Dr. Ho gets it done, After 4 other cardiologists and a stress test for each of them I was unable to get someone to preform an angiogram to get a clearer look at my heart. I had been to the hospital emergency room several times in 2 years with chest pain. A couple of times I even had stress test performed and again nothing showed unusual. From there I was referred each time to a cardiologist for further care/evaluation. Then I got a new primary care doctor and she recommended Dr. Ho who I had not seen yet. I made the appointment and went to see him. I mentioned to him that I had seen 4 cardiologists before him and each had done the stress tests and I had also requested an angiogram to be preformed by each of them, which none of them would do. Well, Dr. Ho also did a stress test and again nothing unusual, however because I mentioned the periodic chest pain he felt that we should go in and take a look at my heart. He did and he found 2 blockages, each at 90%! He literally saved my life. Dr. Ho originally saw my mom in the hospital and I was so impressed with him that I decided to see him as well as I needed to establish with a new cardiologist after moving here. I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He is professional, compassionate, attentive, extremely adept at his work. When I had to be transported to the ER last November because of dangerously high BP, the hospital said they could not give me the stress test that I needed and that I would have to schedule one through his office. When he learned that I was in the ER, he ordered the stress test and had me admitted immediately. I had the test the next day and an angiogram three days later. Luckily, I was fine, but I was so grateful to him and that he took the time to attend to me. He goes above and beyond. I saw a couple of negative reviews here and I would venture to guess that those people had extenuating circumstances, etc. You are in VERY good hands, literally, with him. In an unrelated situation, when he saw me visiting my elderly aunt in the hospital during his rounds, he took the time to ask me about her and looked in on her, even though she wasn't his patient. Dr. Ho saved my life. A few months ago I had severe pain in my stomach and fainted. Heart attack was ruled out at the ER. Subsequent visits to various specialists and my primary diagnosed GI issues. I also have existing autoimmune disorders(Sjogren's Syndrome, Graves,RA). It was assumed these were the cause of my syncope and fatigue. One of my doctors suggested a consult with a cardiologist, just because, and referred me to Dr Ho. I do not have any of the obvious risk factors for coronary artery disease (do not smoke, drink, weight and cholesterol good and I am active) but I do have family history. Dr Ho decided to order several tests which led to cardiac catheterization whereby he discovered the LAD "widow maker" 90% blocked and placed a stent. I rate Dr. Ho and his staff very highly. I always love to go for my appointments, knowing what a pleasant experience it will be for me. Now with the coronavirus happening, Dr Ho has set it up where we can have face-to-face telephone appointments, where he can look at me and tell me about good I look. LOL He listens always so well to what I have to say and he addresses my concerns and I always feel comfortable and safe talking to him knowing that he has complete interest in my health and well-being. I adore the staff he has. The nurse helped me fix up my telephone with a special app that I was able then to have face-to-face conversation with Dr. Ho. I really appreciate not having to go out in the pulic and taking a chance of getting the virus so I appreciate Dr Ho looking out for my best interest. Anytime you are told that you have a medical issue with your heart...the tension rises and all of the 'what if' questions rise to the top of the pile! When I was told that I had 'failed' my stress test...there was an immediate blip in the tension! However, it was Andrew T. Ho MD giving me this 'news' and then proceeded to talk to me in very easy to understand...'tension reducing'...information as to what the problem was and what he recommeded to correct the situation. Very impressed with the care and follow up here! I was dealing with issues post Covid and felt very concerned and overwhelmed because of it. The staff was incredibly understanding. They always know me by name, are friendly, courteous and have quick follow through. After having to wait for healing from that and an insurance change Dr. Andrew Ho took the reins and got my new pacemaker in without a hitch! His quality of work is precision. Dr Ho was recommended to us by a lady that overheard our conversation in a restaurant about needing a good cardiologist. My Dad had vague symptoms and nothing was seen on an initial echo or heart cath. But after further review of tests that were done, Dr. Ho found a blockage in one of the coronary arteries of my Dad's heart. I came to Dr. Ho after firing a prior cardiologist for not advising me that I had developed a thoracic aortic aneurysm in the six months since my last check up.
