Good gas quality is what make this gas station a great choice to fill in your car. Price is steep but you can't go wrong with 'em. It even have a convenience store where you can buy something quick to munch along the road. And the best part is every Thursday is Fajita's Day! I kid you not but this fajita is so good. Like a perfect breakfast to munch. Nothing fancy to it but boy, they taste so good. The recipe is from one of the workers and locals loved it so much that they decided to include it in the menu every Thursday. This location don't have packed meals but still grateful for being available 24/7. So canned goods and cup noodles are enough for us to fuel evenings to our tummy who's struggling to function well. Since I was already here I filled up and went into the market for a soda. This is not a great location and the store was run down. I had a gentleman who started up a conversation about my campervan at the pump advise me on my way inside that I was better off using my own restroom facilities so I didn't even bother checking them out. You can find better prices on gas in the area with a little research so here's hoping you do better than I did.

The guy working inside was very high and could barely give me a receipt…read more I also had to pull in against the arrows because I had a huge tank on the left and it takes a while to fill up my fuel cells (about 80 gallons in one fuel cell and 40 in the other which the fuel is used to support the wildland fires). If I went the same direction as the arrows and I filled up that way then I would block the customers needing fuel for quite a while, so I was trying to be courteous and previously the people working there didn't seem to have an issue with it, or at least not that they told me. A guy that worked there that I hadn't seen before, came up to me today and was very rude and unprofessional and told me to pull my truck around to face the other direction. I explained my reasoning but he was adament and with his being that rude and disrespectful, I just put the nozzle up and I told him that I would go somewhere else. He replied that that sounds good to him so I said that it sounded good to me too. Other people were cool here but the cashier was high as a kite and this other guy was really rude and obnoxious. Because of this man's attitude and unprofessional childish behavior, I won't be going there again.

I thought the name was odd for a gas station but better to not be stuck in the middle of nowhere which had already happened to me earlier this week. (Thanks, Oregon potholes!) Just driving through Maupin is a trip. Like so many other small towns I've seen so far in the state of OR, they're like time capsules unto themselves. Isolated and existing much as they have over the years without succumbing to big box corporate mundanity. If you drive too fast, you might miss this tiny service station. I loved looking at their two pumps enough to take a pic along with the sticker art nearby. :) The guy who pumped the gas was super nice and mellow. $39 for a regular fill-up for my rental Corolla.
