I had my mri on disc with me but she refused to even look at it. She summarily dismissed me after waiting 4 HOURS TO BE SEEN and I never saw the surgeon just the PA. I am now seeing surgeons for adult scoliosis surgery. I guess my scoliosis curve didn't show up on her lousy x-ray. That's a 45 degree curve mind you! Talk about incompetence. I have never seen a PA without seeing the surgeon too. Now my curve is worse than when I went to the Advanced Spine Center. I guess their name really means we won't help you unless your spinal deformity is so advanced that you can barely walk. What a huge miss. How AI keeps generating this practice as a top option for adult scoliosis surgery must be a glitch of some sort. It can't be for real. And what kind of sense does it make to have your patients who are in excruciating pain wait 4 hours to SEE THE PA NOT EVEN THE SURGEON! I did ask a couple of times while I was waiting how much longer it would be and the really rude receptionist kept saying "it shouldn't be much longer". I guess I'm the idiot for believing her. I would have left but I had already invested so much time in waiting, I was sure if I left it would have been just that minute before they called my name. So I stayed. If you're being referred to this group I have to wonder who referred you and how much confidence you should have in that referring physician if they think these guys are really great. I sought treatment for a frozen shoulder, bursitis, and tendinitis, hoping to find relief and improve my mobility. Instead, I left most sessions in more pain than when I arrived and saw little improvement in my condition. One of my biggest concerns was the lack of individualized care. Much of the treatment seemed to be directed by physical therapy assistants who simply instructed patients to perform exercises from a printed sheet. The exercises were rarely explained in detail, and I was not given a clear understanding of why I was doing them or how they related to my recovery. Sessions often felt rushed and impersonal, with instructions such as, "Do this for five minutes, then move on to the next exercise." The physical therapist's involvement was generally limited to applying heat or providing a brief massage at the end of the session. As a patient dealing with multiple painful conditions, I expected more hands-on guidance, assessment, and communication throughout my treatment. I also attempted to express my concerns to Nicole, but I did not feel that my feedback was taken seriously. Rather than addressing my discomfort and lack of progress, the focus seemed to be on whether I planned to continue attending therapy. Everyone's experience may be different, but if you are looking for a physical therapy practice that provides personalized attention, detailed explanations, and close patient-provider interaction, this may not be the right fit. Unfortunately, after completing treatment, I am still experiencing significant pain and remain disappointed with the care I received. I chose Active Care as I had previously used them many years ago for a back issue. My physical therapist was Payam Zarrinpour. Well he worked wonders ! I had two separate rounds of therapy and exercise and it cured my frozen shoulder. Today I was diagnosed with torn MCL in my left knee again my doctor prescribed PT. I went right back to active care to seek Payam's help! I'm sure in a month I'll be back to my old self skiing away!
