Number one is the manager's hostile attitude. She likes ordering people around. Number two is the two week wait for your deposit to be returned, by mail. Has to be approved in North Carolina or Florida one of those other southern states. Bad way to start my day. read more

For Bloomington store: I went to Anderson's to discuss a practical problem regarding a bedridden patient. I got an earful of advice based on the staff member's own experience with a family member. The next day I received a call from Adult Protective Services regarding my situation. After a twenty minute conversation, APS concluded that there were no grounds for an in-depth investigation. I can't prove that the Anderson person reported me, but I didn't discuss the problem with anyone else that day. I would be extremely cautious about sharing any personal information with the staff at Anderson's. read more

I came in with my sister who was given a feeding tube and released from the hospital. We were warmly greeted and given great help, even shown how to use the items. Very affordable and had everything we needed. read more

Aging parents lead me to Anderson Medical today for ask a few quick questions about bars for showers and ramps. With not many options in Terre Haute for retail medical products, I found Anderson to be OK. Clearly a big and busy operation, but Drew found me on the retail floor quickly and asked if I needed assistance. He was quick to point out options and detailed in explaining what Anderson Medical can supply and what they cannot. I left with a better understanding of ramp options and he guided me to speak further with their shop on another date. read more

For Bloomington store: I came in today after my podiatrist appointment to get compression socks for a flight I am taking with a minor heel injury. I was looking for cheap socks and didn't want to spend much time in the store. The woman working the front was willing to spend 45+ minutes with me to get me fitted for socks. Upon learning that I didn't need the most expensive socks, she got me exactly what I needed. Cheap compression socks. She even gave me a lesson on how to put them on. She curtailed my experience to exactly what I needed. Great experience, I would highly recommend Anderson's Medical Products. read more

went in 3 weeks ago with everything needed for a wheelchair for my mother. Her prescription, her insurance and all the other things needed. They told me that it would take 3 to 4 weeks for her insurance to ok the wheelchair. That was far to long since she had fallen with crutches less that 6 months before and broken a wrist. So I paid the money to rent it plus the deposit nearly coming to 200 dollars. Called today and they have all my info that I had rented one, but had lost all of her insurance info and prescription! She had surgery today! So they were quick to take my money, but it was their damned job to process the prescription and insurance. Which they hadn't done any of their job She had knee surgery 6 months ago and came home on crutches. Two days on crutches she fell and broke her wrist.. She then fell a month ago and I took her to the doctor who wrote the prescription for the wheelchair her knee was so bad it was swollen and she had been on blood thinners. I am livid. They are going to want to charge me another month on the 13th unless we return it.... and they haven't done anything to get her free one approved. read more

I have been a customer at Anderson's for year. I have asked them to meet me after hours twice. today being one of those days. When I talk to the On Call lady she said should have someone call me back. David Anderson called me back and argued with me about fixing my son's nebulizer. All while he could hear my son coughing in the back ground struggling to breathe. I do not recommend this company to anyone. He was going to charge me $75 to bring me a mouthpiece for the nebulizer as a service call. Customer service sucks! read more

Customer service lacking. I was in the store today to see about an item for my mother. No one would even talk to me. It would have been nice to at least be greeted, asked if there was something I was looking for, told someone would assist me shortly, or they would find someone to help me...something. I left after I felt my presence was an nuisance to them and found the item online for cheaper. read more

It's hard for me to imagine not getting great service from Anderson's. I have been in a few times over the past few years and had nothing but positive experiences. I'm a science teacher and once was there for syringes (not needles) for lab we were doing in class and they were very kind and patient for few dollar sale. I later got walking devices and wheel chair for family members over a few visits. They were fantastic! I had a prescription for a wheelchair that would have cost a lot over the years if leased/rented. They brought up a "used" but virtually new wheel chair that we outright bought saving my dad hundreds if not thousands over the next few years. At worst you might say they have a lean staff, but that's somewhat necessary with a knowledgeable and professional staff and have a profitable business. I have to wait in line to get a coffee and buy groceries too. I wait far longer at the doctor's office ,too, for professional advice. Thanks for everything Anderson's! My mobility scooter stopped working while we were at a campground in Illinois. We suspected a burned-out drive motor. After calling almost everywhere in Illinois (I avoided Chicago) I found Anderson. They were GREAT. I got an almost immediate appointment and quick diagnosis. It was the motor. They found one that could be overnighted out and had me back on my scooter in just a couple days. Rude employees. Ridiculous prices. If you're young and pretty you may have a different review. I watched that first hand. Ridiculous ! I have been there several times recently for equipment for myself, a friend and elderly parents. I've never seen worse customer service and such rude staff. I called in advance to verify they carried the lead wires for my brand of TENS unit. I was assured they did, but they required A PRESCRIPTION for them. Ridiculous, but I needed them ASAP and wasn't going to argue. Two days later when my doctor's office was open they faxed the prescription in. I came to pick them up and sure enough they didn't fit my brand of TENS unit. I could have ordered them online and opted for overnight shipping, but tomorrow is a holiday. We live in a small town so they can afford to be sub-par since there's very little options for people in this area. This is my family's third negative experience with them. From here on out I will ONLY order online. They will never get my business again. read more

on 6/172021 I called ahead to insure that the prescription for my necessary medical supplies was up to date and they had what I needed in stock, I was and they did . When I get to the store I greeted by a very rude and unpleasant gentleman at the door. when I grew tired of his harrasment I asked that someone else take care of me. Never raised my voice, used any derogatory language or in any way threatened him or anyone else, my necessary items sat on the counter for another 20 minutes while I waited for someone to ring up my necessary items and allow me to go in peace. Instead a lady (mary ?) came from a back office and asked what my problem was. I told her that the gentleman was rude and uncooperative and her response no he is not and that I was barred from coming back in the store. This lady was not on the floor at any time , gave me no explanation as to why as is her right (yes I too manage a local business) so I left. Only explanation I can come to is that the gentleman was not white and it was assumed that the old white guy (me) was a racist . Dont care for being profiled and harrassed. I manage a local business where I deal folks of all colors, creeds and orientations for the last 25 years without any incidents of this sort. Not looking for sympathy but I am a cancer survivor 3 plus years so far and only mention to point out how serious this issue is for me. I have been purchasing my supplies from andersons for the last 3 years without any problems, so much for valued customers. read more

One star is to good for this company. My daughter was in a car accident. I called my insurance company and they said they will pay. I told the lady that deals with insurance she was very rude. She told me "they CHOOSE to not deal with car accidents because it takes to long to be reimbursed." Really..... My family has dealt with them for 3 generations. They will NEVER get another penny from this family. They make so little money that they can't wait for an $70 something check........ read more
