I have wanted a Mommy Makeover for several years, and finally bit the bullet and decided to go for it. I asked one of my good friends, a renowned facial plastic surgeon in Houston, who she would trust with her own body if she was getting a Mommy Makeover - and she told me Dr. Lyos, without hesitation. Of all the things I was having done, the tummy tuck was the most complicated, and Dr. Lyos is known for his amazing tummy tucks. So I scheduled a consultation, and I was impressed right away. Dr. Lyos isn't your stereotypical, cheesy, posh, Los Angeles-TV-Show kind of doctor. He's thoughtful, reserved, analytical, and not at all flamboyant. His reserve put me at ease, and made me feel like he was serious about making me look great, and not just putting on a show. To top it off, his Patient Care Coordinator, Loan, is amazing. Ultimately, I decided to go with Dr. Lyos because I felt he was a good fit, and he came so highly recommended. I was not disappointed. I had a full tummy tuck, breast augmentation, liposuction of the back, hips, and bra area, as well as liposuction and muscle tightening under the chin. Yes, it was a lot to do at once, but I wanted to go for it and Dr. Lyos didn't have any reservations. The week before surgery I had my pre-op, and had about a billion questions. I emailed Loan every question I had, and she emailed me back within a couple hours every single time, day or night. Seriously, 9pm on a Friday night, Loan was making sure I was taken care of and had my questions answered. The day of surgery I was at the hospital very early, and Dr. Lyos' entire team was wonderful. From the nurses, to the anesthesiologist, to Dr. Lyos himself, they were great. We started at 7:30am, and I was in surgery for 8-9 hours. My mom came in town to take care of me for a couple weeks, and the nurse got my mom's cell number before surgery and texted her with updates throughout the day, which really put my mom and my family at ease. After surgery I stayed overnight at the hospital, since I'd had so much done. The nurses took great care of me, and I couldn't imagine going home immediately after the tummy tuck. I can't recommend the overnight stay highly enough. Very worth it, and I feel necessary. The worst part of the whole ordeal was the next day, when I had to get out of bed! Ouch! But a nurse from Dr. Lyos' office came in to help me get up, and check my dressings and stitches. Dr. Lyos also came in to review everything himself, and make sure my pain was manageable before discharging me. My parents drove me home (we had decided my parents would take care of me, and my husband would take care of the kids!). If you get a tummy tuck, I highly, highly recommend you buy/rent an electric recliner. Totally necessary, and that's where I slept for weeks! Additionally, if you have the option for Exparel, take it. Worth it. The first time I saw my new tummy, I almost cried happy tears. I've attached pictures to this review, because they're worth a thousand words. That's just one week post-op, so I'm swollen and the end result will only get better. And my belly button is perfect! No weird round belly button stitches that are a tummy tuck giveaway! Dr. Lyos told me later that he spent an HOUR working on just my belly button, suturing internally to give it that natural look. Again, amazing. He's a perfectionist and it shows. I'm still recovering, as I had a lot of work done and it's going to take time. Dr. Lyos and his nurses have seen me every week since the surgery, and Loan continues to respond immediately whenever I need anything - medicine refills, compression pads, random questions. I can't speak highly enough of my experience and results with Dr. Lyos. This process has been 100% worth it, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. read more

just now-Edit If I could give a negative review I would do so. I had several awful experiences with this provider and office. I believe my previous review and rating has been removed, which makes me question the validity of the other reviews. I do not see other negative reviews that used to be posted, as well. If a provider pays to have negative reviews removed, and then pays to have fictitious positive reviews placed, a false rating can be established, which is very disconcerting. I believe my closure and result literally looks as if a child completed the procedure. Parts of my procedure have left areas mutilated. I am very unhappy with my procedural result, and was told in an appointment that someone who is not a surgeon at all completed a large portion of my closure. This is not acceptable as I had requested otherwise, and not acceptable for what is advertised and promised. I also feel this provider has very poor bedside manner and communication, often appearing rushed and annoyed by patient questions and concerns. The office staff and providers seem to turn any negative opinion against the patient and have not addressed, or taken responsibility for the unacceptable service and result. I believe a family member of Dr. Lyos is the office manager, and neither Dr Lyos or the "office manager" has assisted in trying to make things right other than offering a tiny portion of the money back in turn for a legal release which I was not willing to sign and am further pursuing this matter by reporting Dr Lyos to the medical board. I believe Dr Lyos did not follow some of the facility guidelines for my procedure. I believe the facility in which Dr Lyos performs many of his surgeries is not regulated by the organization that governs most of the large hospitals in the country, leaving the facility to possibly be under less strict guidelines. I would not use Dr Lyos or the small surgical center again knowing what I know now. There are many providers to choose from. Ask yourself this: If something undesirable happens such as a poor outcome, etc, is this the treatment you would want from your provider? Or would you want someone honest and caring that stands by their work and cares about their patients? Please do not make the same mistake that I did. read more

Being in my mid 50's I started to see some drooping of my eyelids as well as my jowl area. After over a year of research into plastic surgeons (and with all the downtime thanks to COVID) I decided to have Dr. Lyos do my surgery: mid face lift w/a chin implant, upper blepharoplasty and lipo of the mons). I am currently 7 weeks post op and aside from some minor swelling in my lower face (as is expected) my results look fantastic. In fact, after just 2 weeks post surgery I had minimal to no bruising. Although each person heals differently, I recommend following dr's orders to a T. The Arnica and Bromelain are MUSTS prior to surgery (I normally bruise a lot so I can attest to that fact) ; I also drank water all day long post surgery and practiced proper sleeping habits, wore my face wrap and ate well (bone broth soup in the first few days was my go to). Dr. Lyos spends ALL day in surgery; he is very fastidious in where incisions are placed and especially on how they are sutured up. Most of my incisions are barely visible right now. I already feel, at 7 weeks, more youthful without the look of being pulled tight or having an obvious lift - exactly what I wanted my outcome to be. Dr. Lyos has the most wonderful team of professionals that work with him - from the office personnel to his nurses & surgical team. They are all very attentive and accommodating and ensure that all my needs are met. I had the Best Experience Today!!! I have to start by saying that I rarely write reviews, but I went in today for Juvederm for my Nasal Labial Folds & Botox for my crows feet and between my brows. When I walked in, I was greeted by a warm staff and Perrier. :-) (The last time I was here in November, there was an event going on and I walked into a waiting room full of Champagne,chocolate covered strawberries, finger sandwiches & pastries!) Dr. Lyos and his amazing staff greeted me, and made me feel so welcome. Sherry Mitchell, the one who took care of my Juvederm & Botox, was inviting, professional & very informative. She assured me of the amazing results I would get by using Juvederm for my Nasal Labial Folds. I could not believe it...within minutes they were literally erased! Mary Raybon, the nurse who was in the room with us, talked me through every step. She put numbing cream on me, so I would be comfortable and not feel anything. (I have had fillers & botox at other places before, and they never went out of their way to make sure that I did not feel anything uncomfortable.) Okay so now I am at 10.5 weeks post op and my results seem to be getting better as I heal more and more. I had my 10.5 week follow up on Thursday and he said everything looked great. I Was happy that he has allowed me to resume some exercise but with extreme care as I'm not at 12 weeks. My scarring has went down so much ( as Dr.Lyos said it would). You hear so many horror stories where Drs. Promise the moon and the stars. Dr. Lyos has been very thorough and in this whole process and wants to insure my best results and recovery. He always answers questions, even the crazy ones that we woman ask. I'm stoked to get to finally be able to get in my pool. Yay!!!!! He wants to take after pics at my next appt which should be at about 14 weeks, but I asked him to wait til I am able to fully resume my weights, etc.. to tone up my new body.. I want 6 weeks of my normal routine to tone up what's been in rest mode for 3.5 months. He said he wanted some pics at my next appt anyway for me to have to take home but he would absolutely be taking more when I was ready!! Yay. I had neck and chin liposuction with Dr. Lyos under local anesthesia, and I am thrilled with my results. The surgery was completely painless, and I was presently surprised with the short recovery time. I have always been extremely self-conscious of my neck fat and just could not seem to lose the fat with weight loss. I asked Dr. Lyos if he thought I needed a chin implant in addition to the neck lipo and he said I did not. I was pleased that he was not trying to sell me on any extra procedures but rather trying to help my confidence. As I was awake for my surgery, I was impressed that I never felt any pain. From his skill in numbing, it was clear he is extremely experienced. He was extraordinarily precise, and I have close to no fat under my chin now and a new very defined jawline. It used to be hard for me to look in the mirror and now I actually like my reflection. This was absolutely life changing in increasing my self-confidence. Dr Lyos has been doing my Botox/lip injections for almost 8 years! I also use his med spa for my chemical peels and he performed my breast reduction/lift several years ago. I can't say enough great things about him and his staff! I have always referred my friends and family to him for everything! He and his staff always make me feel amazing and are truly professional in every way. I went in for Botox and to re touch my lips this last Monday and was offered the Pro-Nox machine (laughing gas) as a way to relax during my appointment. I had never tried it before and absolutely LOVED it. I will for sure be adding that on to all future appointments! Did the miracle of childbirth cause your abdominal muscles to tear apart? Do you feel defeated when the hours you put in working out have zero effect on your stomach? Does it irritate you when the doctor's office you go to on the regular doesn't treat you like a celebrity? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then stop everything and call Lyos MD. I had my procedure in August 2020. I was self-conscious and nervous, but the entire team at Lyos MD makes you feel so comfortable. Dr. Lyos is incredibly kind and his work is amazing. I am so pleased with my results. His nursing staff are AMAZING, and I would know because I am also a nurse. Loan Do is the patient care coordinator, and she is simply lovely and goes over everything so you know exactly what to expect. The facility itself is beautiful, but more importantly, I was greeted by name every single time, I have never had to wait, and they honestly treated me incredibly well. I have been seeing Dr. Lyos for Botox for years. 12 years after my initial breast augmentation, I was finally ready for replacement of my implants ( preferably without a lift). Admittedly, after several consultations, including with the Surgeon who completed my initial surgery, I decided I trusted Dr. Lyos above all. The amount of knowledge, information and options I was given solidified the amount of trust I had. I wanted to correct asymmetry and a loss of fullness experienced after the body changes I went through after having my daughter 9 years earlier. I also have scoliosis which seems to contribute to the asymmetry significantly. Dr. Lyos and his staff were very honest regarding the challenges I could face and gave me several options to get to where I wanted to be. There aren't words to adequately describe how thrilled I am with the results. They look amazingly natural, feel real and are more symmetrical than they have ever been...PERFECT. I had researched having a facelift/eyelift for many years. I was scared as you would be. It is after all, your face. I was recommended by my primary physician who's sister as well as her cousin were patient's. She has an appointment coming as well. I continued to think about it for 1 year, but I'm not getting any younger. I thought who better to recommend me? So I went for a consultation and four days later, I went in for surgery. Today, 3 moths later, I look like I am 20 years younger. You are the only one who can make this decision for yourself, however, please just go in for a consultation. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff and my experience from consult to almost one year post op. I have to agree with the other posting- don't waste your time going anywhere else. Some words that come to mind: Thorough, caring, supportive, responsive, honest. As far as my personal experience, Dr. Lyos is a miracle worker. Also he made sure the belly button looked good on my tummy tuck. Very happy. That being said, allow several weeks/months even for your healing process. It was a good two weeks before I even considered driving. Several more before I could walk my dogs. It is a lengthy healing process that you do not want to rush. Of course everybody is different. I have been going to the Medspa for coolsculpting for years now. About a year ago I also started going to Dr Lyos for fillers and Botox, both of which can be a bit uncomfortable. However, during my latest visit I was offered ProNox during the injections which helped manage the pain quite a bit. What is ProNox? "It is a device that administers "laughing gas" in an inhaled mixture of 50% Oxygen and 50% Nitrous Oxide. The device is used to reduce anxiety and discomfort during in-office procedures." Needless to say, it was the most comfortable injections appointment I have ever had and I was able to drive myself home afterwards with no problem. I would highly recommend ProNox! She asked detailed questions about all the products I was using or had used in the past 4 weeks and wanted to make sure it was all compatible.
