A massage is supposed to relax you all the mean while pulling and strengthening your muscles. I had a very uncomfortable time here unfortunately. 1. My husband gave me a Groupon to visit Lucky Spa. Upon arriving, the manager at the front desk didn't understand that it's paid off. I told him to input my voucher code but unfortunately there was a Groupon error. I told him I would wait and in return he tells me to call Groupon and tell them to fix it. Yeah okay?! It eventually worked and I was hurried inside. He was pissed at me. 2. Okay.. there are 6 beds in this room. No sense of privacy. At least pull the makeshift curtains. Not very fancy or spa like. 3. Too many distractions. You hear the loud chatter between the staff, the bell at the front door constantly going off, and the patrons who also weren't sure what was happening. 4. Upon my massage (which was 5/10) completing. I waited up front for the manager to charge my card for tip.. he came out there all upset and talking loudly asking what I need.. and after I told him "tip" his face lightened up. I'm all for trying new places but if you have a Groupon deal going on.. please be courteous as everyone coming in after 5pm is heading back from work and are tired. Btw, I am bilingual myself.. but at work I remain professional and talk in a way where everyone can understand. read more

First - read review by Holly S. (particularly about stepping out of your bubble!). I agree it's the norm for foot spa's and a great price. Second - They also do full body acupressure massage in private rooms as well. I've had five in the last two months (w/ Wendy). Great massage including hot rocks on spine & any particularly bad knots, followed by hot steam towels & rub down to remove massage oil. I understand if you're not expecting it, the communal reflexology room can be a little disconcerting. If you are open to trying, you'll see lots of couples and groups of friends who go as part of an evening out. Culturally, it's an Asian norm that's worth experiencing. In reference to any language barrier, there is a menu on the wall by front counter listing all the different services, length of time and cost. I recommend simply walking up to it and pointing to the option you want, There's no offense taken, the staff are very aware they aren't fluent in English (yet). :) read more

For everyone complaining about the privacy & hearing a language other than English, please step out of your society constructed bubble. This is your typical foot spa, very low cost & they are not private massage rooms. I have been to almost every massage/spa service across the country & this is not your intimate room & unclothed massage. I suggest people research what they purchased before complaining. If you want something inexpensive, need a quick 20-60 min massage last minute after the gym, a long travel, then this is for you. You have foot reflexology along with a clothed body massage and walk out feeling amazed and not slathered in oil. Highly recommend! read more

I would give it a four or five but the male guy at the desk does not understand English well and he tries to manipulate the language barrier to his advantage. The massage therapist skill level was better than average but she keeps speaking to the guy up front while massaging me! This is an interesting place. The red velvet beds and lack of privacy made me especially uncomfortable. While my massage therapist was very professional, she spoke no English, making it very difficult to communicate with her regarding the massage. Needless to say, this massage left me incredibly sore for days afterwards. read more

It was just OK, Maybe just not what I expected. Not fancy or spa-like, the place was rather shabby looking. I had a groupon for a 30 minute session. My ankle has been stiff and sore and I wanted the massage to be mainly on my feet. I arrived early expecting to fill out a form or at least have a conversation with the massage therapist but, this was not to be. In fact when I started to talk, he cut me off and got started. There is not a private room but then the back and neck massage was done with clothes on. (Maybe the hour massage is different.) I purchased a Groupon and was looking forward to a nice relaxing foot rub today. When I arrived, there were two clerks there who spoke little to no English. I asked for a foot rub reflexology with no other parts touched. They nodded their heads in agreement. I had a male masseuse who obviously was not told my request. The whole session was just torture for me due to the language barrier. I wanted a gentle foot massage and I got leg and foot torture. I told him that he was too firm on me but he did not understand. He moved to give me a head, neck and shoulder massage which I nodded no and pointed to my feet only. He went back to my feet only to torture me some more. I cut the session short because I couldn't take it any longer and gave him a tip and left. Nice man but due to the language barrier it was a bad experience for me. I was satisfied with the overall massage and atmosphere for the price. It is in the open but quiet and relaxing enough to enjoy it peacefully. I felt great after the massage and better then quite a few places that I pay a lot more for. I would give it a try. I did not get the name of the person doing the massage but she was great. Did you know that the price on Groupon is the same as they have at their business. I just learned that Groupon gets 40% of any price. It's a nice spa and they do a very good job. I like the owners and I had asked them how they are doing with their business. When they told me the only way to get people in is using Groupon they really don't make any money. So they are struggling. If you know anyone who wants to go there it's worth it without buying Groupon. Let these people make their money Word-of-mouth is a good thing. Remember, it's the same price at the store and they get all their money. If you go through Groupon they take 40%. read more

A very disappointing experience. I had a massage in a room full of massage-like tables. It was not in a private room which I thought was strange. Every time the front door opened, the masseuse would run away to deal with whomever walked in. WTH! I came in for a relaxing massage and left completely irritated. I've been coming here since about December 2018. I guess I was lucky the first 4 times I went I had the same guy, only negative about him was his breath smelled like salami, but the massage was great. The 5th time I had a woman that did my massage and really didn't massage it was more of a light touch or slight rub, didn't really do much for me and when she got to my feet I was giggling a little bit because it ticked. Now today I went and I'd have to say out of all my years going to places like this it was definitely my worst experience ever!!! The man who did my massage, not the one I had in the past a new one, was EXTREMELY ROUGH. I'm sorry but digging elbows, and digging knuckles into someone's bones is NOT a massage nor is it a pleasant experience. To top it all of when I was face down I ended up having an erect penis on the back of my head, and grazed upon my hand quite a few times as if it seemed intentional. I wanted to yell out "ouch" quite a few times but didn't want to be a disturbance to the other patrons, although for 10 minutes of my service they were arguing with the lady at the front desk that they already paid and that the lady was trying to double charge them. I am very sore now and feeling worse than I did before I went in there, both mentally and physically. After service was completed he made sure to walk to the front and give me a small cup of water and stood right in front of my basically blocking the door to leave and less than 6 inches away from me, I work in the service industry and I know that if I would have performed a service as such I wouldn't have received a tip and honestly I did not want to tip this guy. His movements with the "massage " were all over the place with no sense of order. I highly doubt I will ever return here because of my experience today. read more
