I urge everyone to give them a try and support a local business that has resided on Main Street for over 20 years. This morning I had the best customer service experience of my life. About six years ago, I bought a…read moremattress from Yankee Mattress after the one I had bought at a store on Main Street in Greenfield utterly failed. I love my Yankee Mattress mattress. It's exactly the right firmness and sleeping on it is like sleeping on a cloud. And it's so well made! I'm a big guy: 6'5", 290 and it is as comfortable today as the day it arrived. Anyway, about five days ago, when I moved on the bed, it started squeaking. It wouldn't stop so I called Yankee Mattress and left a message. Tom called back the same day and said he would come out to check on it. Well, this morning he did, single-handedly lifting the mattress and box spring. He discovered that the bed frame was rubbing up against the baseboard heater. It turned out that it was the baseboard heater that was squeaking, not the bed frame or box spring--which I had also gotten at YM. Tom then proceeded to install a center support rail to replace my makeshift cinderblock (blush) support. He also put felt pads on the frame so it would not rub against the heater and put some on the center rail. Even though I said I could do it, Tom insisted on remaking the bed, having rotated the mattress. He did not charge me for this. He's remarkable. He's energetic, brisk, friendly, professional--and he's the general manager! As I said, the best customer service experience of my life!

I've been twice already to pickup furniture I've seen posted on their Facebook page. They have barn sales open to the public on select days, but most other things are arranged for pickup at a mutually agreed upon time and date at the barn.
