We were concerned about our furnace in a new house. Granted we are an all electric and we did not know much about how it worked, other than the fact our electric bill practically tripled, so we wanted to rule out anything that could be causing problems. I had replaced both elements on my water heater, checked the amperage on my panel, furnace, and water heater to not find anything to cause alarm before the service call date. However upon arrival after driving my kids to school the day of the service ca I caught the tail end of the technician basically telling my wife 'either find a new number to be comfortable with, or purchase a heat pump or a new furnace.' I did electrical work when I was younger and could never imagine speaking to a customer this way. I understand that the winter had been rough and you didn't want to be out in it but as a customer I was requesting service, paying for said service and answers. Not for my wife or I to spoken to disrespectfully the way we were. Also the comment of 'your bill is what it is.' I'm sorry but sounds to me like customer service and speaking with tact was not something that was taught. I do not care how skilled or knowledgeable someone is, if you are just rude and disrespectful there is no reason or excuse for that. Maybe others will have better luck, but as for me I will pay the service bill I will be getting charged, which I'm essentially paying for someone to treat me like an idiot and tell me to spend more money to 'possibly' save money in the long run, but will definitely not be calling this business again.

We were solely seeking bids for cost comparison from these four different installation companies each representing a different manufacturer. We were not asking for service or maintenance on the existing system. It was already non-operational. We were only gathering bids for equipment and pricing. We did not choose Bays. Subsequently, Bays sent an $80.00 invoice for service which we did not order nor authorize and which, to our knowledge, they did not perform. We argued with them over the invoice and did not pay it. Several days ago we received notice from a debt collector regarding this $80.00 bill from Bays. We have an unblemished credit record with FICO scores well over 800, so we decided to pay the bill rather than risk any type of negative entry on our credit history, even if it was false. In short, our experience with Bays Heating and Cooling has been 100% negative! Not only was their bid for the installation of the new HVAC unit the worst of the four companies but we wound up, in effect, being forced to pay a "ransom" for a bid that the other three companies provided without any charge. This post is the first I have ever done and it is not about the $80.00 - it is, in fact, about the ethics of a company choosing to conduct its business in this manner. The $80.00 is minor - Bays' business behavior was reprehensible!

This morning I walked into the kitchen and discovered that water was leaking from under the kitchen…read moresink. Within two hours Commercial Service had a plumber at our house. He discovered two sources of the leaking water, fixed one immediately and restored water supply to the rest of our house. He recommended a new kitchen faucet to replace ours, which was part of the problem, checked local availability and I was able to pick it up on my way home from a medical appointment. Soon after I got home, another Commercial Service plumber arrived, installed the faucet and double checked to make sure that the dishwasher wasn't part of the problem. Before the second plumber arrived, the first plumber had contacted a mitigation company and they sent a rep to evaluate the situation. By the middle of the afternoon they began the work of drying out the areas that had been affected by the leak. The scheduler at Commercial Service was very kind and did all he could to orchestrate this much appreciated help. We are very satisfied and very grateful!
