Today, on my very first visit, I am giving this Cardiologist's office 5 stars. Since I am just developing a relationship with this doctor, this may change but it may be updated by visits in the future. I came into this office feeling I needed "hope" and I prayed that this cardiologist's office delivered some. I am a patient that is middle aged and is/was full of life but that is challenged by multiple auto immune, dysautonomia, POTS, and just a myriad of other issues that crept in, a good amount over the last 5-6 years after I got the SARS COVID VIRUS really bad ( twice). I can't tell you how hard it is to find good doctors and friendly staff, and doctors who listen and I am DESPERATE. I was quite nervous when I arrived because I just really needed someone to hear me out and did not want to walk away feeling defeated when I feel like I'm dying. The young lady that came into the room first to do an EKG and ask a few questions was named Destany. She was so professional and cordial. I told her I already had lots of EKGs and she assured me it's just where they start out. She was a good listener and even did a little bit of talking herself. She was kind and made me feel at ease and we had a mutually uplifting mini-conversation before she left the room. Everyone needs a Destany !!!! Shortly thereafter, Dr. Sarsam entered the room. I had a page of notes, including doctor visits and other important information-one for me and one for him. Not to go further into detail but he really seemed to listen to what I was saying. What I'm dealing with is serious and heartbreakingly debilitating, and he allowed me to say what I needed to say. However, with respect, I "bullet-pointed" it as not to take up a ton of his time. I'm sure my heart was pounding when I arrived at this new office, after all I'd been through, but I felt relieved and a little better as I left. I will be wearing a heart monitor within a month and seeing him again for the results. Hope to make some progress with getting to the roots of these ailments and heart/breathing issues which are one part that sits under the disautonomia umbrella, which I don't wish on anyone. I was a new patient, I never even met Dr. Sarsam but was immediately scheduled for an angiogram. Whaaat?? No testing. Nothing. I never went back. I will never let a doctor do anything invasive to my body unless it's absolutely necessary. He didn't even do an echo cardiogram. I just didn't trust him. And the front desk women were rude and weird. read more

A long review ~ But a warning worth the read... GET A SECOND OPINION AND SEE A DOCTOR RE CARDIAC ABLATION BEFORE YOU LET DR. SARSAM LEAD YOU DOWN A PATH OF NASTY DRUGS. We first consulted with Dr Sarsam 4 years ago. He diagnosed my husband with AFIB. Over this time period he performed three cardio versions and put him on a very nasty drug called Amiodarone. After a year on this medication, he took him off last November. He advised that the potential side effects were too risky to stay on it any longer. In May he went back into AFIB and in July was diagnosed with severe hyperthyroidism (One of the biggest side effects of Amiodarone) . My husband lost 30 pounds in four weeks and couldn't get out of bed. I called an ambulance by week three, and it was then that the emergency room doctor diagnosed him with hyperthyroidism. In the meantime, he was back in AFIB, so we consulted with a different cardiologist re an ablation. He wondered why we hadn't come to him 3 years ago?! All of this could have been avoided and there would have been far less scar tissue. We are lucky that the ablation was a success and he now will be starting his long journey now to combat the hyperthyroidism. Run don't walk away from Dr. Sarsam and his unwillingness to refer a patient sooner for a cardiac ablation!!! read more

I was here 10 minute's early. My app was at 1;15. Ita 1:51 and they just told me I was late! Im am very upset to have been passed up and accused of not being here on time. Maybe the office ladies need to stand up and check the tiny office to make sure theyre not missing patients. I suggest if your com8ng hereto make sure your there a couple times! Needless to say, I will not be coming here again. The girl in the front was very rude and did not believe me. I am a patient and the front office girl was very rude. He is supposedly good at what he does .... however, will never know! I saw him for 10 min he said maybe 2 sentences just wrote down what I said... Felt completely in the dark about why things were ordered or proposed. Not a word about it. Also he had told me no life change will change my situation but when asked how long to take the meds he said until you change your lifestyle .... wish I had more info as to what I was looking at, what risks and what outlook. Very disappointed. Oh and forget calling there tried for about 2 weeks daily always "we are open 8-5 ... not once did I get anyone on the line. Called a couple of days ago to make an appointment. The receptionist told me that they don't take cigna PPO without a referral. With a Cigna PPO plan, you don't need a referral from a primary care provider (PCP) to see a cardiologist. So they simply lied. I saw them before work a different insurance. The front desk was always ignorant and unprofessional but I actually liked the doctor. read more

No follow up phone call to discuss ECG results as promised. Calling office doesn't help since they won't return phone calls. Five minutes after leaving this review I received a call from Dr. Sarsam. He apologized for no follow up saying they were revamping their phone system for the previous two weeks. He was courteous, polite and professional. I hope this was truly a one time glitch. read more

I like Dr Sarsam & dont want to leave but between his office staff & Loma Linda Hospital trying to coordinate a test the Dr ordered after 3 months I have given up & unfortunately I will be looking for another cardiologist as I feel the staff & associated hospital does not have my health in their best interest. read more

I had a chemical stress test done at Loma Linda, Murrieta. From a personality standpoint, he was OK. One of the reviewers commented as regards she felt he might be somewhat of a misogynist. I definitely did not get that impression. As for the test, at some point during the test, I began to have some serious issues & he didn't want to stop the test. He was on the verge of sending me to the ER. I said NO. He finally stopped the test, fortunately. Would I go back? I have a follow-up appointment coming up. He had his assistant call me with the results of the stress test. I felt reassured when she read the test results back to me, but I would have preferred to have an appointment with him directly to hear the results or a one-minute call. I'll get a copy of the test results when I do the follow-up & then I'll do what I did with my last CT. I used AI to decipher all the medical terminology :( If I have questions from that point on, I'll call the office. I'll make my final comments after the follow-up (as an add-on to this post). I will say this in his defense: he was patient with me (frustrated but patient). I'll add, I live in Hemet & there is not one cardiologist in Hemet that I would give the time of day to. The first question I asked when I called his office for my initial appointment was, "What hospital are you affiliated with?". No one is perfect, to be sure. I have decent insurance & thank goodness for that, but even so, there is no guarantee. I would not go anywhere near Hemet Global or Menifee. read more

My mom has been going to him for a year. I encouraged her to leave and find another cardiologist but it took time to find a doctor within her Insurance. He does not communicate at all. All he does is sit there and look at his laptop and tell you that you have a "Bad Heart". Does he think his patients dont already know that and that is why they are at his office? Never would listen or comment on her AFIB as it was starting to be there more than not. Never adjusted her medication or did chest x-rays or a ultra sound to see if changes or something to know more about her heart had changed. He did not want to be bothered with her or her or how she felt. she ended up in the hospital and was given incorrect EKG results from him. Needless to say, after going to appointments with him every three months because that is what she wanted to do because she wasn't feeling well (and he wanted appointments to be every 6-8 months) she was admitted in the hospital and passed away February 10th. I understand that Doctors are not miracle workers but dont treat people and elders like you dont care about them due to their age. Communicate and tell your patients where their heart condition is and let them take the next steps for themselves. If that is asking too much than maybe he should not be so money hungry and take less patients and care for the ones that he has and or quit your practice. His heart and best interest for his patients have dissolved and is not there for him anymore. I would suggest not to use this cardiologist if you care for your loved one. read more

The staff at Hope Cardiology are very great. I had a short wait before my appointment and was seen. The nurse who entered me was so nice. Dr Sarsam took his time with me and answered all of my questions. When I went to leave I was able to schedule my follow up, stress test and second follow up. read more

I do LOATHE when I'm dismissed by a male doctor for asking a simple question. Is it because I'm a woman? Is it because I I ask questions and know a little bit about what I'm asking!!?? Dr.sarsan was there twice when I needed him and performed wonder surgery on me. He saved my life. I was about to have a heart attack. He put a stint in one of my arteries I now I feel better then ever. Wish he could come for Thanksgiving dinner.
