We took our precious 18 year old precious cat, Sophie, to this clinic as she had been failing in the past few weeks. We experienced such tender, loving and compassionate care by all of the staff: Dr. Andrea N., Olivia, Gia, and Maria. We had to put our beloved Sophie down at this visit, yet am grateful that this was done here. We are still grieving, but want to highly recommend this clinic to any fellow dog and cat lovers. I love Dr Niggemeier and have been going here for years. Whoever answers the phone is miserable and unhelpful though.

I have been coming to Andorra (and the Mt. Airy location) for 20 years. As a lifelong dog owner and a professional pet caregiver, I have been to many of the other local vets. This place is by far the best around. The doctors are all excellent and the vet techs and other staff are all great. I genuinely enjoy bringing my pets for the annual visits and I am so grateful for their excellent care when my pets are sick. I gave Andorra the highest rating I could, because of Dr Andrea Niggemeier! ...Seventeen long years ago, my husband and I moved into a new neighborhood, and we were taking our dog and two cats to a veterinary hospital close by. One day after my husband took Our 13 year old dog, Velvet, for her annual exam, he said the Vet he had an appointment with wasn't there, but he just met the best Vet he had ever seen. So I made an appointment the following week for my orange tabby cat, Michael, with Dr Niggemeier~ and I left feeling the same way that my Husband did! ..Michael had recurring infections and was in ICU twice. But After Dr Niggemeier took over his care, Michael was fine (No more ICU)! . Reason being: She found out why he was running a temperature and getting sick so often. So once we knew this, we never had to rush Michael to the hospital again. And he lived to the ripe old age of 19! We are presently taking our 14 year old dog, Fiona, to Andorra to see Dr Niggemeier. Fiona has more than one age related problem. But she's doing much better than anyone expected her to do... I could go on and on, but those of you who take your cats and dogs to see Dr. Niggemeier know the level of care they are getting. Kent K has it completely right! You will not be treated well at this clinic! Let me paint a picture for you....The waiting room is small and cramped and when we first entered the facility, we were essentially ignored even after standing at the receptionist's desk for several minutes. Only after introducing myself and my pet was I told to have a seat and given paperwork to fill out. The reception/ancillary staff were curt and grouchy which is always a BIG turn off. The veterinarian was late to arrive, but was pleasant and answered all of our questions which was the only saving grace of the day. Unfortunately, the majority of our experience at this clinic was with the ancillary staff who can either make or break the environment. And yes, they broke it. The best part is, we decided to seek veterinary care elsewhere and at our first visit, a staff member from our new veterinary clinic called Andorra for our chihuahua's immunization records, and was denied!! She told us that the Andorra staff rudely stated that they would NOT forward records because we did not respond to an immunization reminder they sent out!!!! We now take him to St. George Hunt Memorial Veterinary Hospital in Wayne, PA and are thrilled with the entire team! Stay away from Andorra if you want to avoid unnecessary frustration!!! My mini poodle has been in Dr. Niggemeier's care since 8 weeks and he's been well taken care of! The staff is attentive, timely and compassionate. I'm a first time puppy owner, so my questions come in abundance and are sometimes not fully flushed out, however I feel heard, and I leave more informed each visit. My parents have been bringing their dogs here for my whole life, so it was a natural choice when I got my own dog to bring him there. We saw a few different docs at both locations when he was young and we were going a lot for regular checkups, and they were all incredibly warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. Since then, we've settled into seeing Dr Niggemeier consistently for his checkups, shots and more recently, a minor surgery to remove an unusual growth from his arm. Dr Niggemeier has been a great partner to work with as we tried to figure out what it was, came to agreement to remove it and patient with me as I decided whether to do a second biopsy. She always has my dog's best interest at heart, has a gentle hand, and a conservative approach. I recommend their practice to any other pet owner in the area. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Andorra for 15 plus years. The staff and doctors have always spent whatever time it took to answer all my questions and make sure my animals get a thorough check up. Their prices are reasonable and they do care about the cost of things and they try and give you an idea of price before they do any tests or procedures. I can't imagine taking my dogs to any other veterinary clinic. I have 2 special needs dogs now - one has a heart problem and the other has a hip problem and all options are discussed for me to make a decision about their care - they always try to avoid surgery if possible. I Love Dr. Niggemeier. She is very patient, knowledgeable and she takes the time to listen to my concerns and together we decide what is best for my dogs. I called here after having an AWFUL experience very close by, at another clinic. Andorra Veterinary Clinic was so kind and compassionate towards my cat and I. I can't thank them enough for helping us through a difficult time and figuring out what was going on with my cat. Dr. Niggemeier was fabulous, as well as the rest of the staff. At the other clinic, they were planning to sedate my cat to do a small procedure and acted as though that was the only option. Dr. Niggemeier and her staff were so kind and patient, making my cat feel comfortable to allow them to do the procedure without having her be sedated. Thank goodness I left the other place and found Andorra Veterinary Clinic. It was truly a blessing! read more

We have been bringing our pets to this clinic for over 15 years, and have had wonderful experiences. Most recently, we've been seeing Dr. Niggemeier, who is so kind, gentle and a great communicator. She answers all questions very thoughtfully and thoroughly, and was incredibly caring and helpful during our older dog's last few months. The clinic staff (techs and receptionists) are also warm and friendly. We recently moved to the area with our 16 month old Coton de Tulear, Jackson. Almost a month after we settled he developed an ear infection. We took him to Andorra Vet Clinic because of it's proximity to our neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised by the car. Dr. Slaymaker was excellent with Jackson and the vet tech was also very helpful. Upon return visit (regular checkup and vaccine update) we also saw Dr. Lauderdale. She was kind, courteous and professional. The only drawback to this practice is that there is typically a long wait to get in to see the doctor. This is likely due to the size of the office (very small), the fact that they only have one doctor there at a time, and because they are typically only open evenings and weekends. We took our dog there, and have been very pleased with the consistently excellent care that he receives, as well as the warmth and professionalism of every member of the staff. I trust them. Their late hours and sometimes same-day appointments is so convenient if you're a 9-to-5er. Lots of parking. Their boarding is very affordable. Our dog has had 2 surgeries there, and we wouldn't take him anywhere else. read more

We have been going to this vet for the past 3 years, and love it. We had bad experiences at other vets in the area, and had a hard time controlling our dog's UTIs. They are friendly, and take great care of our dog and cat. The pricing is also much better than other local hospital like vets, and they don't try and push unnecessary treatments on our animals! I brought my companion lola in as a new patient yesterday and was very pleased with their services. The staff was very friendly and truly seemed to like their jobs. Dr neggemeier was wonderful to us and we are so glad we found her as our new vet at andorra animal. The facility was clean and yes its a bit dated however it is a vet office where their are animals! We took our 9 week old puppy here to establish her as a patient and to continue her puppy vaccines. I was nervous about taking her anywhere new, but the staff here was wonderful and we were able to make her appointment last minute. The veterinary assistant and vet were very thorough with the information they provided for us as first time dog owners and they took the time to answer all of our questions.
