Andrew provided excellent service: - had a truck dispatched to my address in the Bronx just over an hour after I contacted him. - driver called me to let me know he was 15mins away, arrived at the scheduled time, and was very helpful, friendly and professional when strapping my bike to the flatbed. - driver texted me to confirm delivery to the appropriate person in the dealership's service department, with photos. - price was reasonable given the distance that needed to be covered (across boroughs). Wow. I came across this gentleman in a search for motorcycle towing. I don't bother with positive reviews; I go to the negative reviews, keeping in mind there are usually two sides to any story. In this case, though, there's some consistent negative threads regarding his behavior that should give anyone pause when considering his service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I've gotten my motorcycle towed a few times over the past couple of years and this by far is the worst towing service I have ever encountered. If you have AAA or a special towing service with your auto insurance provider, I highly suggest you utilize those services instead or find an alternative independent towing company to assist you. I'm a little upset with myself because all the signs to not book a towing with this company were there, but I was desperate at the time and he had reviews that were complimentary. His truck smells , it's appearance on the outside is dirty, he's aggressive in tone and might I add a little snarky. I'm sure if I was a man he wouldn't have treated me the way that he did when speaking to me. I almost wanted to cancel. but like I mentioned I was desperate for the tow. A very communicative person, he'll call you and txt you giving you updates of his status. Please do be responsive to his txt or calls because you'll make the process longer for yourself. He's a safe driver so when he does contact you, it means he's using the time to pull his truck over. He's knowledgeable in what he does, uses equipment to get the job done. The straps he uses are newer straps to not ruin your bike. We did run into a situation where a scammer called me in the middle of loading claiming to be the tow truck person my insurance sent over. Even claiming that he got paid by my insurance already. Andrew informed me of how other tow person will scam you, pretending to be the person insurance sent only to ask you for money afterwards or you aren't getting your property back. Andrew and insurance was able to confirmed that he was the one sent by insurance, that he was the one my insurance paid. So from that alone, Andrew is an honest man. Not sure how the other tow person got my information but it happened. He will get you to your destination, making sure not to do anything that will hurt your pride and joy. He's a cool guy. He provides good value. You might get thrown off by some of his mannerisms, but he gets the job done. Listen to what he says as he's done this like a zillion times before and can anticipate problems before they happen. A lot of times he'll tell you to stand over here or there, etc. It's cuz things have happened in the past like people standing in the path of traffic, or pushing bikes over because they don't know how to push the bike etc. If he seems gruff, just give him a chance. In the end you'll get a great deal, and once you get past the gruff exterior, this guy's all right! read more

Andrew is a good guy. This is my second successful tow from him. He is an interesting character to be around. It does take a bit of getting used to Andrew but in all he does have a good heart. He actually helped me search for my phone during a tow. Didn't find my phone that night but someone did and called Andrew. He quickly called me to connect me with the finder. His rates are low and he has the knowledge and tools to get the job done right. Be patient when dealing with Andrew. It is worth it. Andrew was very helpful when picking up my motocycle during the 'sandy'-period. We live in the West Village and had no power, he still made the effort, drove for hours over the bridge to come to the city and picked it up. We had no power, as said, so as it was getting dark he was so nice to drive me uptown, to make sure I'll be safe. He is friendly (when would you expect someone to make sure you and your bike are in a safe place?). I (thankfully) only had to employ his services once and that one time was a great experience. My bike had been stolen from Manhattan and recovered in Brooklyn but the ignition was damaged so I could not drive it from the recovery location. I found the Andrew Trucking number online and gave him a call. He requested a good deal of information and gave me a fair price for the tow. He came when he said he would and took great care in the loading and hauling of my 2013 R6 to a shop in another part of Brooklyn. Since this was all happening basically at midnight, the shop was closed, but Andrew chained up my bike and covered it for the shop owner to handle in the morning. I've never dealt with a more unprofessional business person in my life. I called "Andrew" in a pinch. My motorcycle failed to start around 10pm after I was having dinner at a restaurant in Brooklyn. Andrew was rude from the outset, cutting me off, not letting me explain my situation. Finally when I could get a word In I explained to him that I only needed to tow it within the neighborhood roughly 20 blocks or so and that it didn't need to go to a garage as I would work on it myself. He graciously offered a much lower rate than any other tow company would only because at the time he did not have any gas as a result of the Hurricane Sandy gas shortage. He offered to contact me when and if he got gas. Naturally I start to explore other options, but to no avail. Two days later he texts me at 6:30am saying he got gas. At this point the bike has been safely locked up on the street. I responded by saying I couldn't meet him as I was leaving for work- it is 6:30am. I asked if he could meet at some point in the evening, he said yes, we'd be in touch. Keep in mind I never set a time with him, I never gave him an address, I never even told him my name, we basically had 0 agreement except that I would contact him later.... Thankfully a friend offered to help me out, so rather than pay a tow service I opted for the free option. zing! I notified Andrew that even though I appreciated his gesture, I would no longer be needing his services, thank you! This set off a loooong, uncalled for, absolutely ridiculous string of text messages that bordered harassment. He started calling me names like idiot, bonehead, moron and crybaby, followed by "go Fuck yourself", and don't ever call me again with your silly headgames" I mean am I his ex-wife or something? WTF! I ignored the last few texts that were basically drunken rants filled with more than your average typo in a text, and just when I thought I had heard the last of drunken Andrew Trucker he sent me another antagonizing message that said "don't cry, ok?" Don't call this guy, he's clearly deranged and not fit to run a business let alone tow your valuable vehicle anywhere. read more
