If you like waiting, Dr. Anderson is for you! My very first (new patient) visit, I sat in the exam room for over an hour. The second visit was 40 minutes. Tried one more time this morning and waited over 30 minutes and went to check, and was told the Dr. wasn't even there yet. Very poor practice management and no consideration for his patients. He tested me for neuropathy then tried to sell me a $700.00 tense unit to place in water to ease my pains and needles I have been having in my feet. My insurance did not cover this device. I went to another doctor to get a second opinion and he ordered a CT Scan which showed a pinched nerve. So I asked for a copy of my records for Dr James Patterson from his testing (it consist of electrons & uncomfortable shocks) only to find that it showed zero neuropathy at all!!! He was wanting to sell me equipment for something I didn't even have! CROOK!!!!! read more

As with the reviews on him and his staff on Yahoo, all of us have a common thread...his staff is rude, not helpful, my husband needs medication and they made weak excuses for not giving him what he needed, wrote illegible prescriptions, then wouldn't return the pharmacies calls to verify so prescriptions were never filled. We both waited for hours for both our appointments, having to miss so much time from work. The staff was dismissive when you would say the wait was too long, one actually said to me, to get in line with all the other angry patients. I would never, ever go there again and certainly not recommend them. read more

This neurologist was an idiot. I have never been so upset in my life. He never gave me a final answer as to WHAT was causing my seizures, I have ZERO idea what ended up in my medical records because the minute I ran out of insurance, he stopped seeing me. I live in Clarksville, Tennessee and the office would sort of re-locate to my city twice a week (until approx. 2 in the afternoon). I paid hundreds of dollars for the tests that I had to have at the hospital, along with the TWO sleep studies performed. I am a 27 year old female with bipolar disorder, PTSD and SEZIURES THAT NO ONE CAN TELL ME ABOUT (just the seizure part, I have a wonderful psychiatrist); in addition, I am trying to get on disability and they can't even get my MEDICAL RECORDS FROM DR. ANDERSON'S OFFICE. I still have my $80 bill to pay there (when my insurance was dropped and I was willing to pay but, they gave me my lamictal 'scip and NEVER SCHEDULED ME ANOTHER APPOINTMENT!!!)(plus, speaking to an ACTUAL HUMAN BEING when you call his office is virtually impossible). This man basically milked me for my insurance and then dropped me once he thought he couldn't make any more money off of me. Please, anyone, everyone... DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT! And, if at all possible, don't include his office in afore-mentioned research. I certainly hope this helps someone! read more

Where do I start. I arrived early, filled out the paperwork, and was brought back to a room relatively quickly. My teenage daughter accompanied me since I had been having dizzy spells. The building itself is horrifically old. The exam table was thin and unstable. There was some strange desk thing attached to the wall that was falling down. There was no sink for the provider to wash his hands. After waiting over an hour, the doctor finally comes in and I have no idea if he has cleaned his hands. This is where it gets strange. The doctor begins to look at my record and realizes his nurse forgot to take my blood pressure and heart rate. He storms out of the room and asks her, very loudly, if the cuff was broken. She reassures him that it wasn't and he returns to the room, where he takes my BP and HR. While he is doing this, he mutters under his breath "No one knows how to work around here so I guess I will do it". He finishes and then asks me the typical questions about my symptoms. The next thing I know he leaves the room and comes back with a black old school looking doctor's bag. He starts pulling out all these instruments and places them next to me. He grabs the first one and LITERALLY begins singing to me like I am a five year old patient. "We are going to check this and la la la does this hurt. Can youuuuuuuu feeeeel this?" This went on for about five mins while he rotates through his arsenal of tools. My daughter and I are completely shocked and, to be honest, a little scared. Then the doctor asks me to walk heel to toe and then asks me to sit down. Without warning he grabs my ankle, pulls me down in the chair, and raises my leg above my head. My knee was almost touching my forehead. Truth be told, I am a larger woman and I am not flexible. He then asks me if that hurt, I said yes because of you and he drops that leg quickly grabbing the other one to repeat the lift. I almost fall out of my chair. I am holding on trying to avoid falling and pulling a muscle because he was being so aggressive. At this point, I get irritated and tell him to drop my leg, which he does. Then he walks out of his office and literally answers a phone call from what I would assume to be his significant other, where they talk about dinner. There is no conversation with me about a possible diagnosis or testing at this point. My daughter and I just sit there trying to grasp what just happened. I decide it may be best to leave and as I get up, the doctor rushes back into the room with several forms requesting $1000's of dollars worth of testing and tells me I have a sleep disorder, which he did not evaluate me for and i have never had a sleep test in my life. I told him that the appointment was over and walked to the front desk to check out. I told the nurse we would not be back and to not contact me, which they did several days later to schedule the testing. I have never seen such a irresponsible, erratic, and unprofessional doctor and practice. I found a new, professional neurologist and have had excellent treatment. read more

The staff was very rude. The nurse and the doc both seemed to be racing the clock and not care about the patient at all. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place! read more

I gave him a 2 because as a Doctor he is better than the other neurologist in my area that takes Amerigroup. In fact, as a Doctor I don't have a problem with him or Susan Bracey. However, we finally found a medication that works on my migraines and symptoms after almost 30 years of migraines and 4 years of migraines so bad that I have to go on disability due to neurological damage. This would be great news and he would be getting 5 stars except that his pre-authorization person, Kenyatta, refuses to call the number and ask for the pre-authorization (and that number never has a hold time). She just keeps faxing my medical records somewhere and not even calling to verify that she's faxing it to the right number (because if she did call to verify the number it would only take an extra second to ask for the pre-authorization. Kenyatta demanded that I call the pre-authorizaiton number myself and find out what the hold up was and I did (3 times) then she accused me of being rude and disrespectful when I told her that they weren't getting the faxes and asked her to call them instead. I have left messages for Susan Bracey and Dr Anderson and neither of them care even though the neurological problems are getting so bad that I can't walk right and keep twisting my ankles and walking into door frames. read more
