She was so thorough and patient describing the process. Removal of skin tags is not comfortable by any means and depending on the area it can hurt a lot. Dr Trower is a good dermatologist but business practices stink. If you use a credit card for payment, you have to leave that card on file with them. Her office also charges a 3% fee to use a credit card, which no other office I am aware of charges. So while she may be a good practitioner, there are other good dermatologists in the area with far friendlier business practice. read more

I have been coming to this office for several years already. I've seen Dr. Trowers on multiple occasions and she is wonderful! She's very thorough and explains treatments very well. The staff also writes down the instructions on your specific treatment so you won't forget the steps. I absolutely love this office and their staff. Everyone is so friendly and inviting. I've also been doing my facials (hydrafacial) with Carli for about a year. I love her!! I couldn't do my facials with anyone else. She's very good at what she does and my skin looks flawless. Best care I have ever received from a dermatologist! After years of dealing with acne, which followed me into my 50th year of living. Spending a lot money in multiple products became the norm and only worsen the condition. Visiting doctors who would practically shrug off and tell me to accept the fact acne is here to stay was part of the rutine. A friend recommended me Dr. Andrea and after three months of following her instructions my face has never looked healthier. I'm not writing this review to discount other people's negative experiences (to each their own) but the treatment I received by Dr. Andrea and the staff has been professional, clear and concise, and above expectations. Keep in mind the staff will advice you about products available for purchase that will compliment any Rx given. Previously I had gone to 3 sdifferent Dermatoligist because aside from other issues iI wanted to get rid of a dark spot I had on my cheek. All of them to told me I would have to have laser or microabrasion to get rid of it, but Dr. Trowers in 2 seconds treated me with a simple freezing with liquid nitrogen got rid of it. I saw Dr. Andrea Trowers regarding skin concerns I had. Dr. Trowers came into the room in which I was awaiting her, addressed me politely and ask what was ongoing in with me. She was warm, she listened, and she diagnosed my symptoms. She went on to explain everything and prescribe me needed medication. She fully explained when and how I'd need to use the medication. Side note... there was another dermatologist in training who sat in on my visit with Dr Trowers and the way Dr Trowers kindly interacted with her as well was very telling of her demeanor and the culture of her office. I made an appointment for 1 PM in the middle of my work day. I hadn't been in the office since 2016. I got to the office at 12:50 and the woman at the window said she would take my insurance card but that the people who process the info were at lunch and wouldn't be back till 1. Which is my first question, why would they take appoinment for 1 if they won't see anyone on the dot. I HATE that Dr offices do that. They have NO respect for people's time. After waiting more than 15 minutes, I left after I was lied too about being seen next. It's really quite a disgusting system they have because if I canceles they would charge me $20. After walking out, I called in and requested to speak to someone higher up and when another person picked up the phone she identified herself as Dr. Towers. She did apologize for how things went and blamed the insurance process for the wait (not her staff or over booked time slots). Typical. I'll be going to another Dermatologist!! read more

Dr Trowers policy is to collect your credit card information so they can charge you for whatever your insurance company doesn't pay. They will charge you without warning or a phone call to advise you of the balance due. I have used her products before and they do work. The credit card policy is ridiculous. read more

First and Foremost, I must say that I absolutely adore Dr. Trowers. Dr. Trowers and her staff is very energetic, professional, and passionate. She is very knowledgeable in diagnosing and treating skin disorders. I have been a patient since 2008. She has the 'ora" about her that makes me leave her office feeling Fabulous !!!! Of course, she prescribed the TAZORAC. However, it is highly effective. My skin has never been this clear (healthy) before becoming one of her patients. Also, every 3 to 6 month I usually set an appointment for a microdermabrasion which is provided by Anna the esthetician. She met with me individually (many doctors don't, they pawn you off on assistants), she was VERY knowledgeable, she discussed my options and let me decide, she did impeccable work (my issue was on my face, and I was very concerned about a scar), and she was easy to talk to. I don't live in Florida full time and was so happy that when I called to make an appointment (in town and having an allergic reaction) the office treated me as if I was a regular patient. They fit me in as soon as possible and I was seen promptly by Dr. Trowers. My doctor referred me to Dr Andrea Trower because she was in my network. My doctor did tell me that she didn't know anything about her except that she took my insurance and was near my home. I called and made the appointment. I completed the online paperwork. The nice woman over the phone reminded me to bring my information with me. She was very pleasant. I also got several reminders that if I missed the appointment there would be a $20 charge. I normally look up a doctor before I arrive. But I didnt... so I went in blind. First problem ---- I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appt and found that there were three other people with the time. So clearly two of us will be waiting a ridiculous amount of time to see the doctor. Second problem ---- As people were called to the window, they were being asked to complete a mandatory form regarding payment from with a credit card. One young lady burst into tears over the form. Another one asked if the form was even legal. I then decided to look the doctor up. Apparently, before you can see Dr Andrea Trower, you must complete a mandatory form that gives her office authority to charge your credit card for a service that goes above and what your insurance pays. She wont bill you and she will not notify you before charging your credit card. Legal or not, I think this practice is unethical. I did not feel comfortable leaving a doctor that I didn't know with a open charge to my account. When it was my time at the window.... Third Problem ---- it was now 40 minutes AFTER I arrived for my appt. I was presented the form and I respectfully declined. I was told that I would not be able to see the doctor without signing the form. I respectfully accepted their terms and left..... WASTING 45 minutes of my time for nothing!! If your office is going to have such an (unethical) mandatory policy, I think you should inform the client before they set the appointment and waste time coming to your office. I can't tell you if Dr Trower is a good dermatologist. I only saw her while she told the crying lady that she had to complete the mandatory form before she would address her issues. I can only say that she wasted my time and that I believe that her practices are unethical.... and that deserves one star. read more
