Chai Latte & Great Pumpkin Latte
    Miranda L.

Sweetwater is a cute Downtown Naperville coffee and tea spot. Parking can be a little tough; there are limited spots out front but plenty of nearby lots and garages. When I entered, I was a bit confused on where the line started. The inside was very clean, had a good amount of tables to sit at, and multiple menus displayed to show their featured items. I did wish they listed their syrup flavors somewhere to help give customers insight to offerings. When ordering, I decided to go with the Seasonal Great Pumpkin Latte (with Oatmilk) and no whipped cream. The staff member did try to upsell me on an espresso type which I nicely declined. My husband got their Chai Latte as well. It didn't take too long for drinks to be ready. I liked the flavor of mine but it did lean on the sweet side. My husband's chai also was on the sweet side. I'm happy I stopped in to try Sweetwaters. Pricing was average to a bit high on my latte. I didn't try food when visiting but many items looked intriguing in the cases!

Sweetwaters miss the mark. Its a nice looking place for sure but the quality of the coffee or their pastries was just average. Their Vietnamese coffee tasted watery and lacked any distinct flavor. I had their "French" donuts which it wasn't clear what was "French" about them since the French don't eat donuts but whatever... point is they were not good. Those dry Entemann'a donuts you can get from the store have better consistency and flavor than these. And to top it all off the service is slow and the gentleman making the drinks looked annoyed. I can't believe that downtown Naperville doesn't have a decent bakery with good cafes except the Starbucks Reserve.. Gasp. That should tell you everything.

OMG Chocolate Cake and Bottled Water

Nice, quiet little locally owned coffee shop, the workers are nice and friendly. And I absolutely recommend the cake I've had the OMG Chocolate Cake and I fell in love after the first bite, melts in your mouth, one of the best pieces of cake I've had hands down.

I prefer McDonald's not freshly prepared to order.

OMG McDonald's bacon egg and cheese biscuit is better than what they tried to provide. Certainly not made fresh to order. Everything is already prepared and is tossed into a large toaster. For $8.71 I was expecting so much more. Most of the bacon was nearly uncooked and one piece was under the biscuit. When I tried to pick it up it fell apart. I took it back in for a refund. Wonder if everything comes in frozen and they just thaw it out. One and done for me.

Good place for younger folks and people who are less snobby about coffee. Lots of sugary flavored concoctions.

Stopped by again and just as good as the first time. People were super friendly suggesting options and their seasonal cold brew is definitely worth a try!

Thanks to my friend Egan for suggesting this spot! I must've driven by here countless times into downtown Naperville, trying lots of similar spots nearby but had just never noticed this one. This place really hits the spot with drinks that I'd consider somewhere between Joy Yee's and Gloria's Jeans in terms of design. Unfortunately, I only have a limited capacity to try so many drinks in a single visit so I'll need to make more visits to be able to try everything. What really makes this spot stand out for me is the selection of premium drinks and asian inspired drinks. For example, there's lots of cold brew, expresso, and iced drinks made with premium ingredients and their housemade whipped cream. There's also vietnamese coffee, matcha latte, imperial milk tea, thai iced tea, and a large selection of hot teas available as well. There's something to satisfy everyone's cravings here with the selection of soy, oat, and almond milks as well -- and chocolate milk shake and hot chocolate for those looking for less caffeine (and pup cup for the dogs!). These wonderful drinks are served with a very impressive bakery selection, rivaling as many items as you'll find in a panera or corner bakery and at reasonable prices. If you warn something a little more rich, cakes and cheese cakes are also available for purchase. There's a good amount of seating available here to enjoy everything with board games and books available as well. This was overall a delightful place to enjoy a coffee and I'm sure to be back soon!

Cranberry Scone - CranOrange and Crme Caramel

Sweetwaters is just the best. Went here weekly during undergrad and always enjoyed my experience! Staff is extremely kind, and the feel for the shop itself is so cozy. Perfect place to sit with friends to chat or study for classes! The hot creme caramel and iced Vietnamese are absolutely delicious. Perfect pairings with their bagel sandwiches or muffins. 10/10, recommend to everyone in the Naperville area looking for a coffee!

My first experience was wonderful but now So sad . the drinks were terrible!! I got the same strawberry bliss but bigger size and it tasted like water down sour strawberry water. Not even close to what it was last time. Husband got a strawberry refreshing and it tasted like sour grapefruit. Very disappointing. I wanted to go back but the girls seemed like I was inconveniencing or a bother to them. I won't be back again

This cute downtown coffee shop is perfect for meeting up with friends, doing some work, or just grabbing some coffee to go! I got the dirty cold brew which basically tastes like a mocha. It was delicious and had a great balance of flavors. I ordered to go, and it was ready before I got there, which is great since it was busy when I walked in.

I like this shop. The staff is really friendly. It's clean. It's only half a block from the Benton Ave parking garage, which is good because I hate parallel parking my SUV on Washington. There are kid friendly options if caffeine isn't their thing. My daughter drinks her tart Strawberry Lemon Freeze ($5.75) while I drink my Dragon Eye -their house coffee with sweetened condensed milk. It sounds like it would be a really sweet coffee, but it's not at all. A single Dragon Eye is 130 cals. At $4.75 it's not too badly priced. There's a fairly big selection of pastries, but as a pastry chef, I usually avoid any pastry that isn't house made or sourced from a reputable pastry shop. I don't come here for the pastries though. I'm only here for the coffee.

So I'm not sure how busy it can get in there or what it's like yet. There were a few different sandwiches that I was interested in trying but I ordered the regular Pacino. Immediately when I got my order, I could small the deliciousness and truffle right as I was opening it up! I also knew that I wouldn't be able to finish the sandwich in one sitting, but it didn't matter. Haha I took the first bite and all the flavors just hit! I loved everything about it. The mozzarella, truffle pecorino cream, and arugula all went so well together and it was creamy; and then to add the prosciutto for the saltiness. SO GOOD! The bread was more on the crunchy side....still kinda soft but more crunchy. My personal preference is for it to be a little more soft...so it doesn't cut the top of my mouth lol. Will definitely be getting sandwiches from here again! Hopefully, I'll get a chance to go to the actual storefront. But now I know I have a go to spot if I really want a good sandwich!

It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.

I guess I need to roam around downtown Glen Ellyn more often... some friends and I gave it a try for lunch on a Friday. After stepping inside and taking one glance at the menu I knew it was going to be great. The menu has a ton of sandwich options, some pizzas, and a cooler with side salads and drinks. One bonus: they have little samples of the side salads, which is wonderful! The potato salad is incredible, by the way. Besides the menu being very easy to read, the staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. I went with The Viking sub, a potato salad, a bag of chips (Deep River, yum), and water (free and flavored with lemon!). It took just a minute or two for my sandwich to be made but the ambiance is chill and inviting. One small critique: they could clean up the "storage" feel to the place. We ate our meal al fresco, as those are the only tables they have, but it was enjoyable because the weather was nice. Most others grabbed and went. The food is outstanding! The sandwich was absolutely delicious and the toasted bread was perfection. Piled high with meat and toppings it is easily the best sandwich in the west suburbs. The Deep River chips are a great pairing, as always, and the potato salad was everything I was hoping for. In all the meal far exceeded expectations and I left full and happy. My friends were also equally impressed. If you can't already tell, I'm a fan... a BIG fan... of A&G's. The fact that it is right here in downtown GE...
