doubt many would consider it "in bad shape". And you moved nothing. So now you can enjoy a one star instead of three. read more

This was a terrible experience! I used this person two times while on base. The first time was for a deep clean, she came over and did a quick walk through. Then asked us what was a good price for us. PCSing from California we told her that we would normally pay $900 or so. She smiled and said that's exactly the amount she was think. Come to find out the normal asking price was around $400. The cleaning lady that arrived told us we we're extremely over charged. Second time we used this company, we where in the process of leaving JBER and needed a final cleaning. The company offered services $200 to $300 over normal ask prices around the area. But offered a guarantee that we would pass all inspections and that's why they were so high in price. So we hired them again. Once hired they told me it would be an extra $50 charge for picking up the trash still in the house. I declined and did it in 15 minutes. Then they let me know that they didn't do clean the blinds and that I would have to do that as well. During the final inspection, the inspector found many discrepancies and even talked with the cleaners about it. The inspector even told them we should get a refund. After we had to pay for the things they failed on, the company wouldn't even pay us back for the areas they failed on. So, we we're out even more money. By no means, trust this company to be honest or fair when dealing with your house. Her word on passing inspections means absolutely nothing and will not give you a discount on things her people miss. The extra money is not worth spending on the services. There are more companies out there that will do the job cheaper and in my experience, better. Just have the list of things they need to clean ready and save yourself the money and hassle of dealing with this company. read more

Was told they usually do "walk throughs" and don't charge an hourly rate but I was moving into a new place and didn't have access until it closed and wanted it cleaned as soon as I got the keys. Was told for a place as many sq ft as mine it could go as high as $400 for a "move in" cleaning. I was okay with that but still seemed high. The crew showed up late with only one of the three workers there the whole time and working hard. When it was done I was told it would be $1500. For 7 man hours. That's $214/hr?! I do not recommend but if you do use them make sure you have a firm quote upfront. read more

Signi and her crew are amazing. I've tried out a few other cleaning services in Anchorage over the years, and Forget Me Not is by far the best I've seen. The cleaners are friendly and thorough, and they remembered my preferences from the first cleaning to the second. I'm so happy with how my house looks after they've been here.
