I had a few issues with them. Always switching therapist. They all have a different way to do the same workout. WORST PART, they didn't notify me that my insurance covered visits were up. They kept scheduling more appointments even after I asked how many more do I have. They said 4. Well, that was wrong... I ended up having to come out of pocket another 163.71. I asked a couple times how could it go from $20 to over 100. No answer, but, they started tacking on late fee's. I will NEVER go there again. Nor will I recommend anyone. I've been in physical therapy off and on for over 6 months for two separate injuries. My most recent therapy is to my torn hamstring in the water program. I am unable to put weight on my left leg, but in water, I can handle my body weight a little. This program is helping me to get stronger while having no impact. The wonderful people who are on both sides of this facility deserve a 2 thunbs up. read more

Been coming here for almost 4 years for various issues (both knees, now shoulder.). The staff is wonderful. The aides working my therapy are friendly and knowledgable. When I have a question, there is always someone certified available to answer my questions. Jon is my therapist, and he listens and is clear with his explanations. The PTAs are always available to answer a question. Equipments and tables are cleaned and well kept. Scheduling has gotten easier with their new system. I was in the aquatics when I started, now on the land side. Both sides are great. read more

I just started my 3rd pool therapy session. Hannah is my main therapist, but Jenny and Noemi are just as great. These ladies are professional, completely knowledgeable in aquatic therapy, and they strive for a successful treatment for whatever is ailing you. These ladies make certain that each and every patient whom they work with achieves their undivided attention and care. I have had the very best treatment from Hannah, an excellent therapist who is dedicated to her profession and concern for each patient. She obtains a current evaluation of my progress, pain level, current health issues, and overall physical health. She measures my progress and thus determines where I have improved and what areas I need to work on. These ladies just don't throw you into the pool and leave you there to walk around for an hour. They give you a series of exercises meant to improve your condition and get you back on the road to a better life. I have been given the utmost care and the assistants have very good " bedside manners", very pleasant and show professionalism with a SMILE:) What I most enjoy about this facility is how they treat you: Each one of them Kang, Boris , and a couple of the other assistants ( sorry forgot their name, maybe Lane and Steph ) who assisted me were very warm and welcoming. I broke my wrist and needed PT for the first time. After my initial assesment I have had Lori Wade work with me on this long road to recovery. I absolutely adore her!!! We have great conversations which really helps during the harder parts of PT. You genuinely feel safe and welcome here. After my car accident, I was left with constant dizziness and balance issues due to my TBI. My UC Davis neurologist recommended vestibular therapy which is very hard to find in Modesto so we were lucky to find somewhere down here that offered it. After several sessions, I didn't feel any different, my dizziness and balance were just as bad. My next visit to my neurologist I reported back that there was no success and told him what they did and he said vestibular therapy is more than tandem walking and standing on 1 leg, a big part of vestibular therapy is eye movement. Don't claim you offer a special service and fail to follow through especially when dealing with something that greatly affects someone's life. read more

My doctor sent me to Anderson PT on referal for my mid back. I went the first time sat and explained my issue with a physical therapist about the pain just under my left shoulderblade at the spine. Then I was handed off to another person who had me do stretches, then gave me a massage on the pained area. I was sent home with the same stretches to do at home. I went back 2 more times and did the exact stretches I had done at home and received a massage of my mid back at the shoulder blade area. I came down with a cold and had to cancel two appointments. Just before I was going to go back, I received a bill for $565 . I called and asked why I got a bill when this was covered by my insurance. I was told it was denied that I had a workers comp claim on my lower back. I said yea. That was 5 years ago, and for the lower back, they were treating me for mid/upper back. I was told by Anderson billing that I needed to call my insurance company to clear it up. I did, and my insurance said all Anderson needed to do was change the code to show what body part the worked on. I explained this to anderson, and they refused! I called my referring doctor, and he stated he put in the code for the closest area. That fell under the lower back, but he included, it was not workers comp related. Again, I called insurance and was told, "All they have to do is change the billing code, but good luck, they probably won't because they get more $ if they leave it" and insurance was right. I got stuck with a $565 bill next step IS TO FILE COMPLAINTS WITH, BBB,CDA, APTA AND THE fSBPT. I I recommend every complainant do the same. read more

I had trouble walking when I first went and chose Phil Anderson because of his awesome reputation. When I checked his credentials I learned he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stanford University in the medical sciences, and since he must be in his sixties, he has a lot of experience under his belt He listens, is kind, thoughtful and practical as is his wonderful staff. His space is also spotlessly clean. We have recommended him to several friends who all have had amazing results. He cares greatly about his practice which is very evident in how he handles his patients. This man and his team are not light weights. I can now walk up to five miles a day and am sporting seventy-six years of age. Thank you Phil Anderson and amazing team for giving me my life back. read more

I'm having a hard time walking, because of a recently diagnosed bursitis in my hip. I'm grateful to have been evaluated by Jon at Andersen Physical Therapy, 1917 Coffee Road, in Modesto. He set up a program for speedy and steady improvement. I felt near tears because of pain on my first visit, and I am grateful we started the treatment that day. We also are working on my balance issues, to prevent any further falls. The at-home portion of my program is really beneficial and has been aided by take home hand-outs. These include photos and written instructions. Kayla is my PTA at the pool. She's encouraging and cheerful, always professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Kayla is so kind, and able to overcome my hearing deficit by repeating instructions patiently. The underwater treadmill at Andersen PT has been the most important aspect of my therapy and has really served to get me moving again. I'm sleeping so much better at night and I know this helps me heal even faster. I also am grateful for Laurie in the front office. Her guidance, coupled with a sweet smile and sense of humor, have kept me willing to work through this tough time. Andersens Physical Therapy is amazing. They are highly skilled and professional the care I was given was top notch. At first I was afraid they were going to hurt me but fortunately that never happen they don't have you doing anything you can't handle. The home excercises were very helpful and still are. My therapy was for my shoulder and two broken arms. Therapy started while I was still healing day by day week by week I regained almost everything I could do before. They genuinely want to do a good job and take care of your body. I cannot recommend Andersens highly enough and I let everyone I know what a superb experience I had. This was my first injury that required Physical Therapy. I had a distal bicep tendon tear, it was very painful and I was nervous about my recovery. Andersen Physical Therapy helped me work through my injury and any nervousness I had was gone the minute I met PT Jolene Anderson. Her knowledge and calming demeanor immediately put me at ease. God forbid something like this happens again I would request her for sure. I cannot stress enough how awesome she is. I have been here about 4 times for hand therapy due to a military injury years ago (2006). The VA approved my therapy here so it's fortunate that I don't have to come out of pocket. It's a little drive from my house (45 minutes) so not terribly convenient but nonetheless, it is closer than Palo Alto. The facility is clean and well staffed although the front desk staff have mixed reviews from me (maybe 3.5 stars) because they aren't always the friendliest or most organized. How can you not know where my paperwork is when I have an appointment and you are telling me I need to fill out more paperwork and yet, you have no idea where some of my paperwork? That is just poor customer service but ... My 5 star review is for the physical therapists - they are alway pleasant if not cheerful and kind. They are patient (even when I've been a few minutes late and never make me feel rushed. They take their time to ask me questions and address what problems or pain I might be having. I don't remember their names but I've worked with 3 of them and they have all been nothing short of helpful, professional and courteous. I would come back here again if needed. My pain in my hand has subsided a little and functionality improved slightly due to their help and therapy so they know their job. I never felt like they were just trying to rush me through which I have experienced at other locations. read more

The aquatic physical therapy there is amazing, Lauren and Ashley are very professional, friendly, and devoted to there job! They create a fun atmosphere and provide excellent care! I've never done the regular physical therapy there but I would highly recommend the aquatic physical therapy in the pool! After having a 3rd and major shoulder reconstruction surgery i needed to find someone who specialized with shoulders. John Anderson is the guy you want to see if you are healing from a surgery. He knows what he is doing and wont over do it. Without him and Anderson Physical Therapy i wouldnt be where i am now. i am very greatful for his help and the help of all his assistants. Everyone in there will know you by name even if they dont work with you, which also makes it nice. This is a great family business that knows what theyre doing. Went to occupational therapy with Jolene and her team after a fracture wrist. I was non weight bearing for two months and had a lot of swelling and very little movement in my fingers and wrist. Jolene and her team worked so well together. everyone knew their part of Rehab extremely well. the techs paid great attention to detail helping me through my exercise, the therapist had great hands on manual skills and progressed me every visit. I improved with every visit. 10 weeks after my fracture I am full weight bearing, have very little swelling and almost all my range of motion has been recovered. Had to wait 3 weeks for the first appointment. Then when I get there I have to wait 20 minutes until the owner gets done socializing with people before he finally sees me. While we talk he tells me he hates people that steal things. The second visit the forget about me in a room for an hour. Yeah, real professional. So I told them I wasn't coming back and I don't want to see a bill from them for wasting my time. Yesterday I get a bill in the mail. The owner who told me he hates people who steal things is now trying to take from me. I'm in pain and this man wasted my time and now he wants my money. Had appointment at 830. I arrived at 815 filled out paperwork and was called in at 830 exactly. Friendly front desk staff. The 2 Hispanic male gentlemen who evaluated my father were friendly as well. Unfortunately they don't have the equipment needed for my fathers condition which is stroke and cant walk. The place is like new and very modern furnished with lots of equipment. Lyle was helpful and told me to look for a place that specialized in stroke equipment and referred me to 2 other places. read more
