I called right when they opened, and they were able to fit me in. My therapist was nice and gentle with my scalp. They have a bathroom for customers to use towards the back. They have water if you are thirsty. One thing I did notice, but I did not receive, was the HD scalp examination. **most of the 1 start reviews are about things I believe are personal preference - if you are tender headed then don't get a scalp massage? if you don't like hot oil, don't get a massage! This is also not a dermatologists office so If you're expecting any medical treatment or diagnosis don't go here. Complaints I've seen that didn't apply to me: The rooms were not humid or hot. I did not leave with my hair dry and frizzy. The manager did NOT step into my room at all, let alone several times. I did not get a couples massage so my therapist was not chatting to anyone whilst doing my service, let alone looking at her phone. Firstly, I got a deep tissue 1 hr massage and a 1 hr scalp massage. Deep tissue came first and I was escorted to a room where I undressed and the massage therapist came in shortly after. Whole body massage with warm oil and hot stones towards the end - the ONLY thing she did not fully massage was my feet which I didn't mind. The only qualm I have was that the room was close to the lobby and you could hear when people were talking or if there was scuttling around. The room I was in was adjacent to another that shared a wall but it didn't go up to ceiling so I could hear the moaning and groaning of the woman who was getting massaged in the other room LOL. Next can the scalp massage directly after. I was escorted out and to a back room which was fully closed off to do the scalp treatment. For the whole hour, she washed and cleaned my scalp two times while scratching and massaging then put the steam hood on. During this she intermittently massaged my shoulders and the top of my chest by my collar bones whilst cascading warm water over these areas. During the steam, she massaged both arms and hands and gave a quick compression massage to both legs. Overall was a nice experience if you are seeking massage and relaxation. Buyer beware‼ I called ahead to book an appointment. on the call I informed them that I did have a $100 gift card and they told me for the scalp service 90 min, I would have to pay $40 on top of that. So 140 total Once I arrived, They asked if we had the next two hours available - I had just assumed that the services might bleed into the 2-hour timeline. It wasn't until I was paying for the services that I found out it's $180 for a full 2-hour service. They don't promote pricing for their 2-hr treatment and I was unaware that's what I was paying for. I knew when they started drying my hair that they were not hair stylist and I don't hold that against them. But please just dry and don't attempt to style. Beware. Its a two min scalp "assessment," they'll tell you if your scalp is oily or sensitive, etc. The massage rooms are very hot and humid. I did this with my sister and the two women kept chatting and laughing with watch other and the manager walked in so many times it was very disruptive. They will shampoo your hair and give you a hair mask treatment. Smelled like Garnier Fructis. Honestly, I've had a better shampooing experience with my hairdresser. They have bottles of Olaplex at the front drying station but they don't use Olaplex on you. The neck, shoulder, arm massage was nothing special. Lasted less than 5 minutes. They give you a rough hair dry afterwards and rub a little bit of Kerastase oil. Keep in mind they are NOT hair stylists, you will get a very rough dry and not a blow out. My partner got me a Groupon voucher after seeing promotional videos about their signature head therapy, and I was so excited. It looked so gentle and relaxing and boy was that falsely advertised. They first sit you down in a chair to do the initial scalp assessment. That only really lasted a minute to show you how your scalp looked. I already knew I was coming in with an oily scalp, so it wasn't any new information to me. During this time, as I was in the waiting area with other people, the workers kept trying to sell a longer package to everyone. I came in for a 60 minute treatment and was asked multiple times if I wanted to do the 90 and every single time I refused and reminded them that I was doing the 60 minute one. They bring you in to a room and the beginning of the treatment was relaxing. I couldn't hear much of what was going outside of the room, they did a mini facial massage, and oiled my hair with some tools. After that, it all went down hill. The lady doing my treatment spent 10-15 minutes shampooing my hair and scrubbing my scalp roughly with her nails. It was honestly redundant and it wasn't relaxing because it wasn't gentle. After shampooing the second time (which lasted less than a few minutes), she put conditioner in my hair and put a steamer over my head. Once she turned it on, my scalp started to BURN. At that time she started giving me a hand/arm massage and I had to stop her to tell her my scalp was burning and that it hurt. She turned the steamer either on low or turned it off because it was unbearable. After that, she tried brushing the conditioner through my hair and that was painful too because they'd start from the roots. I have really thick hair that easily gets tangled, so I expected some pulling but I was wincing in pain. After the treatment was done, they bring you back to the lobby and show you how clean your scalp is after the treatment. I already knew that coming into this that they aren't hair stylist and would only rough dry your hair. Unfortunately, she was continually brushing my hair again from the roots as she was trying to blow dry my hair. At this point, my scalp was feeling so tender and she would pass the spots that hurt the most with the blow dryer and they started to burn again. At that point I was almost in tears because of how much pain I was in. I really expected this to be a relaxing experience and it turned into one of the most painful. They even ask you (more like pressure you) to tip the workers at the end. Not only did this treatment almost leave me in tears, it actually left me WITH SCABS. That night, I felt my scalp and felt my hair was matted and it felt like something was stuck in my hair. I made my partner look at my scalp to only find that my scalp was scabbed up and I had dried up puss stuck in my hair. It hurt to put my hair up to shower and this treatment left my scalp feeling tender and in pain for over 24 hours. I got it done on a Friday and all weekend I had carefully removed scabs from hair. When I decided to give $10, the owner said that's too low and I have to tip more while showing me a suggested percentage or 25, 30%. And saying that their workers primarily rely on tips. My friend and I went here to get the scalp treatment. We felt extremely bamboozled with false advertising regarding what this "treatment" included. I can't stress enough how little they seem to know about handling hair. Started out very rushed, they put us in our room right at the start of the hour and then came in every 30 seconds after that to try to get going. This treatment is just them aggressively washing your hair 3-4 times. They didn't even give us a scalp massage in the process. The body massage part was no more than 5 minutes. Anytime they brush your hair they will do so from the crown of your head and truly do not care how many hairs are pulled out in the process. At the end of the treatment they towel dried my hair like I was a wet dog. It didn't seem like they have any training on how to handle hair. Then they blew it dry for 2 minutes without using a brush and slathered half a bottle of serum on. Never showed us our scalp health before or after. We left with a wet greasy mop, and far less hair than we started with. Washed my hair twice the next day and it stills smells like whatever oils they used. I can already tell they caused so much breakage in my hair. Just trust me, this is not worth your money (and in no world is it worth $90 + tip, they also stand over you at the end and ask out loud how much you plan to tip). They do use quality products, They do condition it with a treatment, they do give you a towel wrap for the top half of your body so you don't get your clothes wet, they do dry your hair (dyson dryer) afterwards and you do get a shoulder, arms, and light "top of sheet" leg massage as well! Well worth it. First time you get $5 off. I paid $130 for 90 minutes. 60 minutes is $90.
