I love Dr Niggemeier and have been going here for years. Whoever answers the phone is miserable and unhelpful though.

Caring, professional team of caregivers. We could not have asked more of their care for our senior pet, or the ease of his transition.

The staff was wonderful and very transparent about pricing the process and heard all my concerns and answered silly questions as this is my first cat! They gave me a list of emergency numbers and called me the next morning to follow up. Despite what ever issues my cat is having, I felt much calmer and prepared having visiting this vet clinic! Highly recommend.

I am writing this review because I firmly believe I was taken advantage of. I have owned dogs for…read moreyears and have visited multiple veterinarians, so I fully understand how policy and standard care typically work. What happened here was unacceptable. I brought my dog in on Wednesday and paid $145, only to be told to put him on a bland diet. Fine. They called the next day to follow up, and I informed them that his symptoms had improved however he didn't poop . I was told to monitor him until the next day and that if the issue continued, I should bring him back -- especially since they would be closed over the weekend. The following day, I called again because nothing had changed. They told me to bring him in for a follow-up.asked if i could come right now because they were closing in an hour and again was closed on weekends I did exactly that. After the vet checked him and confirmed he was fine, I was hit with another $115 charge within 48 hours for the SAME issue. That is unreasonable and absolutely feels like a money grab. I have been to Penn Vet Hospital and other reputable clinics, and if you return within 48 hours for the same issue, you are NOT charged another initial fee. That is standard practice and basic customer service -- something this clinic clearly lacks. To make matters worse, the manager, Janelle, was combative, dismissive, and showed zero understanding or empathy. Her attitude alone would keep me from ever returning. Because of this experience, I will never return to this clinic and will strongly discourage others from going as well. Charging clients twice in 48 hours for the same issue is unacceptable, unethical, and shows where their priorities truly are -- and it's not with the animals or the owners.

My child, Meeper died in his sleep, we were distraught, lost and confused what to do next. My plans had always been to bury him at my childhood home but the ground was frozen. I called the only place I knew would help, care and respect us, Hickory. I knew this because in October we brought our cat Leo for his renal failure issues and the doctor compassionately helped us through the next steps. They allowed Leo to go outside and lay in the sun while the doctor administered the drugs. It was a beautiful way for him to be finally at peace. When I brought Meeper, there was no rush, no pushing, the staff helped us with every request. I knew he'd be safe with them when they took his body back. I came back to pick up his remains and the entire kit blew us away. Everything was so beautiful and left us feeling happy our son was home. I cannot thank you all enough for everything you've done for us in the past 4 months. I know that our kids were in the best hands. Thank you for everything you've done.

I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.
