Tried calling for a week to inquire about electrolysis services. Filled out an inquiry form on their website and left a voicemail, no response. Called back again today and someone finally answered and couldn't have been ruder. I was bluntly told they aren't taking new customers. I asked if there is a waitlist - "NO". Are you even still offering the service? "Only to our existing customers". I get it if you are booked solid, but there was really no need to be curt and seemingly annoyed. 06/2018 I reached out to Barba Skin Clinic asking if laser works on darker skin tones. They responded and said Yes. :) Backstory: I haven't battled with facial hair really bad until 2014. I would always pluck hair and I did so for about 7 years. At one point it was really bad and I started to lose confidence because of the amount hair I would pluck and how frequent I had to do it. I was forced to put lots of make up to try to hide it. For months I did research on laser hair removal , I was on Groupon and Google and finally found my way to Yelp. I was skeptical at first but after my first meeting with Michelle I felt I found someone that knew my skin and face better than me. #1 she advised I stopped plucking and #2 to start washing and moisturizing my face. I was never big on face routines but if Michelle said to do it , I did it. She also wasn't biased when I told her the products I was using. She also never pushed me buy products they sold she would just recommend. I always ended up purchasing whatever she recommended (Toner, Rebrightylze, PM therapy). After ONE session of laser hair I seen the difference in a week. This was expensive to me because I was a college student but this was something I really wanted. I've been doing facials and laser with Michelle only. With laser At first I started with chin and after I seen results with chin a few months later I added upper lip. The facial was a bit pricey to me also. I didn't know the price before I got it but in the end it was worth it. Also, let's not forget about staff!! The front desk girls are always so friendly and cheerful. They always offer water and are always so helpful when it comes to setting up appointments. I've always been able to reach the staff via phone, text or email. All of the staff are friendly and extremely patient. You pay for parking but it's like $3-$5. That lady is friendly as well. I'm writing this review now because of quarantine and I haven't had laser in a few months and I don't look like a caveman. I took a picture yesterday and I am amazed at the difference a year has made. Hair still grows (hormones) but it's super light hairs you can't even see it in the picture. My scars are faded. && I don't wear a lot of makeup anymore when I go out now and my confidence is A1. I have never went to any other place besides Barba Skin Clinic and no one else has touched my face. Only two people have seen my before pics until now. I decided to share because someone maybe battling ingrown hair like me and is looking for a reliable hair removal place! I say put your faith in Barba Skin Clinic! *As of quarantine what I use now are the Buttah (skincare kit) and Camille Rose (recipe box and anti blemish bar). I came here for a facial and it was the most wonderful experience ever. It was so professional, relaxing and nice. I visit their dermatology office for regular follow ups and have been very happy with the service received by the doctors there but that is detailed on a different review. However, they always give me a coupon for the Skin Clinic which is in a different office and I have never used it until now. I scheduled a facial and they saw me on time, they cleaned and massaged my face and everything smelled heavenly. I saw an improvement on the texture of my skin and plan to return for more. read more

Today, I was touched by an angel. Her name is Arianny Sandoval and she is a Medical Aesthetician at Barba Skin Clinic. I've been going to Barba Dermatology for years and had visited the clinic for a facial once before, waaay back in 2012. I've been seeing Irene Cuesta at Barba Dermatology over the past six months to restore my skin to its original glory, and facials are a great way to address things like redness and scarring as it helps to accelerate the healing process. It took some time to get an appointment, but was totally worth it! I was a little nervous to have any kind of maskless experience (I'm still not even eating at restaurants) and was relieved that this was very sanitary and hygienic. Arianny is so nice and easy to talk to, and offers really great advice for skincare. I ended up purchasing a spot treatment product while I was there but neither she nor the receptionist were pushy at all about it. They don't accept tips, but I would have (and tried to, and was denied) happily emptied my entire wallet in gratitude. If you are thinking about getting a facial and are nervous like I was, rest assured that you are in good hands with Barba Skin Clinic. If you don't want to pay to park in the parking garage above this location, I've always just parked at nearby Publix and walked. But, I wouldn't mess with the CVS parking next door. read more
