The most arrogant, unhelpful, dismissive and rude physician I have ever met. I unfortunately see…read moreMANY doctors, and have also worked in health care for over 40 years. His office staff is lovely, his PA is lovely... but none of them were in a position to help me. I would avoid him at all costs!

This is going to be a bit long but please stay with me. Our journey to Dr. Lowenstein was 7 years…read more Our daughter started having back pain at age 11. Our road to answers started with her pediatrician. Then PT, chiropractors, massage therapy and a spine clinic. Several x-rays and MRIs later, nobody had the correct diagnosis for her and none of the treatments they told us to try gave any relief. Fed up with the system we looked toward one more medical professional, an osteopath. We met with him and within seconds he showed concern with the extreme curve in her spine. He ordered another x-ray and 3 views on an MRI. He diagnosed her with Scheuermann's Kyphosis. Basically her spine was caving in on itself. He was not confident in the abilities of the professionals in our state (neither were we) and suggested we search elsewhere for a surgeon. We researched the disorder and Dr.'s that treat this and found Dr. Lowenstein. We asked our osteopath for help ensuring this was a good place to go and he told us to get her there ASAP. We scheduled a telehealth visit because we are 5 hours away. I sent Dr. Lowenstein everything from the prior 6 years. His staff was amazing (shout out to Victor)! He confirmed her diagnosis and told us she had a 94 degree curve in her spine with the normal person's curve being 40 degrees. We went forward with an 8 hour surgery and every step of that day was nerve wracking, but we were met with the most amazing team we could have hoped for. The OR staff, PICU staff and Ped's staff could not have done anything to make us feel more at ease and comfortable while we were away from home. My daughter is 6 months post surgery and feels better than she ever has since she this all started. She is pain free with a 44 degree curve and 2 inches taller!! She leaves for college this coming fall and we can send her knowing she will focus on studies and fun instead of any pain in her back. Dr. Lowenstein changed her life and ours as well. He is our hero among the medical field and deserves all the accolades that come his way. Thank you does not seem enough so I hope this review helps the team understand how grateful we are. Kindest regards. The Lucas family

The stated goal of Dr Kammerer and his office is "to make every experience truly exceptional"…read more This office and this surgeon nailed it! From the first call to appointments to surgery to initial recovery to post op... this team is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and professional. Dr Kammerer is punctual, greets you in the waiting room, spends ample time asking and answering questions, assessing, reviewing medical records, and setting up next steps. My patient path took me to many doctors before I met him and he is the best of the best. He is extremely knowledgeable yet explains things in easy to understand language. He demonstrates careful decision making and wisdom when formulating a plan following protocol for my specific condition. Despite a grueling schedule he was present and caring while I was in the hospital. He was reassuring and put my recovery in perspective when I felt as though I was struggling. As a seasoned professional nurse for over 30 years I have interacted with many doctors. I can honestly say Dr. Kammerer is one of a kind and I am grateful he was my surgeon during a very scary time.

One Star - Concerns Regarding Communication, Professionalism, and Patient Experience…read more I am a healthcare professional with over 39 years of experience, and it is very uncommon for me to write a negative public review. However, based on multiple firsthand experiences, I feel it is important to share my concerns regarding this practice. I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas Cioce for several years and typically only see him for routine care. Approximately two months ago, I scheduled an appointment for medical clearance for surgery. During that visit, Dr. Cioce questioned why I was seeing him rather than a nurse practitioner. After I explained that I required physician clearance, the visit felt rushed and dismissive and lasted only a few minutes. On December 29, 2025, my 74-year-old husband developed a fever and cough. I contacted the office to schedule an appointment and spoke with Ellen, a member of the front office staff. I was advised to take my husband to the emergency room. I explained that this was not a life-threatening emergency and that we were seeking evaluation through his primary care provider. An appointment was eventually scheduled, and my husband tested positive for COVID-19 and received treatment. Later that same day, after I developed similar symptoms, I contacted the office seeking guidance. I was informed that no appointments were available and was advised to seek care elsewhere. When I attempted to explain my symptoms and recent exposure, the call was ended by the staff member. I called back on two additional occasions and was hung up on each time after being told no appointments were available. Being repeatedly hung up on while ill and seeking guidance from one's primary care office is unacceptable. As a result, I was forced to seek care at an urgent care center, where I waited four hours to be seen. Notably, the first question I was asked upon arrival was, "Why didn't your primary care doctor see you?" This situation was entirely preventable and reflects poorly on the coordination and accessibility of care at this practice. The only reason I have continued care at this practice is due to Amber, the nurse practitioner, who has consistently demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and thorough care. My concerns do not reflect her performance. I strongly recommend that Dr. Cioce and the front office staff receive customer service and patient-communication training. If individuals are unable or unwilling to treat patients with basic courtesy and professionalism, they should reconsider working in a patient-facing healthcare role. I also attempted to escalate these concerns within the organization but was unable to obtain clear information regarding corporate leadership or the corporate office. I encourage anyone reading this review to contact the office directly to understand the communication challenges firsthand. My intent in writing this review is to provide factual feedback and to encourage meaningful improvements in professionalism, communication, and patient care.
