The streets were crowded and El apartamento seemed like a nice place for a meal. We arrived at 8:45 pm and were seated immediately. The menu had a lot of vegetarian options that sounded good - I went for the pumpkin bao buns and my friend the tofu burger. We decided to share the veggie croquettes. The croquettes arrived in less than five minutes. They were possibly the most boring vegetable croquettes I've ever had. My bao buns arrived 30 minutes later in a pretentious steamer basket. It was literally a few pieces of plain grilled (unseasoned) pumpkin in a seriously overcooked bao bun topped with blanched almonds. Completely flavorless and inedible. I took a bite and my friend took a bite and that was it. Horrible. Meanwhile, we were still waiting for the tofu burger. We waited for another half an hour before it arrived. The burger was edible but it was clearly a store-bought patty. The fries were good. The servers seemed confused and stressed, despite the place only being half full. Everything was SO slow and we just wanted to leave. The bill was about 25 euros. Way too expensive for terrible food and no drinks. In short: horrible food and bad service. El menú tenía muchas opciones vegetarianas que sonaban bien, fui por los bollos bao calabaza y mi amigo la hamburguesa de tofu. Decidimos compartir las croquetas de vegetales. Las croquetas llegaron en menos de cinco minutos. Posiblemente fueron las croquetas vegetales más aburridas que he tenido. Mis bollos bao calabaza llegaron 30 minutos más tarde en una canasta de vapor pretencioso. Fue literalmente un par de piezas de calabaza a la parrilla (sin fermentar) en un pan bao seriamente recocido cubierto con almendras blanqueadas. Completamente sin sabor y no comestible. Tomé un bocado y mi amigo tomó un bocado y eso fue todo. Horrible. Mientras tanto, estábamos esperando la hamburguesa de tofu. Esperamos media hora más antes de que llegara. La hamburguesa era comestible, pero era claramente una hamburguesa comprada en la tienda. Las papas fritas estaban buenas. Los servidores parecían confundidos y estresados, a pesar de que el lugar solo estaba medio lleno. Todo fue muy lento y solo queríamos salir. La factura fue de unos 25 euros. Demasiado caro para comida terrible y sin bebidas. En resumen: comida horrible y mal servicio. Nunca volveremos a este lugar y alentaremos activamente a nadie a que visite.

The dressing was very funky. Too eggy like it's just about to turn into mayo. I would like to come back and try something else. Everyone loved their food. It's definitely made for the Spanish, as someone ordered an alioli pasta. That's just gross. The spanish love their mayo! Yuk! The prices are very reasonable! Glass of wine is 2 euros. Not bad at all!

I didn't however, expect to find hot dogs on the menu. But I did, and I ordered one too. It wasn't a gigantic gluttonous hot dog that you'd see on some crazy food show back home, but the Secreto Iberico I ordered did come with tomato pesto, arugula and sheep cheese. Yummy! My mojito dessert was also unexpected and delicious. I love a good cocktail, but when you transfer the flavours into dessert style? I like you even more!
