I am a patient of Dr. Lu who is great and has extended my life; however, his staff has failed on several occasions to coordinate with Express Scripts to fill my prescriptions. The third such occurrance followed my 6/16 visit. Express Scripts needs a PA for Olmesartan, 5mg as prescribed by Dr. Lu. I have called twice and no return call. I have been going to this office for a year and a half and every time I go it gets worse and worse regarding Veteran Insurance billing. Today was the final frustration that pushed me to write a review. I am not happy with the customer care for Veterans at this company. I have had issues with this company since the start of going to Temecula Valley Cardiology. The issues are with their billing department as they consistently have problems billing TRICARE and or the VA. I started coming to this office while on Active Duty and after when I transitioned to retirement. I am a retired, 100% disabled veteran and rely on my TRICARE and VA coverage. I expected Temecula Valley Cardiology to have figured out by now how to contact TRICARE and the VA to prevent billing issues since they accept TRICARE and the VA for patient insurance coverage. I had my appointment today May 1, 2026, which was rescheduled from 3 weeks ago due to conflicting work schedule. The Temecula Valley Cardiology called me yesterday asking for my insurance info. Then they called me again stating that the VA didn't have the correct name of their office on the appointment approval. I told them I would call and fix it. Mind you, I was at work when they called both times and they never told me they were canceling the appointment. I called the VA and they corrected the approval for Temecula Valley Cardiology, and the lady from the VA told me I was still good to attend my appointment. I arrived on time to my appointment and come to find out Temecula Valley Cardiology canceled my appointment. I am done with this Cardiology Dr's Office and I recommend any veteran to stay clear from it if you are using TRICARE or VA as your insurance. read more

Cardiology supreme! I've been with Dr. Jeffery Chung and Dr. Woods for over five years! Top shelf care, always on top of my care! Their P.A. Brenda, take their time and LISTEN! Dr. Chung doesn't miss a thing! I had A-fib they recommended an Ablation; GONE! Then a WATCHMAN; Successful placement now protected from Strokes! This is the second time they have called me within a few days of my scheduled appointment, scheduled months in advance, and told me that they were cancelling my appointment because the authorization had lapsed. Is it my job to manage this? Really, I don't know the answer, is it? But I do know that they don't manage it. I see them once in a blue moon and this is what they do on a daily basis. First off I love Dr Lu. He virtually saved my life two years ago when I had major blockage in two arteries. But what prompted me to write this is how I was treated yesterday (Friday) at their Hancock office. I am scheduled for hip surgery in ten days IF I can get my clearances in five working days. Because of the caring treatment of the front desk staff who persisted in trying to reach Dr Lu's group, I have clearance appt on Monday morning. My appointment was with Lance Reinherz, M.D. When I arrived to the office, it was clean and the Receptionists at the front desk were personable and efficient. My waiting period was reasonable. The back office tech, Lindy, was caring and efficient and explained her various methods of preparing me for the Doctor. Dr. Reinherz has a demeanor that made me feel safe. He is determined to find the cause of my symptoms and explained what and why he is ordering certain tests. He has a 'game plan' and, as a team, we will work towards answers. On the way out Taylor gave me a stack of papers with orders for various tests and explained each one. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Reinherz. read more

We were fortunate to have our GP, Dr. David Nguyen, recommend Dr. Dang for my mom when she moved here from Michigan to live with my husband and me and needed a new cardiologist. Dr. Dang is outstanding! He is extremely thorough and really takes his time to listen to his patients. Thanks to his care, she was able to live over 14 years after her diagnosis of CHF by her Michigan cardiologist, including receiving live-saving stents twice. When I was diagnosed with A-Fib while out of state on vacation (after a trip to the ER), Dr. Dang became my cardiologist as well. Due to his thoroughness, he discovered that I also have an aortic aneurism, which he monitors regularly. In addition to his professionalism, he is a very kind and compassionate person. The staff at TVC are also very professional, and I appreciate the fact that I've never experienced long wait times for any appointments, whether with Dr. Dang or for an in-office test. Only got 1-star because that's how you start the rating. I waited 2 weeks for an appointment, filled out a dozen different forms & showed up right on time ... 45 Minutes early For my appointment. Only to be hit with a $152 co-pay on arrival! I have insurance & due to my sons illnesses I meet my maximum deductible every single year by April. I explained this to the front desk person but to no avail. I told her I don't need the appointment if you're going to charge me $152. She told me to sit in the lobby & wait for booking to re-schedule my appointment? I actually waited 10 minutes before thinking... re-schedule what?? I don't have the money they want. I wasted a valuable day off & ironically the chest pains I wanted to see a doctor about... started up again as I drove into work to try & salvage what was left of the day. Dr. Lu saved my life. Went in with chest pains, he ordered several tests and finally an angioplasty (sp?) at Loma Linda. The found 3 blockages and put in 3 stents. The next day I felt 20 year younger. I've told everyone I know about how important it is to get checked out. I spent a ton a time researching cardiologists before I went to them, was not disappointed. Professional staff, but remember to book your appointment and show up 15 minutes before, they are kinda sticky on that one. I have to say that I could not be more thankful for this office! I think Dr Chung is a very straightforward, understanding, knowledgeable doctor. I have had to go to the office a few times so far and I am very happy. There is one nurse who is amazing. She put my CAM monitor on and then also did my Covid test and she was the most personable, clearly intelligent nurse that I may have ever encountered in my life -- during both visits! I really think she needs some extra credit for the way she is with her patients. Unfortunately, I am a huge loser and never asked for her name but I know she works at the Murrieta office and at the Temecula office on Tuesdays. Absolutely stay away. Very very rude front desk people. I had to go back in and pay office visit so I could get my echogram test result instead of over the phone or email. Dr Jin performed an angiogram on me but did not bother to visit me after the procedure to tell me the result. I asked the nurse to find him, he had already left the hospital and sounded angry when I called his phone. Told me that he had discussed the result when I was still in the operating room, still under anesthesia and that's why I don't remember anything. Smart Dr. I sent him an email the next day to find out about the result, I got an email from his nurse, I'm assuming, that I should make an appointment for discussing the result. Dr. Reinhertz pays attention to me and gets me stents whenever he wants to do that. He has improved over the past some years and I regard him as a friend, A friend of my heart. So, I will continue to see him until I have no further use for him. which could be any day now, one never knows when it will happen and I appear to be the most vulnerable to everything on the planet, whether started with the Chinese or not. I scheduled an appt. with this place after my doctor told me that I needed to see a cardiologist. It was the rudest service I ever received. First, the receptionist that booked my appt. told me to be there an hour early, but then she said if she mailed the paperwork, I would only need to check in 30 minutes early. Then, the doctor's office calls and leaves the same information telling me to check in at 3 for my 3:30 appt. Well, on the day of, I had never been to the office and am new in the area, so I went to the wrong building. I got to the parking lot at 3:10 and my appt. was scheduled for 3:30. I called the office and told the receptionist and she said "that's fine; I will let them know." I walked in and she asked me for a payment on my deductible, but I had already met it. She took my paperwork which I had spent 30 minutes filling out and placed it on her desk and then called this really nasty woman who came up to the front and said "YOU ARE 45 MINUTES LATE TO YOUR APPT. SORRY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO RESCHEDULE!" I explained to her that I was only 10 minutes late and had even called them an then she proceeded to tell me that I had to be there at 2:30 for my 3:30 appt. because it took them an entire hour to check me in. I disputed with her in the front while other patients waited, because she was wrong. I had been told to be there at 3, not 2:30. I explained it to hear 5 times, but she flat out refused to listen and just said "Sorry; we are going to need to reschedule you?" I was furious and embarrassed, but felt very violated that she would insinuate to me that I had been told to be there at 2:30 which is what she did. So, I am sitting there fuming and she is berating me in front of 4 other patients who were waiting. First, she disputed with me over the time I was late, which was only 10 minutes, then she tells me that the doctor said I was late so he just cancelled me and no matter what I tried to explain she was persistent in telling me that I was wrong. I have never ever been treated that way; to have someone just dismiss what you're saying and tell you that they are right and you are wrong is super disrespectful. This place seems to think that they don't need your business. I called back to talk to the person in charge and I was told "she's in a meeting behind closed doors." I told the scheduler that she was full of it and that I am giving the office Mgr. one chance and then if she doesn't call me back, I will go online and post my experience. Save your time and find another doctor's office that cares. Seriously, if a doctor's office is going to nit pick me over being 10 minutes late on my first appt. when I called and told them I had accidentally went to the wrong place, and then cancel me, they do not deserve my business. I am sure they will end up just like BlockBuster did in time anyway. After you treat so many customers poorly, it only takes a few to go and talk and then you are done. I sincerely hope you read this entire thing and do not do business with this company. Don't trust them. I spent and wasted 2 whole weeks waiting for this appt. filling out paperwork. In the end, I ended up thinking about how they treated me and I decided to walk out of that office after they cancelled me. Why would I need to see a doctor that so carelessly cancels my first appt. There are several doctors out there that don't act entitled and that appreciate their patients and would try to work w/you over something like that. Unfortunately, this place is into 'proving people wrong' and they hire nasty people that want to berate their patients. Why would I ever want to have a place like that looking after the most important organ, my heart? Don't make the same mistake I did waiting for an appt. with them. Went and saw Dr. Dang as a precaution for some problems I had a few weeks prior.. honestly I was expected to be blown off because of my situation but Dr. Dang was awesome! He listened to everything that I had gone through and provided me with a possible explanation that my problems... did a series of tests over the next two months and everything came back fine so that gave me a good peace of mind Through out the process Dr. Dang communicated with me and even help to with other issues outside of cardiology that I had been having for years... he was sweet and kind and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a cardiologist read more

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance with Dr. Reinherz. Then the office calls me the day before my appointment saying I am with a completely different doctor whose name was never mentioned to me in an email or a personal call. I do not see how I am supposed to trust these people with my health when they cannot even schedule an appointment correctly. read more

Dr. Dang is wonderful as is his nurse Michelle;however, this is a very very large practice. They have very arbitrary office rules. When you call, you'll never get a real person it's always a voicemail and if you're lucky they'll call you back in a couple days but most the time you won't be lucky. read more

BEWARE! This office is horrible! Every time I went they charged me fees that I did not know about, and I have insurance, full coverage. While waiting to see the tech, never the dr, the women employees at the front desk demonstrate unprofessional behvior. I hear about their breast feeding troubles, husbands who are an only child, and more. Adding to the poor climate: Dr. JIN ordered TWO stress test and was NOT present for either one, said there was a blockage and STILL has not talked to ME! My primary dr called me to deliver the news. BOTTOM LINE: DON'T GO HERE FOR YOUR HEART CARE. I've since gone to Inland Heart in Corona and they are fabulous! First of, I'm a patient of Dr. Lu for many years, I think he is an excellent/wonderful doctor, I described my symptoms & he knows exactly what's wrong with me. However, the office staffs are rude & lazy. I've high deductable insurance but they never put it in their system so they always charged me retail, when I cancelled the appointment due to the bill is too high, they charged me $50.00 for a cancellation fee. I called the billing department to dispute the fee, she said I was rude & hung up on of me. If you are referred here, be prepared to be treated like a number, answer 100 questions over the phone, many of which you may not know the answers to. If you don't have those answers, also be prepared to be treated like your 3. Never have I felt like there was an initiation involved to set up a new referral. I was a patient of Temecula Valley Cardiology since 2007 (recently relocated to NC). Temecula Valley Cardiology is as good as a medical practice gets. In the 9 years I was a patient I never saw the office run late or behind schedule. My physician Dr. mark Dank was professional, caring and always took time to ask about me not just my cardiac issues. In today's medical culture spending adequate time with patients is at best a challenge and I found every staff member at TVC to be kind, considerate, professional and extremely competent. I'm not normally one to write reviews but this was such a bad experience that I felt the need to warn others. I booked my appointment weeks in advance and took off work for it. As instructed by their office, I showed up 45 mins early with my 11 pages of paperwork completed. Apparently there was a mix up with the location of the office I had my appointment at. Being that the other office is only about 15 mins away, I asked them if I could just drive over and still keep my appointment. I did not think this was a big deal since I would still arrive 20-30 mins early. They insisted that I had to cancel my appointment (and take more time away from my schedule), without any explanation other than "the doctor is very particular about time". What I took away from this experience is that these cardiologists value their time far more than their patients' needs. God forbid that these doctors be even slightly inconvenienced by their patients. I probably could have had a heart attack in that office and the doctor still wouldn't have seen me lol. Jokes aside, I no longer feel comfortable going to them. If I end up having a serious heart condition I don't feel like I can rely on being seen or being treated as a priority by them. I have worked in healthcare and this "45 mins early or else" rule is strange and causes unnecessary stress. There is absolutely no reason why I couldn't have been seen that day. I would have completely understood if I had shown up late but I didn't show up late at all. Consider going somewhere else for cardiology. read more

Dr.Chung was really good no complaint about him at all. However, I would not recommend this practice because the office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I brought my mom in because of her uncontrolled high blood pressure and spoke to several people about the type of insurance she has and was told both were accepted. She saw the doctor twice and scheduled several tests and follow-up appointments throughout January. On her third appointment, she was told she needed to pay a co-pay, which is strange since her insurance does not require any co-pays. When I alerted the staff of this another person came out and told me that they do not take her second insurance and that all her appointment needed to be canceled. She proceeded to tell me this was my fault and that I did not tell them about my mom's two types of insurance when that is simply not true. I alerted them about her insurance when I called to try and make the appointment and handed over all her insurance cards and driver's license the day of her first appointment. I watched the person at the front desk scan all her cards and confirm everything was okay only to be told later that this "misunderstanding" was all my fault and that they only had one scanned insurance card on file. Had the women come out and calmly informed me of the problem I would not have become so upset but the fact that she came out blaming me and telling me all of my mom's appointments need to be canceled on her THIRD visit after I repeatedly informed them of her insurance situation and got confirmation from multiple people everything was fine was such a waste of our time. My mom has several health issues, has good insurance, and needed to be treated for her health problems urgently. The office staff do not seem capable of answering even the most basic questions and will do nothing but waste your time. Avoid if possible. read more
