I have been a patient here for many years. All i can say is that both her and the PA are amazing. Never have i felt so heard and cared for by a doctor. The only semi negative thing i can say is that you should expect a wait regardless of your appointment time. This is because they spend a lot of time with each patient going over the visit. I always leave feeling heard at this doctors office as they take time to actually listen to what is going on and discuss treatment options. After seeing 4 specialist who tested me and then offer me no help. They did their tests and all were normal. They did not investigate further and offer no help. Dr Del Toro-Diaz was determined to find out what was wrong. Within two weeks after I saw her, she diagnosed what was wrong and treated it. After 9 months of being sick I was back to normal. She gave me my life back. I am so grateful and wish I could give her more than 5 stars. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. This office has absolutely no respect for your time. Not everyone can just take the whole day off to have a simple check up. The last 4 times I've been here, it's taken over an hour past my appt time to get into the back. Once in the back, another 45 mins to an hour. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I came in today to see the PA, Scott Buis, because Dr DtD is out on maternity leave. I was really impressed. This man is a listener! I'm sure he had other patients, but he made me feel like my concerns were his, and that he really wanted to know what I am feeling. He was patient & thorough, and he made me feel valued and respected. Not a big fan of going to doctors, but as I get older I suppose I need to get used to it. I'd had a scheduled appointment for 3 weeks and waited almost 2 hrs for my appointment. I checked in 3 times, the first at half an hour- at which point they told me I was next, an hour at which point they told me I was next. I was called into the office at an hour and fifteen minutes. At an hour and a half- at which point I had been sitting in a room for 20 minutes, they said I was next. At over an hour and 45 minutes I finally left. Dr. Del Torro Diaz has a good bedside manner, but the office has little care or respect for patience time. They should have notified me of a delay- at ANY point that day and rescheduled. I would have totally appreciated that as I had an incredibly full day and due to having only one car my husband had to take time off work to take me in the first place. Dr Deltoro-Diaz has been my dr for a few years now. I cannot say enough regarding the outstanding care I receive from her. I appreciate her approach to good health - nutrition and exercise. She practices what she preaches. I am the healthiest I have ever been as an adult. She addresses all of my concerns. The wait time can be very long. I think perhaps too many patients are scheduled each day. However, I have complete trust in Dr Deltoro-Diaz to have my best interest at heart. read more

I've been searching high & low for a highly recommended Family Doctor. I have not had the best experiences here in town & therefore decided that I would not settle for just any doctor, we work hard for our money & work just as hard to have quality insurance & therefore deserve quality health care. Today was my first experience seeing this doctor as a new patient. I was a bit nervous due to some negative reviews on here. I can say that based on my experience today, this entire office has made significant improvements compared to the reviews left for this office before. The front office staff was efficient, friendly & helpful. The doctor herself was amazing, she was courteous, very professional, a great listener & extremely knowledgeable. She is hands down the best Dr in town. Yes there will be a wait because she gives all patients her undivided attention. I know when my children and i have appts with her i block off a few hours just in case she gets behind. If i came in with a serious concern and needed a few extra minutes of her time I know she would stay with me until i was assured she had a plan for my future health care. Dr. Christina has been my doctor for three years. Thankfully I did not pay much attention to the review comments regarding wait time or occasional miscommunication with her staff. We all make mistakes and they do the best they can with the numerous situations they encounter each day. They've been great with me. Having said that, Dr. Christina is very friendly and actually seems to care about your health problems. If you have an issue she takes the time to help you understand the situation and explains what course of action is to follow. Twice she has recommended I stop taking certain drugs when recent medical studies indicate the medications can be harmful. I appreciate her looking out for my best interest. Also, she is of the opinion there are other ways to "fix" a medical problem rather than more drugs. She is well versed in herbs, supplements and nutrition. She is a wonderful doctor and has a wonderful staff but everyone gets stressed at times. I for one don't hold that against anyone until it becomes routine. Good Luck Rocky read more

Nice doctor, good bedside manner, but absolutely no respect for your time. It takes forever to get an appointment then once you have an appointment it takes 90 minutes for her to come see you for 5 minutes. I get that doctors are busy, but the time management here could really be better. read more

I am appalled by the time management at this doctor's office. I was a patient over five years ago and stopped going after being asked to wait over an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment. I eventually left and never returned however my family members have continued to come here to avoid having to find a new family practitioner. I wish I could report that they have good experiences here since, however with each appointment they are complaining of long wait times, incorrect lab/radiology orders being inputted, and little time with the doctor. The lack of respect for their patients' time is inexcusable and extremely inappropriate. If I showed up over an hour late for my appointment, I would be asked to reschedule and more than likely charged for missing my appointment. Why is the same level of accountability not being upheld by the office itself? The doctor herself is a good doctor and very personable. However, being asked to wait in excess beyond a scheduled appointment is a problem that begs for a solution. I hope this office finds resolution for this issue soon. Dr. Del Torro-Diaz is the BEST and she is the only one I trust with my daughter. She TAKES HER TIME, is very professional and you never feel like a number. The staff is so rude. I actually like Dr. Diaz, but I can't handle how rude her girls are! When you call, they are very short, cut you off in mid sentence. Just flat out rude.! I made an appointment almost 3 months in advance. I gave them my insurance and they said they were taking new patients. I took a day off from work for my appointment. After I arrived, I was completing the paperwork. The receptionist called me back to the counter to tell me they don't take my insurance. I have Blue Shield Silver 70 PPO through Covered California. I have worked over 40 years and after my last insurance decided to terminate, they advise you to apply for Covered California. I qualified! Yay, it's about time I qualified for a program that I have paid into for many, many years. I am a 57 year old female. I am healthy. I just needed to find a PPO. This Dr. was on my Blue Shield list as accepting new patients. I asked why they don't accept this insurance and the receptionist said they only accept some that they've had before?? Whatever does that mean??!! I told her I've waited and how much does a visit cost, so I could pay out of network if that was the case. She said they don't take cash patients. So, if I was standing there with a million dollars, I guess they still wouldn't see me. Honestly, I bathed, dressed well and brushed my teeth prior to my appointment!! Was I not carrying a designer bag or wearing designer clothing?? Was my skin not the right color?? I told her they are discriminating. By this time, I am almost in tears. Humiliated and upset for taking a day off of work. She then said she could go ask....ask who? The Dr. who teaches her employees to discriminate?? No thank you! I gathered my paperwork and left. I returned home and called Blue Shield. They contacted the Dr.'s office to explain to them that I am covered as I held on the other line. They verified that they pay this Dr. the same as if I wasn't on Covered California. They gave Blue Shield the runaround and said that the Office Manager wouldn't be in until Wednesday or Thursday (my appointment was on a Monday). I filed a grievance with Blue Shield against this Dr. The following Monday I received a voicemail from "Sally"? stating that Dr. will accept me as a new patient and if I wanted to schedule then to call. Seriously?! No explanation or apology has ever been received via mail or message. I am no longer comfortable even setting foot into this Dr.'s office. Especially after reading these reviews. I have never had an experience such as this with a Dr. I am sorry for anyone who has had a similar experience. read more
