Here are the facts: my car was parked alongside the grass that was mowed by the Wimberg team. My car was intact prior to arriving at my mother's - a little before 9am. She lives on a side street in Hyde Park, so not a high traffic area at all. It was a Wednesday morning. The Wimberg mowing team arrived shorty after I got to my mother's to mow the front lawn - both by the street and the house. After the team left, my car window was shattered with a long scratch along the side of my car. As shown, something was dragged along my car to create the scratch across my side car. This was the side right next to the lawn that was mowed. I asked the Wimberg team to do the right thing. I understand accidents happen, but I was refused. I filed a police report as well. The police noted this did not seem like a random break in as nothing was taken from the inside. Just hope it doesn't happen to anyone else getting serviced by them. As a company, you have the choice to do the right thing even when no one is watching. That's how an ethical business should be run.

Had a couple of water spots inside the house with a roof less than 10 years old…read more Showed the sales rep the 2 small spots with water damage and he immediately starting talking about how he could work with my insurance carrier for an entire new roof before he even set foot on the roof. I reminded him of the age of the roof and stated I was interested in a repair quote and not a new roof. He then went on the roof for about 5 minutes, came down and again only wanted to present how he could work with insurance to get me a new roof. What the guy didn't know was I like to get 3 quotes for any major home repair and the other 2 roofers both had told me earlier that day that I had some minor flashing issues and a bad caulking job at a "J" grove and they'd be able to address everything for less than $500. With that knowledge already in hand I politely told the estimator that since his only interest was installing a whole new roof (which would have resulted in a deductible and increased rates for me) that he could take off and not even bother quoting. If you want too needlessly spend your money on a whole new roof when a simple repair addresses the problem these are your guys. Otherwise look somewhere else.

With the recent ice storm, I had water coming in the basement and noticed water damage to the wall in our kitchen near the chimney. I reached out to the company with little to no communication in return...only a call that they would send someone out. When reaching out again, 4 days later, I was told they took care of the problem by caulking around the chimney. In the mean time, I had reached out to another company who came out to provide a bid. This company said there was no caulk added and the day they came out a couple of guys were on my roof improperly changing the flashing....without communication to me. When I pulled in my driveway that day these two men were still on my roof, they did not speak any English so I could not really communicate with them. I asked them which company they were with and the one gentleman had to make a phone call because he wasn't sure. When he hung up he said Eagleye....this was very concerning to me! I explained I was going to have another company complete the work due to the terrible workmanship in 2020 and the unprofessional behavior of Anthony Hawkins. In speaking to Anthony "Tony" Hawkins he was extremely dismissive of the situation and condescending. Due to the unprofessional demeanor of Mr. Hawkins I do not feel safe or confident in the work they should be doing to address the property damage inside of my home due to the leak so I am left with quite the dilemma....legal action or not? Hopefully no one else has an experience like this. I would definitely consider a different roofing company.

I had roots growing in my pipes and instead of paying another company $7000 to replace the broken pipe at the elbow that allowed the roots to grow in and cause back-ups, he suggested sewer lining, which is supposed to cover all the cracks in old pipes. The quote was $4500 to line 30 feet from the basement out to the end of the yard. There was no mention that the liner can't cover pipe elbows! It was nothing but a disaster! When Darryl attempted to do the job, the 1st thing to happen was the liner got stuck in the pipe, under the basement floor! He had to break open the floor cement to pull it out! He was forced to replace that pipe and redo the floor cement! Then it happened 2 more times! It turned out my pipes were 4 inches and they only had 6 inch liners. Halpin refused to get 4 inch liners! Finally after weeks later, getting the liner in place and supposedly the job was done, my pipes continued to have issues of a back-up on the basement floor! In the meantime, Darryl left the company! I can only imagine why! Each time this happened, I called to complain and they came out and said I had root problems and snaked it to clear it! Each time I asked why I had roots after they lined the pipe, they claimed they told me the liner could not line in an elbow and that's where the roots were! I argued with them that I was never told that but they claimed it was my problem and not under warranty anymore! I told them that from the beginning, I knew the roots were in the elbow and that's what the original job was supposed to fix! I knew because the other company showed me on the video during their $7000 quote! Darryl never told me that the liner would not cover the elbow even though I made a point of telling him that's where the problem was! There's nothing in my quote, either! It says a full 30 feet will be lined! The last guy that came tried to charge me to snake it and I refused! He said he wouldn't charge me that time but anytime in the future, they would! That's 5 yrs ago! I've had back-ups, twice a year since! I've had to call a different plumber each time (Because I refuse to give Halpin another dime) and for the last year have been getting root killer to help! AS A RESULT, ALL PAPER HAS TO BE PUT IN THE TRASH CAN! CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR DIRTY TOILET PAPER ALWAYS IN THE TRASH!?
