Ormond Beach at Andy Romano Beachfront Park is wonderful. After a rainy drive from Tampa, shopping to kill time, and late lunch , we made it to this beautiful gem. Rainy cleared up perfect for our beach time here. This beach is so clean, has ample individual bathrooms, a handful of showers, free parking, picnic area and nice walk to the beach, we were settled. It's a wide beach so we didn't feel like we were right next to people like sardines. Water is fresh here in the summer time. Not like Gulf beaches. The breeze was unforgettable especially for a July day. This beach is perfect except it's not dog friendly. It's still an amazing beach that is stress free where you can just sit back and relax. Loved our visit here and will definitely be back.

Located in Ormand Beach, just north of Daytona Beach, this park boasts close to the beach parking and that means just a short distance to haul your canopy, chairs, cooler, and other gear onto the wide, clean, sandy beach. Closely following this benefit are the multiple clean family and gender specific bathrooms, splash pad, play equipment and seating in the area just before the steps down to the beach. Did I mention close parking? The two times my family and I visited, we found parking onsite. The first time spaces abounded because, I believe, we arrived earlier in the day and it was in April, that time period between Spring Break and Summer vacation. On Memorial Day weekend, most recently, we needed to drive around the lot a few times until a spot opened near where we could secure it before other vehicles did. I found the regular turnover of parking spots surprising due to the lovely benefits of this park. If you find it difficult at first, stop a the restroom location to unload, if you can, and then resume the search for an open spot. This park is worth the wait!

Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.~ Margaret Atwood On Friday afternoon me, my dad and his grand baby stopped by this amazing newer splash park located on Ormond Beach to check it out for the first time! What an amazing view of the ocean to enjoy whilst your child plays on the playground and my toddler definitely had a blast playing on the splash pad and enjoyed the sandy beach! She kept splashing and soaking herself, she just loves the water! I would highly recommend checking out this park with a snack bar and more, you won't be disappointed and it's a sure way to tire your kin out for a nice long nap! We'll be back and we'll be bringing a pail bucket with some sand toys for her to play on the beach after she visits the park!

Wonderful beach park that is FREE paved parking, clean restrooms, nice lifeguarded beach (thank you Lifeguard Stand 221), playground & splash pad.

    Very nice park!

Andy Romano Beachfront Park in Ormond Beach is a perfect beach getaway for a family! Below is a rundown of what I liked about it: 1. Parking is close to the beach, and it is free! 2. There are lots of family restrooms (with changing tables), covered picnic tables, several water fountains, and outdoor showers. 3. It is a kids dream with a covered playground AND a splash pad! 4. There is a small concession stand, but it is also within walking distance to restaurants. 5. The beach is beautiful and the sand is soft. 6. There's a lifeguard on duty. I went on a Friday and got there early in the morning to snag a parking spot. I imagine the weekends are crazy here, so be prepared for that. The bathrooms looked like they could use a wipe down (I did not use the changing tables because they were very dirty). It must be difficult to keep enclosed bathrooms clean with wet feet running in and out of them all day, so my tip is to wear shoes when using the restroom. Overall, Andy Romano is an excellent choice for a beach day with kids! Come early for the parking.

The best beach spot if you have kids! This spot has paved parking right by the beach, showers, bathrooms, a splash pad, a playground, and easy access to the water! It gets busy, but don't lose hope-- spots open up so you can snag a spot even if you don't make it there right after the sun rises!

This is a great beach front park. It is really nice and clean. There is a good private parking lot, and plenty of beach front. I would definitely recommend this.

There are many parks in Daytona, this is a really nice one. It has easy parking, great clean facilities, play areas, and sitting area with roof. It has easy access to the beach and a great view. If you are into Pokemon Go, there are a handful of poke-stops here as well. A great place ti enjoy with the whole family.

This is my favorite Ormond Beach beachside park. There's a large free parking lot, nice bathrooms, a cute beachside stand for Italian ice and sunscreen, and several great outdoor water showers to rinse off the sand. There are also several grills, a decent number of updated picnic tables, a cute gazebo, and a fun splash pad and playground. And then there's the beach with lifeguards, located in between areas where cars are allowed to drive/park. Just a brief walk to the south you'll find The Beach Bucket (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in case you didn't pack a meal.

It's also really spongey so it's a good workout just to walk a ways. I felt much more at peace here than some other beaches- it's not as touristy so it's much more chill than some of the more mainstream FL beaches and it's a great change up. There are huge waves- perfect for surfing or boogey boarding. But that being said, the waves hit the shore pretty hard even up close so just something to be aware of if you're bringing kids. They have a big pier to fish off of and bathrooms and rinse station. Right across the street (A1A) all along the road there are dozens of restaurants, shops, and other businesses all within walking distance of the beach, it's so cool and nice to have everything so close by! Flagler is also a half hour from St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, so it's a great place to stay for a few days that's quieter but you can still see more of the coast. I think this is one of the coolest beachtowns I've been to yet. You gotta come here at least once just to experience how different it is!

We take advantage of this a few times a month, our dog absolutely loves the water and sand and it's never crowded. Note that they do require you to keep your pet on a leash but we always bring our long-line leash so he can roam around. As far as the main "boardwalk" area of Flagler, there's plenty to see and do. We like to sit near the pier and watch the surfers catch waves. There's definitely a friendly, old-school hippy-surfer vibe in Flagler that I love. A few fun beach bars that have outside seating with views of the ocean that make for a great lunch spot. One of my favorite things about Flagler is the drive to get there, take the A1A for a scenic ride up (or down) the coast, it's a real crowd-pleaser for out-of-town guests, they'll love the views! Overall, don't miss checking out this little gem of a city, you won't be disappointed.

4 reasons to come to this park. ***NEW INFORMATION***…read more There isn't any fee for everything I'm mentioning EXCEPT the front part of the off beach parking area ****** 1st is MY reason: I go here because it has 2 fenced in HUGH dog play areas. My girls go into the small dog play area while yes, big dogs go in the other one. Each play area has benches, water and poop bags in different areas of the park. (Some people leave balls there also otherwise, you bring your own) I walk the perimeter while the girls run after me and the other dogs. My 2 rescues "mother/daughter" duo are still puppies, full of muscle and need to run for their exercise. (for me to rest because they are a handful) 2nd: There is A children's play area. I know they have swings slides picnic benches but I'm not sure what else because I don't have a child to go there. I hear all of the children laughing, having fun so I'm sure it's pretty nice. 3rd: They also have back to back courts for... I know one is basketball, the other one may be pickleball? Not quite sure but again I see lots of people playing on the courts even if I'm not paying attention to them 4th: Which is most likely you wanted 1st is the large parking area across from the beach As you first drive into the park, there is a huge off beach parking area where You can (of course) park and walk right across to the beach. * BE AWARE, It is no longer "free" parking (just like ALL the parking areas in Volusia county) **The parking areas are free for local residents as long as you register with your car license plate and proof that you are indeed a resident here. ***I don't know what the policy is, you will have to look it up in The Volusia County rules I do know it's $20 a day parking (and all the parking areas now) BUT, I do know it is a great park with something to do for all AS for pictures, I will put them up when I go again BUT, here is a shot of my cute ladies and something strange that someone put up. Stick figures that I don't know their meaning
