I was in the market for a new furnace and air conditioner. Basically a whole HVAC system to replace…read morethe very inefficient oil burning furnace that came with my new home. I did my research and determined that there was three major brands that I might want to have installed in my home. Bryant, Trane, and American Standard. I found every company in the area that sold these brands and got an estimate from all 5 that I found and a couple that I promised family members that I would check out too. So 7 in total. Bays heating and cooling was the best. Let me tell you why. First they were the only company that didn't feed me any lies. I did my research and I knew more than I was telling any of them. I believe a company should do that right thing and be straight forward with their customers without having to be pushed. Second they sell American Standard, one of the brands that I wanted for my home. The other company that was selling American Standard was offering a 1 year warranty on labor. Bays believes so much in their product that they offered a 10 year on labor out of their own pocket. The system also can with 10 years on parts from the manufacturer and lifetime on the heat exchanger. If a seller/installer and a manufacturer can get behind a product that much, you've got my attention. Third they paid attention to everything. When John the owner of Bays came out, the only owner to come out themselves, he checked things that no one else bothered to check. Measuring the furnace space and the entry way. Looking for the proper exhaust point and intake. Also checking the electrical. I bought an older home and the wiring isn't new. Most other people were concerned about checking and selling me insulation and new duct work, not actually checking if the new furnace would fit. I came to a conclusion. Bays was one of the lowest estimates that I got from the 7 companies that I had out. Not the lowest but defiantly the best value by far. I didn't want the cheapest equipment or the most expensive just the best value and I got exactly what I wanted with the best possible warranty. If you read this and need a new system or a repair call around and make an informed decision. But make sure you give Bays a call. I couldn't be happier with the service and the people from Bays.

Our HVAC system went out so we called four different companies, including Bays Heating and Cooling,…read moreto have each of them come out, preview the scope of work and determine the specific HVAC system each would recommend. We were solely seeking bids for cost comparison from these four different installation companies each representing a different manufacturer. We were not asking for service or maintenance on the existing system. It was already non-operational. We were only gathering bids for equipment and pricing. We did not choose Bays. Subsequently, Bays sent an $80.00 invoice for service which we did not order nor authorize and which, to our knowledge, they did not perform. We argued with them over the invoice and did not pay it. Several days ago we received notice from a debt collector regarding this $80.00 bill from Bays. We have an unblemished credit record with FICO scores well over 800, so we decided to pay the bill rather than risk any type of negative entry on our credit history, even if it was false. In short, our experience with Bays Heating and Cooling has been 100% negative! Not only was their bid for the installation of the new HVAC unit the worst of the four companies but we wound up, in effect, being forced to pay a "ransom" for a bid that the other three companies provided without any charge. This post is the first I have ever done and it is not about the $80.00 - it is, in fact, about the ethics of a company choosing to conduct its business in this manner. The $80.00 is minor - Bays' business behavior was reprehensible!
