It was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a service provider, and I strongly encourage anyone looking for tree services to go elsewhere. They completely botched the job (not the crew's fault, they were told the wrong thing by their management), and after a lot of "oh we'll make this right" promises, have completed ghosted me, even after I voluntarily paid them half of the total in between the first mess up and attempting to get the job finished. I will now be finding a better company to come in and fix this. I've tried to write out the entire history of what happened here but there's a character limit on Yelp reviews so I can't provide the full story. I'll try to hit the highlights though.... We contacted them for some tree trimming because we needed to deal with branches hanging over our roof and that were encroaching on our neighbors' roofs. Josh came out and we talked for 30 minutes in my backyard to go over the scope: I want the tree closest to the house completely trimmed back so nothing was over the roof, and I want the two trees along the side and back of the yard trimmed back to the fence line so they weren't hanging over the neighbors yards at all. Pretty straight forward. Got a quote for $2200 which included a generic "canopy thinning" line item and taking 3 feet off the top of the trees. Great. Was the lowest price I'd gotten from 5 different companies. Approved the quote over the weekend and was told they'd be there Monday. Monday morning get a text saying the need to reschedule for Tuesday. Fine. I leave the house and go to work only to find out they showed up anyway about an hour later. They get started without me home, which is fine. Get a call from my wife at the end of the day saying what they've done doesn't make sense. I drive home and find out the crew had been told something completely different. They'd simply notched the branches around our roof, trimmed the branches closest to our neighbors' roofs, and taken EIGHT feet off the tops of the trees, not three. I inform them that's not what had been agreed upon, they get on the phone with (I assume) Josh, find out they'd been told the wrong stuff to start with, and go back up and finish the job. It was late in the day and these guys were exhausted, so they did kind of a crappy job. No shaping, small branches left hanging in the tree that continued to fall over the next several days, and a bunch of debris in my neighbors yard that they didn't clean up (they cleaned up great after the first round - not after the second...) After several discussions with Josh and Pillar (who I assume is the owner?) over the next day or two, I finally get someone back out to take a look a week later. Josh had assured me that fixing the issues would only take a few hours and he'd send "[his] best climber" out there to take care of it on Tuesday at 9AM. They don't get to the house until 11:30. Pillar and a climber show up to take a look and they both agreed that 1) the job was not done well, and 2) it's much more than a few hours of work to fix. So we decided to reschedule again, for the second week in July (2 weeks out). Pillar says he'll get in touch to schedule and I offered to go ahead and pay half of the $2200 so they at least get some revenue for the work thus far - not trying to screw over small businesses. He stops by to pick the check up a day later, and I have never heard from them again. The job is still unfinished and our trees look terrible. Despite repeated assurances that "we're not in the business of leaving people unsatisfied" and "we'll definitely make this right", they failed over and over and over at fixing their own problems. Seriously, do not trust a word these people tell you. Use literally anyone else for your tree trimming. The crews themselves seem very nice and respectful, hardworking, and capable, but the management and communication of this company is absolutely terrible. I called twice and texted repeatedly to try and get the final work scheduled and have been completely ghosted.

His quote was very reasonable to I agreed to the price. He came the very next day to perform the work which included topping off 2' and removing all branches that were touching or close to the side of the house and roof. He was on time, did everything I asked him, and cleaned everything up. I'll be using him again for the removal of a tree, and the pruning of a few others.

My property had very little room to maneuver and required the temporary removal of fencing. The tree in my front yard was an enormous Douglas fir, the roots of which were causing structural damage to my home in Tacoma. Matt and his crew were consummate professionals, cutting the tree into manageable sizes so that it could be hauled away for firewood and grinding the stump completely into sawdust. Once the job was done they thoroughly cleaned up and replaced my fence. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have no hesitation recommending them to others.

He successfully cleared 100' of a laurel hedge and also removed 2 dead trees - 1 maple and 1 willow. In each case he ground down the stumps so there was no returning. He came out again to do some hedge trimming. Each time Nick's team was professional, timely, and the price was the best I found anywhere. I moved to a condo, so don't need Nick's services anymore. But I would highly recommend him to anyone (and I have recommended him many times).

His straightforward way of speaking about his approach to the project, the timeline to schedule our service (after a statewide windstorm, which had kept his firm extra busy), and his pricing gave us the confidence that he not only knows the business of tree removal and maintenance, but that he also capably manages his firm too. True to his word, he met on scheduled dates and in the event that he was late, he updated via text. On the day of tree removal, his team arrived with several vehicles and all the equipment needed to remove the tree piece by piece. His team wore appropriate safety gear and moved in orchestrated order. Nick cautiously ensured that the entire work zone and route of removal were populated by only his crew. When I stepped out back to deliver a box of donuts, ALL WORK STOPPED on the site, until Nick cleared the area and confirmed that the team resume work. At one point, my long driveway was filled with branches and logs. By end of project, you would never have known that a tree had ever been in place and my drive was swept clean of any evidence of removal.
