Service was pretty poor. I came by at around 550pm today, took awhile for one of the teens to take notice and come over. I wasn't too familiar with how to order etc and unfortunately the petite blonde/olive complexioned gal wasn't at all helpful, came across very clueless and ditzy. Andy's Frozen Custard is the perfect destination for dessert. My husband and I wet there on a Saturday night and we found it to be very crowded. The parking lot is not laid out very well and many drivers were going the wrong way. You also have to walk through the drive thru to get to the front of the store. Once we got to the front of the store there was a long line of customers, which is expected on a hot summer night. Once we got in line, I felt it took an exceptionally long time to get to the front to order. I ordered the triple chocolate concrete (chocolate frozen custard blended with chocolate chip cookie dough and melted chocolate chip). Despite the trouble and wait to get this frozen treat, Andy's Frozen Custard gets four stars because of the tremendous taste and the joy it brings. I highly recommend Andy's Frozen Custard. This is probably my favorite ice cream in the area. I usually get a concrete with Oreo, fudge and caramel. My mom and stepdad got sundaes.

I'll be honest. I'm only here for the roasted salted pecans. The ice cream/frozen custard or fudge don't taste any better to me than the majority of ice cream shops I frequent, but the generous helping of roasted pecans that are on many of the menu items keep me coming back. -And keeps me thinking of Andy's even when I'm not allowing myself to go back just yet. A small hot fudge sundae is my standard. It's simple and just the right size for me since I can barely finish even one of those. It has been my go-to since I was old enough to buy my own. My mom always ordered one for herself, but made me get a plain cone. Whuuuut? But hers never had Andy's roasted pecans. Mine does. The Concretes are family favorites. I generally don't order my own, but swipe bites from others. I love the Rico Suave Jackhammer with its roasted pecans and Oreos with a hot fudge center, but my favorite is a seasonal Apple Pie Concrete. Sadly, it's only available in the fall or winter. My bf got a blend of custard and Heath bar, but since it was his first time he was sort of overwhelmed by all the choices. One of my favorite things about this location is that it is open later than other dessert stores in the area. Which is perfect for those late night cravings. There's many options to choose from, and also dairy free items which is always great! There isn't an indoor seating area and does get quite busy so there might be limited seats but, there is a drive thru. You guys should learn how to fill a container properly so that it does not overflow. It isn't that difficult. If you make too much, just scoop it out before handing it off to the customer. If it's a to go order, make sure you can put a lid on it without creating a mess. It is a giant burden to your customer to have to clean custard off of his hands, off of his car, counter top, garbage can, table and doorknob. When a guy who is 5'3" and 135 lbs shows up by himself and orders 2 concretes, it's not difficult to guess that he is not going to sit at the restaurant and eat both of them himself and that he might appreciate not having to clean up a giant effing mess. I did ask for lids. That did not help. My wife said the concrete tastes good, but really a customer should not have to clean up a giant mess when they order a food item at a restaurant. read more

They even use a full slice of pumpkin pie in their pumpkin pie concrete. The service at this location is always quick and really friendly. Who doesn't like frozen custard?!?! I will literally drive to this place when it's not even "ice cream" weather, and we all know the seasons in the Chicagoland area are wacky. So, there's a drive up here and a walk up window...the menu here is pretty awesome! They are a little more expensive than Culvers down the road in Downers Grove, but they have a nice variety. They are open till like 11pm, so that's a plus for your late night ice cream craving!
