Went to Anderson's on Monday AM as my grandmother had passed away over the weekend and need 2 sprays for 2pm that day on behalf of my grandad as well as all of the grandkids. Paul and Eugenie were extremely great to work with. I needed to modify one of the arrangements they had on their website to include her favorite colors and they did such a beautiful job! I will recommend them to anyone that needs flowers in the Verona area in a heartbeat! Ordered Some flowers from them to get the delivered the same day and i can not say how great the service was. I called before i ordered and the gentleman i spoke to was very nice and advise me once the order was placed it would be delivered before 2. I am very anxious and called again and another guy answered and checked if they were being delivered and it was on its way. I ordered an arrangement that was supposed to be red, white and blue flowers. He didn't tell me at the time that fulfilling the blue flower request would be a problem. The flowers were red white and purple and the arrangement itself looked extremely cheap. It was a bunch of daisies I could have probably bought at the supermarket for $15. No stars. I live in Florida and specifically called a local flower store to deliver birthday flowers. I talked at length with Paul and finally settled on long stemmed sun flowers in a tall vase. An arrangement of flowers was sent that I could have ordered online from 1-800-flowers. When I called in the morning to find out what happened I was told that is what I ordered and he remembered the conversation perfectly. He did not remember the conversation accurately and when voices got raised, I said goodbye and hung up. The flowers were beautiful, but NOT what I ordered and they argued with me, so there is no guarantee because it's he said versus she said. Horrible experience. Next time, I will not take the time and effort to do business with a small local business like Anderson Flowers. read more

I ordered a floral bouquet for someone's 90th birthday. I asked if they delivered, and the answer was yes. Since this was in Montclair, and the delivery was to go to Glen Ridge, I was surprised that I was charged $8.00 for delivery. That being said, the "bouquet" was small, and the flowers were way passed their peak. I called, and they offered to replace the flowers two days later (the delivery was on a Saturday, so the replacement was made on Monday). To say the least, the replacement wasn't much better. While the flowers were brighter colors, and appeared to be fresher, the bouquet was small. They also asked for the original flowers back. I paid a total of $61.84 -- $50.00 for the flowers, not including tax and delivery charge for something I could have purchased from the supermarket for $15.00. Very disappointing. read more

The process started off on the right foot. I ordered them online and had to change the delivery address last minute b/c my GF worked from home that day. They were eager and very helpful to accommodate me. I ordered the Vibrant Shine arrangement online which includes Orange Lillie's, Pink Roses, Gerbera Daisies and Orange Tulips. When they were delivered and my GF sent me the pic I could immediately notice they did not resemble what I ordered online. The flowers she received did not contain any lilies and also contained yellow and not pink roses. I called Anderson's and they told me they used Yellow because that's what they had. They said they put lilies in the arrangement but they are not there. He then asks "What would you like me to do"? I would not recommend this local florist. Not the best way to run a business or gain new customers. read more

It started out great - super friendly on the phone. I needed a same day delivery to the local hospital. The delivery got there on the same day. I ordered a dozen yellow roses. You are a flower shop - a little creativity please. They were not arranged - shaped - cut - basically I counted 11 (in the picture my friend sent) but when I called the owner they assured me there were 12 roses. Not impressed - 12 roses stuck in a jar. Really disappointed would not recommend. read more

My mother recently passed away and the name of Anderson's Flowers was given to me. I spoke to one of the owners, Paul Theobald to discuss the type of flower arrangements I would like. I explained that I preferred white flowers with lavender touches and specifically requested hydrageas and peonys be included with absolutely no carnations whatsoever. When I arrived at the funeral home, the arrangements did not have either of the flowers I requested, but did include pinks which is a type of carnation. I immediately called and spoke to Paul again and expressed my disappoinment that the arrangements were different than ordered. He explained that they were unable to get my requested flowers. However, I never received any follow-call to advise me so that I may consider other options. Paul became rude, defensive and lacked any social graces that you might expect when he knew I had just lost a loved one My niece held a lunch after the funeral and she ordered her flowers through Bartletts on Grove Street for the tables. They were stunningly arranged and included everything Andersons was unable to provide. I strongly urge people who might be considering Anderson's Flowers to look elsewhere. Look for someplace that offers real customer service. read more

I was trying to order flowers from overseas. I looked at reviews for 1800 flowers and other sites, and the comments really made me worried about spending my money there. I decided to try to find an actual store myself, and decided to try Anderson's. The site was easy to use, I found what I wanted, and the check out process and everything was simple. I got the right amount of emails (order confirmation, delivery confirmation), and while I never got to see the flowers in person, the reaction they created and the pictures seem to suggest they did a great job. my elderly mother wasn't able to put up her tree this year so instead I ordered a Christmas arrangement and upgraded to the(very expensive) deluxe. the picture showed a sculpted arrangement shaped like an actual Christmas tree beautifully decorated. what was delivered was something that looked like a stubby potted plant sparsely decorated. I was totally disappointed and underwhelmed. I spent a lot of money and wouldn't do it again. no more of my business not worth it read more
