The wait time is horrendous! There needs to be a better way to communicate with and process patients.

She said, "we don't treat the ribs." So I said, "okay well maybe it's my spine that's causing all the pain," She says, "we don't treat the spine." I said, "are you the medical professional?" She says no, she's not the medical professional but apparently working for a medical professional long enough qualifies you to just know whether the specialist is going to find anything wrong with you. My spouse has worked on an oil rig for 20+ years so I guess you could say I'm somewhat of an oilfield expert. y'know since we're now gaining our experience based on the people we're in close proximity to. ‍ Wow!! I'm so glad I got that referral to see that bone specialist so he could evaluate me and see if it's any of my joints or bones THAT HE DOES TREAT that might be causing all this pain. Thanks "medical professional" Heidi M who has magical powers allowing her to evaluate so quickly and easily diagnose and rule out the need to see her doctor right there over the phone in just a few minutes. Needless to say, she did not allow me to schedule to see her Dr. She knows best because she has been his assistant for many years.

The waiting area was very crowded, and because all of the available seating was taken, we were standing in an open area where there seemed to be enough room for everyone to move around comfortably. At one point, a staff member, who I assume was the chiropractor based on the room he came out of said, "Excuse me." We immediately stepped aside to give him space. However, he then spoke to us in what came across as a very rude and dismissive tone, saying something along the lines of, "Can you guys like move out of the way, like move away from here? This is our workspace. Give us room." We were not being disruptive or disrespectful, and we would have gladly moved if asked politely. The issue was not the request itself, it was the way it was delivered. Customer service and professionalism matter, especially in a healthcare setting where patients and their families should feel welcome and respected. I understand that staff need access to their work areas, but there are courteous ways to communicate that. A simple, polite explanation would have accomplished the same thing without making us feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Unfortunately, this interaction left a negative impression of the office.

From patient care, to their daily duties. It was nice with no TVs on in the waiting areas this time. While I wish I could skip the check in process, I know that the consistency in application helps the staff and the patient. The only thing I could recommend is that they make so minor repairs to a few things, like the blinds and the restroom could use some repairs.

My real issue is with their billing and customer service. Its bottom of the barrel, at best. They charged me extra for a calcium scan a month after the test was completed as I paid cash for the test at time of scanning. Then as I called to schedule another MRI I requested this small balance be removed as it really was a silly billing error on their part and they denied it. They refused to let me talk to a supervisor and said they have NEVER ever credited any amount to any customer so they wouldnt be starting with me. Obviously that was a silly lie but they really held to it. I stated that this MRI would be $500 to $2000 of revenue for THEM and crediting $7 would be good faith to me and that I would keep the appnt. They refused. Scheduling refused. Customer service refused over the phone, over chat, over portal requests. So I cancelled the MRI and will go to kern rad. I wont be back. They lost my business and my family's business and I will tell anyone who will listen to go anywhere but quest. Adventist Health is getting very big and very uncaring about its customers. And to be given an option to credit $7 of bad faith billing in order to secure an MRI appnt that was already made and scheduled to be scanned that week is atrocious business practices. Your shareholders should be ashamed.
