Mr. Aaron has worked through so many of my troubled areas and he's been excellent in helping me stand on my own two feet. Through each session, I learn more about myself and what I have to offer to the world. I learn that I can face my worst problems and fears head on. Mr. Aaron has inspired me to push myself harder than I ever thought to push my mental boundaries. We have worked through some difficult times, but he met each moment with grace. Always putting my faith first and foremost, he thrives on teaching me new ways to heal and to lean on tried and true strategies that have proven beneficial in the past. The atmosphere at Anchored Hope is extremely laid back and comforting. A quiet hum of K-Love while you wait is ever-inspiring to those with a weary heart. Complimentary water is available while you wait. The staff is especially helpful with setting up appointments so you can be a healthier, better you. read more

History

Established in 2017.

Dr. Deborah Braboy opened her own practice after several years practicing in different counseling settings. At Anchored Hope Counseling we focus on providing our clients with help, hope, and healing. We have 10 counselors with their own unique counseling style and training. We are a diverse group with both male and female counselors and represent different races and ethnicities.

Meet the Business Owner: Deborah B.

Dr. Deborah Braboy is licensed in both Arkansas and Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor (and Supervisor). She received her PhD in 2013 at Regent University in Counseling Education and Supervision. Her doctoral dissertation study addressed adolescent grief. When she was just 34 years old, she experienced the unexpected death of her husband and learned about the lonely journey of grief. Being widowed changed her perspective on life and her direction. Four years later she married her husband Keith (also widowed), and their combined experiences were what led to her pursuit of a career in counseling. She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK for her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Deborah and Keith have blended their family and raised three (now adult) children. Blending a family can be challenging AND rewarding. This experience has provided her with a healthy perspective in working with families who are blended.

Dr. Braboy and her staff are the most kind and caring people I know. Your always nervous when you look for a therapist. Will they think your crazy? Will they keep what you talk about a secret? It's hard to trust someone to that degree. My wife and I found trust, peace, and HOPE at Anchored Hope. They have also been very helpful with my oldest child. He doesn't talk to anyone. But he loves and trusts "Dr. D". That's what he calls Doctor Braboy. We really did find help here. I 100% recommend them without reservation. My family and I will continue to visit them regularly. They have become very important to us. On another note, the environment is clean and very comfortable. I feel peace when I walk in the door. They also work hard to make the insurance/pay issues go as smoothly as possible. If you are looking for a therapist, you should go to Anchored Hope. read more
