She explains all the pertinent side effects of whatever she is prescribing but also explains how she expects it to help you. Wait time is about 15-30 minutes, which is normal. Her assistant, Pam, is an absolutely wonderful person to talk to if you need to get in touch with the doctor right away. She has a great demeanor and you can tell she thoroughly enjoys her job. I complained for over a year about stress and anxiety with little to no actual medical effort to provide treatment beyond "holistic" methods and basic treatments that had been tried in the past multiple times, and in which I stated I did not want to try again. Due to this, and despite improvements on communicating with family and handling issues, facilitated by other therapy professionals outside this facility. During a moment in which I was confronting family and setting boundaries. My family, who are known to be abusive, manipulative, and who I have requested to not have any medical influence or control over my healthcare were able to contact Dr. Vijapura, who without consulting the nurse practitioner who had been working with me, ordered that I'd be Baker Acted, which was documented by family and the hospital. He later tried to deny that he placed the order. I will be contacting a lawyer about this, if not reporting this to the appropriate medical watchdogs, I do not recommend anyone using this facility. My family situation is further exacerbated, I'm now suddenly left with no resources nor treatment plan due to the stated and documented failure of Dr. Vijapura to do his due diligence as a medical professional, and I'm now further financially strained with unexpected medical bills from having to be forced to "voluntarily" go to the ER to confirm I was not a danger to myself, despite showing no real evidence of being a threat. This group is a real danger to Floridians as they prioritize profit and image over their patients, while doing less than the bare minimum to treat said patients. I will not be surprised if this facility is part of the growing racket of medical professionals falsely imprisoning at risk individuals to take advantage of Medicare relief and mental health funding that comes with housing and treating these individuals.
